Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“It’s 6:40 on a Saturday night and I’m alone in this taco shop. I can’t understand that. Maybe it’s a K-town secret.
The food has excellent flavor. I ordered the carne asada bowl. The crunchies in top are special. It’s delicious, but the steak is a little chewy. It’s a lot of food for a reasonable price. The red salsa is super tasty, but use caution with the yellow salsa. She’ll make you cry.
I’ll probably come back tomorrow and order the chicken.

“Anytime anyone visits me in LA I take them to Angels to have tacos. They are reasonably priced, generously served, quick, home made tortillas. All of my visitors rave about this place and when they plan on visiting they always ask if we can get Angels tacos. 🌮 😋“

“Best Tacos I have ever had. No joke. Girlfriend & I stayed in Pasadena for a vacation a few weeks back, ended up getting these 4 nights in a row. I’m not even lying when I tell you this little Taco Truck was potentially the highlight of my entire vacation. God I wish I could have some more.“

Sadly that also meant be prepared to wait in long line especially on peak dinner time, which was right at their opening time. We did come on Saturday which probably made it worse.

Nothing fancy, it’s basically occupying a spot on the Pavilion’s parking lot at Hollywood. Quite limited chairs provided so it’s not uncommon seeing people eating while standing or using their car’s trunk.

We got their crowd’s favorite Ribeye and Flank Steak, both of which were indeed so so good in their own ways. Chunky juicy meats on top of the blue corn tortilla. Everything’s cooked fresh to order and they didn’t go complicated with sauce on top of your taco, which even made the meat more stand out, being so flavorful on its own.

If you felt like us and wanna try something beyond beef, certainly go for their Al Pastor, which was also luscious and I’d definitely come back again for.

Don’t forget opt for extra melted cheese on your taco!“

So helpful with recommendations when asked, provides great detail, and is so enthusiastic about the incredible menu. Tocaya at 2nd & PCH has lovely, fresh, bright, clean food. The menu is unique and flexible. You get to choose the protein you want, the cheese you want, whether or not you want your dish to be vegan. So many options and super tasty food! My friend really enjoyed the VEGAN Asada & VEGAN Tinga tacos. I loved my Taco Salad with gluten-free, battered & fried mahi-mahi (that was so, so scrumptious) with Queso Fresco. I swapped and got the cilantro lime dressing (instead of the roasted poblano dressing) and my bowl of goodies was delicious. We shared and relished the Street Corn and the (VEGAN) Queso & Chips. We were both shocked to find the Queso was VEGAN; it’s that good! We also tried the vegan Crema, just to check it out — SO yummy. AND the obviously homemade chips were mouthwatering. Tocaya has seasonal Sangria selections, beer, and other interesting drink options. They’ve got indoor and outdoor seating… and I recommend you head over soon!“

“Papas with Spinach is still the best breakfast burrito anywhere with amazing hot sauce. Been coming here since the late 90s and it’s the same, except more consistent hours now. It used to be they were open whenever they felt like working, which made you want it more🤣 Yeah, the staff is still grumpy and cold, but you get an amazing breakfast burrito.“

Can’t go wrong with anything you order honestly. Ask for the carrots they’re delicious. They do the work with quality and good stuff cause I usually get a tummy ache from Mexican food but from here I don’t. Totally worth coming here for tacos.

“I drive by this spot all the time and finally stopped to give it a try. I got the Al Pastor burrito and was sooo happy with my choice. You see them cooking it right in front of you, all fresh. “Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. “We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I just wish they'd open one in Claremont, CA!!! The Don't Mess With Texas is my favorite taco and my husband loves the brisket taco. Everything is amazing though!!!“

“Pretty typical taco truck, but it's the closest one and the food is always good and in stock. Burritos are my go-to, and I add sour cream. The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. They have bacon wrapped dogs, and nachos using round tostitos and actual nacho pump cheese like at the ballgame.“

They seem to have changed up the menu a little bit (not for the better according to my veg friend as they messed w her favorite taco) so buyer beware. But you can beat the outside patio at the Los Feliz location. And they have a secret tiny parking lot adjacent that I never knew about! “Finally tried this place out after driving past it for the nth time. They do $1.50 taco Tuesdays and is parked right next to the Starbucks off Duarte and Rosemead. A bit more difficult to get to if you're coming from east of the intersection due to the median island and no U turn restriction, but damn their food is worth the trouble. Their al pastor is very well seasoned and probably my favorite protein out of all the choices. Tacos come with grilled onions and a piece of potato, with thick cut cucumbers and slices of lime. Nachos are loaded with sauces and burritos are packed with flavors. They have 4 sauces, 2 red and 2 green. The thicker, opague looking ones are the spicier of the 4, while the clearer 2 are the less spicy ones.

Ever since my favorite taco truck at the vons plaza been swarmed with customers for the past couple months on Tuesdays, I've been looking for an alternative. And dare I say it, I think I've found it.“

“I've been going here for several years already. Their tacos are always filled with flavor and gotta love Buche and Tripita hehe. The employees are really good in memorizing how many tacos were given to each customer while they ate along the side. I also like the way they keep the area clean every time.“

“I tried the shrimp and fish tacos. They were decent, but honestly overpriced for what they are. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the patio is a nice place to sit. However, inside the restaurant it was hard to breathe because of the strong smell of fried oil, like the ventilation was not working well.

Parking can also be difficult, although there are paid parking options nearby. The tacos were okay, but the fish was too soft and covered in batter, so I couldn’t really taste the fish itself. The vegetables were fresh and nicely cut, and the sauces were good, but there were no extra toppings or salsa station like in many other Mexican taco spots.

Overall, it’s not a bad place, but for the price, I personally would not come back for these tacos.“
