“The best service I ever received anywhere. My first time here and I was literally speechless after receiving such an ABOVE AND BEYOND service by the young owner. We, a party of eight, went in 30 minutes before their closing time and yet we were greeted with a big smile and warm welcome. He gave us the time to settle down and go through the menus. Since it was already late, we skipped the appetizer part to save them time. But to our surprise the owner brought us two different appetizers and drinks. After the main courses arrived, we loved the "Crying Tiger' and wanted more but because of the time issue, we didn't want to order again. The owner must have overheard our conversation and brought us another order of "Crying Tiger'" which left us all speechless. He not only stopped at that, we had two kids with us, he brought them French fries. At this point we didn't even know what to think!!! He brought all those additional foods ( 2 appetizers, Crying Tiger' and fries) all at no cost to us. That's what I call a Royal Treatment!!! Now as far as the food we ordered, Chicken with mint leaf, chicken with string beans, beef with eggplant, mixed fried rice, Pad Thai, Crying tiger, they were all EXCEPTIONAL!!! The restaurant itself is not very big in size but they have far better quality and tasty food than many Thai restaurants I visited to grab a bite in Los Angeles or other places. They serve all Halal meat which is a plus for my community. If you're in the vicinity please try them. I am positive that you won't be disappointed. I wish the owner and his crews all the best. “Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“

The head chef was not in town that day so the sous was serving us. The best dishes were the ama ebi, tuna tartare, and ceviche! All of the staff was very kind tooUnfortunately one of the items was substituted with bolognese which was disappointing (supposed to be uni pasta). And the fish and chips (amaida, matsutake) and crab fried rice was not impressive for this price point. “Compared to a few years back this street food spot has gained a few more food stalls to neighbor it. There is now a bbq meet place, a salad and fresh foods place and a dessert one. I got three plates, one pad Thai, one pork fried rice and one of their new ground pork with egg dish. Pad Thai is good as always, fried rice was lacking flavor as before but they have seasoning for you to use. Their ground pork with egg was so good but holy crap it was spicy. It did have a good spice though I recommend it.“

“I have tried almost every Thai restaurant in the area in an attempt to find the best curry. Today I chose takeout for my first visit to Sri Siam Cafe. You'll be glad to know the place is tidy which is a plus (I usually order takeout to avoid unsightly decor so it doesn't cloud my judgement.) Upon entering, I was greeted by a server and cashier but I already know what I wanted after seeing review photos on yelp. I ordered the Green Curry/Soft Shell Crab dish and a side of rice. My jaw dropped at the $30 price point but I had already made up my mind. I could have easily switched it to the curry w/crispy pork for far less. My initial reaction opening my bag was that the curry serving was not big enough and I had my fingers crossed that there were at LEAST 2 crabs in the lunch size box so I wouldn't have to throw a food fit! To my surprise the box was PACKED with crispy crab pieces! I already had about 5 pieces before i took the picture and the curry tub was full. Super tasty seasoning on the meat too! Just wish I had some vinegar dipping sauce. 5/5 would come back!“

“Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“

The satay chicken appetizer was the best one we ever had. You gotta try it. The vegetarian papaya salad was so good with just the right level of hotness we asked for and the chow menu with tofu was so delicious we licked it off the plate. Authentic thai cuisine at very reasonable prices.Have eaten for a couple decades in Thai Town but only went to Siam Sunset a few years ago. This was the first place I've ever eaten pad kra pao & it has become my favorite Thai dish! And Siam easily makes it the best!Only knock is there's no on site parking, but street parking is usually not too tough depending on the day. Still it's worth the walk.Would give it six stars if it were possible.“

“The mango sticky rice here is so good! The mangos were really fresh and there were plenty of slices that came with the dish. The crispy bits on top are also an unexpected yet delicious addition and pair well with the sticky rice and sauce. “It was my first time dining at Thai Central. It is a gem in East Hollywood for a Thai food. The food is very tasty. We ordered a few things, Kao Clook Ka phi, Boat noodle, and Papaya salad - the was delicious. And awesome service - from getting our order in and getting the food from the kitchen to our table. I like the cleanliness of the restaurant. We dropped the lid of something on the floor , and the server took the lid from us, he cleaned it and brought it back - impressive. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating.We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!“

“I came to this place on a Thursday afternoon and let me tell you: I am a huge enthusiast of Thai food but it gets harder and harder by the day to pick up one spot that is above all of the others. This place is a strong contender for that first place, though: it has it all, reasonable prices, great food, amazing service and chill ambiance. The server was a woman with short hair and glasses who truly went above and beyond for us (I should have asked for her name but I forgot). Everything, including non-traditional items like fried shrimp cake was just cooked to perfection. It all came out quickly and piping hot. Parking was fantastic too. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . I've been to many places that claim spicy, but this one is legit.I went during the lunch special hour, which I believe runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lunch special includes your choice of soup or salad, I chose the soup which was a fried egg soup, It was very delicious. My main course was the chicken pad Thai, and it was very tasty. You could actually taste and see the color of the sauce they use, the noodles were a dark brown. The chicken itself was tender, but, I believe they use chicken breast which runs a little on the dry side, but the amount of sauce they use makes up for it. I also ordered the Thai milk team, and it was divine. The portions were great, no complaints, this is definitely a deal. I will be returning to try other dishes.The staff were very friendly, and right away you notice that they are making an effort to be friendly with their clients. The waiter asked if this was my first time, which lets me know that they make an effort to remember their customers. Both waiters were very attentive, and even though they were somewhat busy, they ensured to follow up with me. I was so full after my meal, I did not have any room for dessert. “Just ordered from here for the first time! The area seemed a little sketchy - but they have their own parking lot (it's a ghost kitchen) and the pickup was fairly easy! The staff working there was soooo nice and kind. And the most important part: the food was really freaking good. Probably the best Tom yum soup I've had in a long time. SO MUCH FLAVOR. “Ordered DoorDash via pick up. Got the Drunken Noodles medium spicy and a Thai Iced Tea. Food was ready within 10 mins and taste was excellent. Meat was tender and dish was seasoned perfectly. One of the best drunken noodles I’ve had from any Thai spot. This place gives you a lot of food for reasonable prices. This will be one of my go to Thai spots from now on.“
