We met up with friends here before a concert and its was nice. Bar tenders were very attentive and made sure we were taken care of while we were there. I ordered an espresso martini, superb! “The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“Came here on a Wednesday to check it out & had a nice experience. The host & manager make sure that everyone that walks through the door can at least order a beverage while they wait. Very attentive & brought me a menu while I waited for a seat at the bar. Early was great, took my drink order & found me when it was ready (I ordered the Mango). My cocktail wasn’t something I would normally order but still enjoyed it. Once I snagged a bar stool, I ordered the hamachi crudo & WOW. It was perfectly tart, spicy, herbaceous & the pistachios provided a nice crunch to the delicate texture. I finished my visit with a gin & tonic which was excellent. I believe they may make their tonic in house & was perfectly balanced & a refreshing way to end the night. Bartender could have been a little more attentive after I paid (halfway through my g&t), I debated ordering another drink but decided not to after she didn’t come back to me. Overall great experience though. Highly recommend calling ahead or arriving early.“

It’s a casual walk up spot offering the favs like birria (beef) tacos, skirt steak, Al pastor and more! Can’t forget to order guac & chips and they serve a HEAVY portion! Wash it all down with an iced horchata :)
They have limited parking in the rear, spacious outdoor patio with umbrellas and tables, quick and nice service!“

“So so good! Their basic house salad had a very clean, delicious taste with a lemon vinaigrette. We also got a cheese pizza and 10/10 would recommend. Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I'd never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.“

“It is a dive bar that's cash only.
No judgement for morning or midday drinking. You can disappear for an hour or two before you face the world. Not a family place and not a restaurant. Dimly lit and cozy.

“We went here when exploring the Hollywood area on a whim and looking for a comfortable lounge bar to end our evening with. Came across this one when searching for recommended lounges, and after passing 2 that weren’t the evening vibes we were hoping for, we were very happy to take a chance on this one.

The Spare Room is on the mezzanine floor of the Roosevelt hotel, but doesn’t require you to be a guest or have reservations (at least we didn’t need to when we came on a Monday evening in January). Walking into the lounge, there’s a bar followed by a series of couches on the left, great for a date night or drinks after work with friends. Next to the couches are pool tables, they aren’t too full when we came in but I wouldn’t be surprised if they are popular on busier nights.

The bartender was wonderful, easy to have conversations with and she was very accommodating when I asked if she could use less syrup and more coffee in the espresso martini, which was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely overall has an atmosphere of authentic vibes, welcoming staff, and options to chill, chat, or play some games with friends old or new.

There wasn’t live music when we came, but the bartender said there often is depending on the night, and we will look forward to coming again soon!“

“What an amazing neighborhood bar!! I’ve been to the many iterations of this bar, and this is a Great place. Karaoke, games, tables and couches to sit on and hang out with friends, a pool table and outdoor patio.
I unfortunately didn’t catch the karaoke lady’s name but she remembered my name.
Celebrated my 19 anniversary with friends and we had a great time.
Super honest people there too- a purse was left at our table when we moved to a different part of the bar, and they had put our purse behind the bar. We will definitely be back. Drinks were a little expensive, but everything is going up in price. Worth it to have a cute neighborhood bar. It was a nice mix of straight and gay, young and older.

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.“

“My brother and I had the most amazing night of superb jazz and food this past Sunday, entertained by Betty Bryant and ensemble. Her fingers moved like liquid gold on the keyboard and her compositions were witty and mesmerizing. The word that kept coming to mind as they performed was "subtle." The music was powerful, but so discrete as to be gentle and gentile. Woodwinds, Bass, and Drums - all played with the kind of delight that makes everyone love the performers as well as the music. As for food, one dish stood out particularly: the creamed spinach with blue cheese. Please tell Chef I would love that recipe! I'm back home in Tennessee now and plan to attempt to copy it, but having the authentic recipe to serve to friends when we entertain would be over the top! The atmosphere was very nice and there were a lot of different beers, which was great! And the store had a nice atmosphere and the bathroom was clean, so I really liked it! It was a store near my accommodation, and I want to go there again before I go back to Korea!
