“Came here after a day at the beach. Family size was 2 adults 1 child (child not a picky eater). We’re not locals but from the IE and we try a new place every time we’re in town.

Hands down love everything about this place from the food, service to the atmosphere. My only complaint would be to add some sort of seafood dish for the kids menu (grilled shrimp or a grilled piece of fish) not all kids are picky eaters mine especially loves lobster, shrimp, octopus, and clams.

“We've always wanted to try a seafood boil. The food was fun to eat and tasted great. There were choices on the type of seasoning and how spicy you want your boil. I only wish more thought was put into the presentation. The pictures online show silver pots and plates. We received our seafood boil double bagged in plastic. After spending over $300 for a birthday dinner for two, I expected a little bit more.“

“I Had the frog legs, parmesan fries and the Cajun rice. Everything was perfect except the rice. The Cajun rice was a little gummy and some grains of rice were still hard. The atmosphere was quiet and the customer service was wonderful. Reasonable prices were appreciated.“

“We have been frequent patrons at killer crab near south coast plaza and our original plan for our party of 9 was to go there but there was a 2.5 hour wait. My son found this place on yelp and we called and they told us that there was no wait at 7pm on a Sunday night. We drove up and saw that the restaurant is located in the Main Place Mall near the discovery science cube. Other than one table the entire restaurant was empty which was a little suspicious. We sat down and the menu was similar to the one from killer crab. We ordered a calamari for appetizer and the. Most of us ordered shrimp and crawfish and a couple of people ordered grilled shrimp tacos. The sauces tasted good but were much oilier or greasier than the one that we are used to. You have the option of getting your grump without shell which costs about $6 more a pound. Patrons started to roll in at 7:30 and by 7:30 there we a total of 7 parties and the restaurant was about 50% full. Our server was Michelle who was very nice but overall the service is super slow compared to other busier places that want to turn over the table. Overall food was 4/5, service 4/5, ambience 3/5. . After we received our bill, I had to change my score. They charged us different prices that were on the menu. They charged us more for the shrimp and the excuse was that prices have gone up and they charge market prices which is not what the menu said. Only crab and lobster were shown as market price. They also charged us for the sauces that comes with the food even though, again the menu didn’t say anything about extra change for the sauces and other Cajun shrimp places like killer shrimp never charge extra for the sauces!
Our server adjusted the prices after we complained.

“Hi everyone, ok so I ALWAYS get the clam chowder in the bread bowl everytime I come to the park. Kind of a tradition with me. Ive never had a issue with it, sorry for no photo, i was hungry lol. I love how the chowder is always fresh, the bread is always warm & always tasty. I get why they have to charge what they charge which wasn't a issue for me. The costs like 15-20$ which is WAY cheaper than the same in Hawaii which is like 40. The only downside is its not a huge amount of soup tho chowder isn't designed to over fill you. I love it either way 10/10 for me :)“

“Mlem Mlem Crab is a seafood lover's dream come true! My group and I got a mixture of fresh shrimp, crab, mussels, and crawfish in our boil, which suited everyone's tastebuds! The seafood was cooked to perfection and covered in their delicious signature mlem mlem crab and garlic butter sauce. We also added extra items like sweet corn, boiled eggs, sausages, and tender red potatoes which complemented the seafood and sauce beautifully. I appreciated that I could customize every part of the seafood boil from the spice level of the sauce to the individual items in the boil itself, allowing me and my group to tailor the meal to our tastes.On top of the great food, the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, making it an excellent place for a casual dinner with friends. “Everything was absolutely delicious!!! The hot passion mocktail was the perfect blend of tart and spicy. We had the duck tacos and pumpkin and prawn soup, which we would make a special trip back for. Manny was excellent and checked on us throughout the meal. Above and beyond service! There was live music with an amazing violinist and pianist. I would highly recommend this restaurant! Plus it's absolutely beautiful inside!“

“I had family from out of the country come visit and we took them to Disneyland. I knew I had to take them to this restaurant in the whole park. Now because the trip to Disney was so last minute we did not get reservations. The restaurant took us as a walk in when they opened with a smile on. We still got a great table for our party. We had a picky eater in our group and the restaurant gave us something off the menu to accommodate us. I was blown away by the service and just how kind everyone was to us. At the end of the night I asked my family what was their favorite part of the park and everyone mentioned Blue Bayou. Thank you for making me look like such an amazing tour guide!!!“

“My family come here all the time, the food is always fresh and hot and delicious. Only issues I've come across is sometimes the same spice levels will feel less or more spicy then previously, and it's very hard to get ahold of staff on busy days. I feel like adding call buttons at tables would fix this issue. Other then those minor problems I highly recommend!

“I knew it was in for something good when the tables cloths were butcher paper. It wasn't too busy at lunchtime on a Sunday, and I was seated right away.
The next indicator of what was to come was the table settings: a disposable bib, vinyl gloves, and scissors (no knives, forks or spoons to be seen).
The menu takes a cue from Raising Cane's, and it's simple and direct.
The menu features crab legs, crawfish, shrimp (heads on or off) and muscles. I chose crab legs (labeled as "Market Price"... i.e. $68/lbs today)... Expensive, but one of my favorites.
They provided "complimentary" French fries (mmm. Cajun fries) as an appetizer. The legs were served a short time later, brought to my table in two layers of plastic bag, tied at the top and steaming hot. I'd chosen Cajun spicy, and it smelled amazing as I opened the bag.
I should have used the bib, but I did use the gloves, and it fun and delicious to dig into the two clusters of perfectly boiled legs simmered in a delicious blend of spices. I only got one spot on my shirt (?), but cleaning up after was easy due to the gloves. I used the outer bag for the shells and I think with the gloves and scissors I got ever bit of meat out of those legs.
Fun, messy, delicious. Definitely a treat and a "must come back when my wallet recovers.".
Definitely recommend if you like Cajun spiced seafood.

It was completely empty when we got there but we still decided to give it a try.The oysters were very fresh and they have the best prices I’ve seen so far, we spent over $100 so we were able to get the extra pound of crab for $8 and it was so worth itWill definitely be coming back. “If you want great Cajun sea food at a semi reasonable price I would go here. For a group of 6 it cost almost $250 plus. We go about every 2 months. The atmosphere is very sparce, with Bucher paper on the table.

“I was here for a birthday party, due to this event all of the staff was assigned to this event from 5:00 pm to 7:30 dinner and the bar services wasn't being offered . Once services were back in full swing, the margaritas were margarotahs terrible . Hosting a party and while being open as a full bar was too much for them to handle, they can only do one or the other.“
