“Let me start off with the staff is very helpful. The prices are also fair . We got breakfast and coffee. Everything was good with the exception of the French toast. It reminded me of Stone Hedge , in looks and perhaps in taste. (tuff and old ) . Could have been a one off . We will come back again. Happy New Year's.“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“It’s 6:40 on a Saturday night and I’m alone in this taco shop. I can’t understand that. Maybe it’s a K-town secret.
The food has excellent flavor. I ordered the carne asada bowl. The crunchies in top are special. It’s delicious, but the steak is a little chewy. It’s a lot of food for a reasonable price. The red salsa is super tasty, but use caution with the yellow salsa. She’ll make you cry.
I’ll probably come back tomorrow and order the chicken.
The employers are sweet. The shop is clean.“

“Anytime anyone visits me in LA I take them to Angels to have tacos. They are reasonably priced, generously served, quick, home made tortillas. All of my visitors rave about this place and when they plan on visiting they always ask if we can get Angels tacos. 🌮 😋“

“Best Tacos I have ever had. No joke. Girlfriend & I stayed in Pasadena for a vacation a few weeks back, ended up getting these 4 nights in a row. I’m not even lying when I tell you this little Taco Truck was potentially the highlight of my entire vacation. God I wish I could have some more.“

“love simon. recently the quality has decreased a bit, with twice getting soggy oily tacos that just dont have the care put into them that they used to. the new digital ordering tablet is really bad. i also wish they would put their salsas into to-go cups for you so it would be cleaner than a communal station. four stars because they used to be my favorite truck in la and i know what they’re capable of!“

“Seriously one of my favorite places to eat!! Delicious tacos (la flor is my favorite). Also love their corn, plantain chips and guacamole too. Great margaritas and agua frescas!! I recommend Taco Tuesday for $2.50 tacos and $2 off margaritas too! Service is always exceptionally friendly and fast too! Never waiting more than like 5-10 mins for food.“

“amazing food with an amazing chef. I came here before the hype and met the chef and he told me a little about the mission before they blew up and now it’s so cool to see him get his roses from all of his hard work.
the food is quality! the ribeye melts in your mouth, the pork belly is beautifully done and I love the suadero. make sure you get one of the agua frescas as well, the watermelon and jamaica are my favorite. i’ve had almost everything on the menu now and there isn’t a wrong choice. listen to your stomach you won’t be let down!“

“Such a cute place and the food is delicious. The service was good too. I had the fish taco and it was out of this world, the portion was generous as well. I also had the vegetarian burrito and a bean and cheese burrito, those were insane as well 🤯“
“I drive by this spot all the time and finally stopped to give it a try. I got the Al Pastor burrito and was sooo happy with my choice. You see them cooking it right in front of you, all fresh. The tortillas are handmade as well and you can absolutely tell the difference. Love the salsas as well. It’s quick, reasonably priced, and everyone is kind. What more can you want from a local taco stand? If you are wondering whether to stop in, just do it already and thank me later“

“Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. Please don't miss out.“

“We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I just wish they'd open one in Claremont, CA!!! The Don't Mess With Texas is my favorite taco and my husband loves the brisket taco. Everything is amazing though!!!“

“On our recent trip to California, we got to to eat and drink at amazing restaurants & bars. One of them was Guisados in Pasadena. It was a great experience with exceptional tacos as well as house made Sangria !! We had fish tacos, chicken tacos as well pork - all were delicious, freshly prepared with tortillas being made from scratch. The restaurant has limited inside seating but a great outdoor patio. Staff are friendly, helpful and with big smiles !!“

“We love coming to this spot for the Al pastor tacos, they open in the afternoon around 4:30 when we went so sometimes we miss them after our Chipotle run, we love that they serve the tacos loaded with meat so that adds a lot more meat to our chipotle bowl 😆 we have created the best of both worlds. & great free parking with the parking lot in that same corner is a plus.“

“I'm a regular here. Some of the best tacos I've had anywhere with expert preparation. The burritos are giant size and they hand it to you open so you can add your own salsa to your liking. Great prices too. Nice people. This is a go-to spot.“

“Pretty typical taco truck, but it's the closest one and the food is always good and in stock. Burritos are my go-to, and I add sour cream. The al pastor tacos are a little sweet for my tastes, so I usually get the suadero and asada. They have bacon wrapped dogs, and nachos using round tostitos and actual nacho pump cheese like at the ballgame.“

“I tried the shrimp and fish tacos. They were decent, but honestly overpriced for what they are. The staff was friendly, the food came out quickly, and the patio is a nice place to sit. However, inside the restaurant it was hard to breathe because of the strong smell of fried oil, like the ventilation was not working well.
Parking can also be difficult, although there are paid parking options nearby. The tacos were okay, but the fish was too soft and covered in batter, so I couldn’t really taste the fish itself. The vegetables were fresh and nicely cut, and the sauces were good, but there were no extra toppings or salsa station like in many other Mexican taco spots.
Overall, it’s not a bad place, but for the price, I personally would not come back for these tacos.“
“We are from out of state & have family in San Gabriel so whenever we are visiting we look up the Tacos Jalisco truck. We don't have many (if any) food trucks where we are from, and I have been to MX several times and had some real live tacos, and these guys are spot on. I highly recommend!“

“We found this place as an only option on a late night, and what a gem!
The owner is so friendly, and they have delicious salsa and pickled onions. You can tell they are made fresh every day. Everything is made with care and it shows. Also very affordable. This is our only spot for birria.“

“Solid Hispanic food truck with great price ($2 taco and $10 burrito as of March 2026). Only inconsistency would be the chef — depending on who’s cooking the amount of meat for burrito varies. Can customize order and choose your own condiments(cilantro, avocado sauce, green chili, red chili, onion, lime/lemon wedges, etc..).“

“I visit this spot whenever I'm craving delicious, budget-friendly tacos. The parking lot is friendly, with a security guard on-site to ensure safety. Just a heads-up avoid coming during Dodgers games, as it gets really crowded, making parking and wait times longer. The best part? They’re open late into the night, so you can enjoy great tacos anytime.“

“Simply the best birria and pollo tacos around. I recommend the plate with birria or the burrito with chicken, my favorite choices. Must have the churros with dulce de leche sauce, so good.“
“I got here by chance on a Saturday night, the parking lot was full and the line was long, so I assumed it was good. I am not lying when I tell you that these are probably the BEST TACOS I’ve ever had in my life. If you want to have the real street food experience in LA, this is absolutely it. Its opened every day from 1PM to 2AM. • Llegué aquí por casualidad un sábado por la noche, el parqueadero estaba lleno y la fila era larga, así que asumí que era bueno. No estoy mintiendo cuando te digo que estos son probablemente los MEJORES TACOS que he probado en mi vida. Si quieres tener la verdadera experiencia de comida callejera en Los Ángeles, esto es. Está abierto todos los días de 1PM a 2AM.“

“This is a convenient taco stand, especially if you’re coming from or heading to the Metro station right across the street.
The tacos were good, and they have a self-serve salsa bar. Everyone working there was nice.
I paid $26 for six tacos and a large horchata.“

“Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.
If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend the bowl. The flavors are spot on, the portions are generous (easily enough for two meals), and it’s hearty without being heavy.
This is my new spot. Maybe I’m a little biased since my family is also from Mazatlán, but trust me, this place is authentic and you feel good spending your money here.“

“Wonderful and helpful staff! Frances notcied me sitting outside and offered to bring a water. It was unexpected, above and beyond. Great healthy options too. Will definitely be back. “Great happy hour Mon-Fri 3-6. Inside is bright and spacious. There's a decent amount of seating in the main area. TVs over the bar to watch a game. There's also a large back area with picnic table seating and a small back outdoor patio. It's a good place for groups. The tacos are good. They're kind of a modern, fusion take. Not the usual street taco style. Can definitely recommend the open-faced quesadilla to help soak up the booze.
Service was good. Friendly staff. There's street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.“

“I was just passing through LA to switch Amtrak routes and was delighted to find Juanitas Cafe on Olvera Street. A simple but delicious place to get a hearty torta de choriza with champurrado. So convenient to Union Station but not a bland chain eatery. The owner prepares the food as his grandmother, Juanita, did.“

“Had a lovely time here! Beautiful spot, gorgeous vibes and the perfect place to catch up with friends. Our service wasn’t wonderful when we came - it seemed they may have been understaffed - but I was impressed with how ethical this restaurant is. Without us even complaining (we tipped normally, said nothing, etc), they emailed me after to send a gift card. That kind of care towards your customers does not go unnoticed, and is such a breath of fresh air in LA. I can’t wait to come back!“

“We came back here after an year and the food still tastes the same, very delicious. The only thing that changed was that they got upgraded to a taco truck and it is called Tacos Los Poblanos. We tried chorizo tacos, Al pastor burrito and chicken Quesadilla. Every thing was on-point and the salsas were excellent. Highly recommend getting their Quesadilla with freshly handmade corn tortilla.“
