“I stopped by here to pick up lunch for my wife. I found parking easily because it's in a big plaza with many parking spots. When I walked in, I was greeted by the worker and I looked at their menu first since my wife wanted the kids deal. I didn't see it on their menu so I asked and the worker told me they still have the deal. So I went with the chow mein, fried rice and kung pao chicken. I also asked for a side of chicken spring roll since my wife loves that. When I was about to pay, the worker asked if I was a Panda Express reward member which I was and after I scanned my QR code she asked if I wanted to use my reward for the free appetizer. The kids deal come with a free drink so I got my wife the Raspberry tea and also apple chips. My wife loved her dish, she said the chow mein and fried rice was delicious. They didn't give a big portion of the kung pao chicken but I guess they figure kids won't eat a lot.Vegetarian options: They have some healthy, non meat selection.Parking: There are many spots for parking.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: This place is wheelchair accessible.“
“Decent Taiwanese food for the area at reasonable prices. Everything is made with care, but unfortunately some dishes lack spice, including the basil eggplant, the twice cooked pork and the lotus root appetizer. Dan dan noodles (originally a Sichuanese dish) are significantly toned down with sesame paste and honestly are not very flavorful; personally, I would avoid it. Beef noodle soup is probably one of the standout dishes; the broth is really good, but it could benefit from a slightly larger portion size.“
“Xiao long bao is excellent. Beef noodles are flavored just right. Beef is very tender. Noodle texture is perfect. Braised pork belly is very yummy. One suggestion is to slice the pork belly thinner. It's hard to eat a large chunk and get all the layers.“
“The food was so authentic it stunned my mom. I've never seen her so pleasantly surprised by a restaurant. It's hard to find dishes like Liangpi and Big Plate Chicken outside of China, and even if you can the flavors are often diluted. The noodles here were perfectly chewy, the stew in the BPC was rich and thick (rivaling Dolan's even). And the prices aren't bad at all. We'll be coming here again, and exploring their other locations too.“
“Known for their highly Instagrammable "Magic Noodles" that turn from blue to purple when you add their sauce. Fun and pretty decent meal with good sized prawns for protein. We also got their Drunken Noodles. A little smaller for the portion comparatively, but overall good flavor. They also have a brunch menu and Bottomless Mimosas for $25 wirh a 90 minute time limit! Pretty good deal and you can walk to the West Hollywood bars from here. Service was good and definitely kept our glasses filled! Ambiance is a little dated, but still cute.“
“This was my first time back in several years and my boyfriend’s first time as well!! Immediately we were greeted, sat promptly and had an excellent server names Asia. She was super sweet, knowledgeable and just over all the nicest server ever! Definitely will be coming back. Good job guys!“
“We have just discovered this place, it is really appreciable that it is halal and offers great flavors from Chinese and Thai cuisines. Especially try the Mongolian, Chow Mein, and Tom Yum Soup. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast“
“The food is phenomenal. The people are fantastic the service I love it especially when I order for delivery it's always on time it's warm. It's well worth the price of the food and the restaurant was newly remodeled so it's a great place to eat. The owners are fantastic. The waiters are good, you can't go wrong at this place keep up the great work. We love you guys to death your number one customer“
“Has the potential to be the best Chinese food in the valley but they suffer from terrible inconsistencies. Dining in is really your only option as delivery is often cold and mushy. Lunch is great! Dinner, (same dishes), not so much. The bearded waiter is definitely a &$£€ and not cut out to be a service person. He definitely takes away from the dining experience which is a shame because dining in gets you far superior food to their takeout.“
“The most kind staff! It’s no wonder this place is busy - my friend and I had the best time here and I look forward to returning. Special shout out to Jared who made us feel welcome and to our bartender in the back room who was so lovely - I think her name started with an E. 10/10“
“If you can't get to SGV, where the quality and selection of Chinese food is incredible, Sam Woo is a great valley option. Standouts are their BBQ meats; roast duck, roast pork , char siu. Good selections of all noodle dishes; chow menial, Lo Meir, chow fun. Then like most Chinese restaurants hundreds of options. The key here is their consistent authentic dishes. Casual and good service.“
“I was really sad when chengdu closed because I had been going there for years and loved it. I gave this spot a try a few months ago and while I do still miss it, at least this is still better than any other Chinese place I’ve found in the valley. Chengdu had a bigger menu, so while there are some things I can no longer get, this place does the basics well.“
“I just want to say that I’ve been eating at this restaurant for many years, always been happy with the taste of the food and the great service I receive. My server Jen was outstanding and manager Kim has always been great to me.Thank you for being the best.“
“P.F. Chang's never fails to impress with its flavorful and authentic Asian cuisine. The Mongolian Beef is a personal favorite – tender beef, crisp green onions, and just the right amount of heat. Pair it with their signature Chang's Spicy Chicken for a perfect meal!“
“This was my first order from here. I could just tell that they do care about their customers. I love Pad Thai I know it's like the most basic thing but not everyplace can hit it. Everytime I order through Postmates or door dash from different places that would be only 15 mins away, The Pad Thai would just get so dry and got no flavor when it gets to me eventho there would be a request saying "please make it extra saucy" no one seemed to ever listen. But Delish Thai Kitchen CAME THROUGH with the extra saucy and so much flavor. And they even left me a note I really do appreciate that you did that. Thank you Gonna be my favorite place to order from now.“
“I'm giving this a 4 because it's good for Chinese fast food, probably more of a 3.5 but we can't do that, the food quality is not the best but the taste is good with everything being moist and juicy, I live off of Sepulveda and Devonshire so it wasn't something I will not be going to much because of distance but had to try it and was pleased with it.“
“First time here and I have to say I didn't experience any bad customer service. Everyone was very nice and attentive. My friend ordered a refill on hot tea and we were so deep in conversation we didn't notice the server had already stealthily set it down on the table. The location is what it is but don't get it twisted this is no hole in the wall, it's a small restaurant with limited seating but your food is fresh, and HOT. Can't wait to go back. I got to read some reviews after and I can see if it's busy and they're short a person that service may not be top notch. I always go into a new dining experience with the approach that I'm going to rate it 5 stars unless they give me a reason not to. I hope my fellow yelpers are civilized enough to voice their concerns directly to the staff as they seem like the type of people who will make a wrong right.“
“It's a place you drive by and not even notice. But it's definitely a place you should stop at. The food, price and portions are great! I had sweet and sour chicken, rice, noodles, and orange chicken. It was so good and made probably 3 meals for me. Will be coming back. Thank you!“
“I love this place. I work nearby. I go there 2-3 times a week for lunch break. For what you pay for you get very large portions. So much better than Panda Express. The staff is very friendly. If you work close to Hollywood and Gower or are a tourist, please come to Maxim Chinese Food. Good price for what you get.“
“Such great Chinese food! I'm glad they're open on Tuesdays now. I usually get pick up for Chicken Fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, or Shanghai noodles. The food is always perfect and delicious. Today though... I ordered SnS Chicken and when I went to pick it up they had told me they are no longer mixing the sauce in because it gets soggy. I love it soggy!! And it's not even soggy. Just a perfect sauce mix ratio. So who ever complained about it being soggy... you just ruined it!!! I'll order it next time and ask that the sauce is mixed in.“
“How did it take me this long to find this beautiful place! Talk about hidden surprises in the city of Angels, this is one of those! This has to be, the best Chinese food in all of Los Angeles! May I recommend the deep fried cheese, I think they call it something different, but it's the cream cheese, deep-fried, so creamy, so delicious! The hot and sour soup is so amazing, it's like heaven, just like the chicken, they serve And if you're lucky - you'll be in Louis's section!!“
“I thought I placed an order online. After 1/2 hour, I went to pick it up at about 6 pm. They did not have it. (My fault) However, they promptly got my 2 items ready and even offered me a snack. Great service, kindness, and especially food. The shrimp with lobster sauce was actually very tasty, and I had no urge to add my own garlic and other spices to it.“
“Unbelievable food. This place is a hidden gem. And CBS executives & TV show directors cant get enough of this restaurant. The Pheonix Buns are Outstanding. The seafood is scrumptious! I mean it is Totally Fabulous. Wonderful Chefs. I personally give it a 10 star super rating.“
“Wow, when I get a craving for sushi ? it's nice to know that Le Sushi is there. The Chinese dishes are great and the sushi is very good. Best kosher sushi in Los Angeles.Dietary restrictions: Kosher restaurant with a reliable certification.Wheelchair accessibility: On the first floor with no steps to enter.“
“The food here is very affordable! The service is amazing as well. I called for pickup and I was stuck on what to order so I asked for a recommendation. She told me everything! This is the first and only time that when I called for a pickup that I chatted with the staff for a couple minutes. We were just laughing and talking, super sweet! I ordered the Pad Thai which was decent & my partner got the Drunken noodles! Both were very decent and I'll definitely come back again.“
“First, this is really a very authentic 1960's era cantonese ( & more) style good ole Chinese Restaurant. So, when you walk in, prepare to enter a time machine. Now the "young" gentleman who runs this place is very friendly & welcoming. We've been in the area for a long time & chinese restaurant shopping, as we LOVE hot & sour soup & the last few places we've ordered from were disappointing, so we had seen MK for a long time & ordered some take out. FANTASTIC.... good size portions... yummy egg rolls, DELICIOUS hot & sour soup, yummy bbq ribs, chicken chow mein & beef pea pods. Everyone's prices have risen, but the amount & quality for the price here makes this one of the best classic chinese restaurants for us !!!“
“I ate here weekly when I worked in Studio City. Really good and made to order Chinese food. I recently order take out from there. BBQ pork is excellent! As is the kung pao chicken, bbq pork fried rice and the wonton soup! Just a good as I remembered. Restaurant is always clean.“
“The food and service is always fantastic here. This is my go to place. My wife and I come here at least twice a week. Occasionally we venture out looking for other Chinese Resturants that might be better, but no other place compares to this resturant. We always end up returning here. Stop by and check it out. Say hi to the owner, Vincent, or his assistant, Don. They are both super nice people. You won’t be disappointed.“
“Peking chicken and Mongolian beef are my favorite entrees aside from black bean noodle. Typically Peking chicken is on the spicy side with a lot of flavor. Mongolian beef is sweet and no broccoli because it’s Chinese Korean fusion. We typically frequent the Glendale location. Good foodParking: 2 parking lots“
“Absolutely love this place! Not the fanciest, but the prices are great, the potions can’t be beat, and the man who owns the place is so kind. Cash only and no delivery are the only major downsides, but for take out it is my go-to Chinese place.“
“This is a good stop for delicious food to share and drink for a good price. The Warrior chicken (kind of like DIY chicken baos) and scallion pancakes were delicious.Drinks wise - the choochoo is so refreshing, if you’re thinking more sweet and frothy go for the Phuket watermelon drink.Only reason I took a star away on the review is the service is so slow and bad. Our waitress was very inattentive. Took about 20 minutes to even place our orders and perhaps another 15-20 minutes to grab the check. If you’re in no rush then it’s not a big deal…“
“Got the chicken pad Thai which was made fresh and definitely knows how to cook it correctly. Love that they were extremely friendly and parking was easy. Food tasted great ended up really full and had to just relax for a bit. Definitely recommend but it can go towards the upper 10s in cost per person.“
“Great choice for Chinese food nearby Universal Studios. Can't beat the prices for the food with generous portions and lots of options. Took ours to go but they had a few seats inside. Located right in a strip mall off with a few parking spots and easy access back to the roads.“
“Went in for an early dinner on a Saturday. Had the daily special of Chicken green curry, salad, egg roll, and white rice. Great flavour! Not so much food that I felt bloated afterwards. Service was prompt and friendly. And the price was great, too! ($14.50) I’ll be back the next time I’m in Van Nuys.“
“Their black bean noodles (jjajangmyeon) is my family’s go-to when we are craving korean food. It comes with picked radish as a side dish and they are pretty big. The dumplings are also juicy and delicious. I have yet to try the other dishes, but would like to explore more food from this place.“
“Came here for the first time on a Thursday night right as they opened. We were the only sit down customers and the gentleman at the register waited on us hand and foot. We ordered the veggie egg rolls, calimari, orange chicken with white rice, and beef chow phun and it was all delicious. The orange chicken had a nice kick, the calamari wasn't too rubbery and I love the flavor the jalapeños added. He even gave us two complimentary teas- the mango mint which was to DIE for, and the black Sesame milk tea, which had a subtle and honestly kinda watery, but the aftertaste was really good. I could kinda tell this service was in hopes that we would leave a review, and he basically confirmed that by saying they were running a promotion where they hoped we would leave a review- however I started leaving this review before he said that lol. Anyways, great service and great food“
“a very cool place with very good food, and a nice little concert area. the concert area is separate from the eating area and if you are trying to see the concert I believe you have to pay, even if you are a customer, but I am not sure, in any case, it has a free parking lot which makes it better than 100% of other Hollywood venues. the performers need places to park, because even in a society without too many cars, musicians are probably going to need cars to transport their gear so those parking lots are still going to be important I think.“
“Great spot when you want simple takeout Chinese. I really like the wonton soup, tasty and they include lots of fresh veggies and pack it carefully with chili sauce packets and a lemon slice. Nice staff! They have seating but it’s utilitarian, vibe is takeout-oriented.“
“I really enjoyed our trip to Vim in Hollywood. The food was delicious, and the customer service was excellent. We got the seafood soup and it was delicious. It had oysters, crab, lobster, shrimp, squid, and fish. There was a bit of a wait since we went on the weekend but besides that the overall experience was excellent .“
“Absolutely delicious food. My husband and I had the pork buns, beef roll, and pork dumplings. Everything was perfect from the portions to the flavors, we will absolutely be back in the future! We shared each item and it was the perfect amount for 2 people at a very reasonable $45 including two drinks. Would recommend to anyone strolling the blvd!“
“This is the best Chinese food in all of Sherman Oaks--and believe me, I have looked. I moved here from having spent my entire life being surrounded by good Chinese food, and I was depressed at the lack of options. Until I found Bamboo Cuisine. This place does Chinese food the right way, authentically and super fresh! It's a little bit more upscale/pricier than your local Chinese takeout spots--but the price you pay is absolutely reflected in the quality of the food. I love that it's also family-owned, and the servers actually speak Chinese (and obviously, English)--which is important to me. I came here on Lunar New Year once as I was feeling home sick, and was so touched at their good mood, and accommodation. They ended up sending me home with a complimentary quart of soup, which was so kind! My usual orders are Yang Chow Fried Rice, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings, Bamboo Chicken, Beef & Broccoli--but truly everything I've had here is delicious and authentic. I order from them at least once a week!“
“One of my favorite restaurants to this day, have known the staff for quite some time and have always joined the food. Food is pretty cheap for the size portions as well. As for the ambiance of the place its not longer dine in but when it was it felt very home like and comfortable. As for now its only takeout.“
“I saw a post regarding this place and decided to stop by to try them out, the post I saw showed that they were very generous with their portions, I can confirm that they do serve humongous portions that you can just barely close the lid of the food Container.I ordered the chow mien/fried rice with spicy pork and 3pcs fried chicken wings, I love the spicy pork, the fried rice and chow mien were also good. They have other foods I have to try out.The servers were friendly and professionalThe dining area feels kinda divey but functional and clean, I came in around 5:30pm, not sure of their operating hours. I looked for and didn’t see a sign stating their hours, I wish they have a self serve soda fountain instead of selling them by the can.Parking: Mini strip mall type parking lot“
“My absolute GO TO for great Chinese Food!! This restaurant reminds of the great Chinese food we used to have growing up on the east coast!I always get the shrimp fried rice and the shrimp lo main. And they have great portion sizes. Even my parents eat from here when they visit from the east coast!!Thank you Emperor Express!!Brandon Larkins“
“They have the best American style Chinese takeout in Burbank. I had a hard time finding a place when I moved here and they were right under my nose! Lovely employees, good value, great portions.I will say they do close a bit early for what I would have thought for a Chinese restaurant but it is a pretty quiet suburban neighborhood.“
“Amazing place. Everytime I come I always grab the lettuce cup and the pan fried noodles. I haven't seen these on the menu anywhere else and they never disappoint. The staff are always welcoming and easy to have a conversation with. If you need a drink recommendation, they are always spot on. Overall, there's a reason why locals come back here.“
“Very friendly service. The food was good not great. I think I need to learn what their best dishes are. I really liked the beef chow fun. Fried rice was okay. I was not happy with the tangerine chicken, not because there was anything wrong with it but because I used to get it at another place and this was differently prepared and not what I was hoping for. My search for a replacement continues. I will definitely give them another try.“
“The food there is traditional Chinese buffet food exactly what I was looking for so it fulfilled my hankering for that type of meal.Parking: Parking lot is a bit cramped. The restaurant is in a mini shopping center so there's like 6 7 business n 1 or 2 parking spots per business“
“We found this place when looking for a “mom and pop” type Chinese restaurant. It’s sort of a dive, no frills. There wasn’t anyone else there when we stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon, just a repeat customer happily picking up a to-go order. Parking was easy. The man who took our order also made the food. 2 employees total. Don’t expect 5 star service or fancy dinnerware. But do expect delicious, authentic Chinese food. It came out super fast and they even gave us extra rice when we took our leftovers home. We got the shrimp lo mein, ma po tofu, and hot tea. The shrimp was big and plentiful, the tea was a bit weak (let it steep longer if you want it stronger), and I highly recommend the ma po tofu. It was spicier than expected. We’ll be back again, but maybe just for take out.Vegetarian options: The Vegetable section isn’t necessarily vegetarian. We made sure the ma po tofu didn’t have meat in it before ordering. Vegetarian options include vegetable fried rice, lo mein, and some other basics like broccoli and simple tofu dishes. They have white or brown rice.“
“This is one of the best restaurants we know of. Not only is the food fantastic, but the owners and staff are amazing people. They are very kind and considerate, and very willing to accommodate large groups, or an occasional special request, etc. We've had several larger groups events catered by them as well and they are terrific to work with about these. And let me mention again how good the food is! They have a big menu and we've never had a dish that didn't look and taste great. It's not just Chinese food but they have some other Asian dishes as well.“
