I ordered the Lobster ravioli, which was an appetizer, for my dinner and a dinner sized portion was served. It was delicious and I devoured the whole dinner. Will come again when we are in the are.”

We thought the host of the cafe was attentive and friendly alongside Francis - she’s a very warm, attentive, and loving lady who also recommended us to try their special Eggs Benedict.

The Waitress took our order for us starting with coffee, Eggs Benedict, and Omelette with Ham and Cheese. Each meal served with hash browns, and mine came with an English muffin too.

We waited probably around 10-12mins, the Eggs Benedict came a bit later but not that much different from a wait.

What we loved about their breakfast, both weren’t too overpowering with flavours. And that we can simply add condiments when we want to.

The only downside was the coffee no kick of strong, bold and good flavour and aroma from the coffee - we felt just drinking flavoured drink. Also the ambience which can be a bit noisy around, especially, we came during the peak hours.

We want to give compliments to the staff, the cooks, and the overall service. We’re very pleased with the food. And special mention to Francis, her enthusiasm and energetic presence added value to the Red Hut Cafe.

They have a good wine list and the sea bass and braised rib were wonderful! The menu isn't expansive but all the choices were very good, including the burrata starter. Service was friendly and attentive.”

They also catered an amazing desert table this past weekend for a family event. My only complaint is the deserts were so good, they were completely gone by the end of the night and I wasn’t able to take any home. I guess my loss is everyone else’s gain.. next time I’m hiding some for myself.”

“Excellent Italian dinner with family on a weekend in South Lake Tahoe. What a great discovery! Conveniently on the boulevard, with a free parking lot at the rear and along the window front. Fully wheelchair accessible from parking / sidewalk with ramp. Called in for a reservation late afternoon, took a table at 7pm. We went there mid October, although during shoulder season the place was packed and many families were on a waitlist. Greeted by friendly, welcoming front desk and seated within minutes by helpful usher (booth table at the window). Server welcomed us, provided menu/drink list and explained the daily specials. Ice water, our drinks, and bread with olive oil were quickly served while we selected our dishes. We shared two appetizers, followed by mains and desserts. What a feast, can't remember when I had Italian comfort food that good. Tasty, delicious, hot plates and big portions. Yummy! At a great pace of being served, absolutely not being rushed. High five, highly recommended!!!”

“My husband and I *landed* at The Landing on the last week of May 2025, out of complete happenstance! We started out our honeymoon at The Post Marc Hotel, after seeing 4-5 rooms, each in worse condition than the last, we kindly requested a refund and left. We had no idea what to do, our honeymoon was off to a rocky start, but little did we know The Landing had us covered! We saw they had good reviews and decided to walk inside and see what it was like! We were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and outgoing staff members Charles and Serafina! They listened to our story, empathized with us, and were able to get us an amazing deal on a room! They let us walk around and take a look at it before we purchased which was much appreciated and helped in our decision making! And Charles even made sure we had a complimentary bottle of Chardonnay to “help start the honeymoon out right”, I mean what a sweetheart, so thoughtful and kind! Charles and Serafina truly made MAGIC happen for us and we could not be more grateful to them. They are the reason we had a wonderful honeymoon and we are just so thankful. After getting us situated in a fabulous room with: heated floors, heated toilet seats, jet tub, dual shower, fireplace and patio complete with mountain & lake views, we were told all about, all the perks of staying at The Landing! They have a shuttle that can take you or pick up anywhere in the local area, they had a lovely heated pool and spacious jetted spa, and we were given free beach passes to a private section of the beach! Everything was wonderful! Stephanie & Mel at the front desk checked on us each morning to see how our stay was going! From the quick and attentive housekeeping, to Kevin the wonderful conversationalist bell hop & shuttle driver, to server Aaron’s 5 star room service from Jimmy’s restaurant, even down to the little coffee kiosk in the lobby loving filled with hot chocolates, apple ciders and toppings—everything was perfect!!! And everyone made sure our experience was top notch, the hospitality was unmatched! We had such a nice time that now we won’t stay anywhere else in Tahoe, this is our new go to spot! If you have absolutely any hesitation about booking with The Landing—DON’T! When you’re at The Landing, you are truly in safe hands, with a warm and attentive staff that genuinely cares about your time there. Thank you to everyone at The Landing for providing the most incredible honeymoon experience! We will definitely be back! “Beautiful experience! I took my mom for a nice holiday dinner - we started with the pork belly with a nice pairing of strawberry salad. For entrees, we had the mushroom ravioli and the scallops - yum! Cooked perfectly, and the sauces were rich and flavorful, will definitely order these again! We passed on dessert, but a bottle of New Zealand Sauv Blanc was perfection as we delighted in the wonderful service. Will enjoy this place again and again!”

The spicy chicken wings were crisp and flavorful with just the right amount of spice from the Serrano peppers. The bok choi, broccoli, and veggies we had were fresh and nothing was greasy. The noodles were great and we enjoyed the different meats we ordered. They season things well and nothing is overly sauced.

If you're looking for amazing food with wonderful service and hospitality, you'll enjoy this restaurant and the dining experience they provide. We will be back each time we come to Tahoe!”

The hostess would not let us sit at the table to start ordering drinks because we were missing 2 out of the 8 people in our group. needless to say we already had 6 ready to be seated. once we were seated the table next to us had the umbrella slanted. this caused the table to fly over from a gust of wind shattering a plate and cutting my leg. the stay was kind enough to provided a wipe and some bandaid. We continued our night until the hostess decided to empty water cups from other guest into the flower bed behind us. Which then caused the dirt to splash up on one of our guest white shirts and be covered in mud. A smug sorry was replied out. As stated before the food was terrific and the wait staff was great but the hostess needs to be replaced.”
