“Had a delightful Friday night indulging in fine dining with my family. The venue was cozy and pleasantly uncrowded, with excellent service. The set menu provided a worry-free experience, and I particularly enjoyed the tasty scallops and fusion flavors of the cauliflowers. Despite not being a fan of chocolate cake, I was pleasantly surprised by its deliciousness!“
“The toppings/sides are pretty limited but the quality of the fish (actually fresh, not just in the title) is excellent. I have another poke place that is very good and has great options (many different sides and lots of sauce choices) to pick, but Aloha Fresh is not that kind of place. This is where you come when you care about the quality and taste of the fish more than anything else. Which I do. It's a drive for us, but it's worth it. A couple notes: no brown rice, but they have black rice. They have non-fish options (chicken, as well as shellfish options). They have sizing options (standard is 2 scoops of fish but there is a 1 scoop option and you can add more fish paying by the pound). When you pick your fish option, they're already marinated; you do not pick a sauce to mix in with everything. They do not have dine in options (no tables at all inside or outside) but there is a bench outside.“
“Great place, great food, and great service. I work at Lunardi's, I came to get lunch for myself and my coworkers during the week. I ordered the Hawaiian player and Katsu chicken, they were an awesome portion. Food was great!!! We will definitely come nack!!. Promote your business with your local neighborly businesses.“
“First time to a Hukilau since the Palo Alto & SF restaurants closed. There's a bar at the front of thea long hallway to the dining area. Food was as good as I remember it was but the atmosphere in the dining area wasn't as good as it was at the other restaurants. I'd say the lighting made it feel like an old coffee shop“
“Stopped by for a later lunch on our way to the Pumpkin Patch! Love that all the toppings and sides are included in the price! The fish options are all really good. Really liked the spicy versions of the fish too! They were generous with the portions! I probably could have made it a second meal! So glad we got to try it out and will be coming back again!“
“Winston Churchill apparently once said something along the lines that Russia was a "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." That's kind of what I feel about this restaurant. Why does it serve a mixture of Hawaiian, Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Korean fast food? Why is it built into the side of a Home Depot? Why are there motivational gym-style quotations and writings on the wall? Perhaps I will never know the answer to these mysteries, but nevertheless, I greatly enjoy eating here and will continue to do so.To quickly state it, yeah, it's a restaurant built into the side of a Home Depot, but there's roofing and seating (and fake grass as a floor?), which are basically perfectly functional at all times. The slightly open nature of the area actually means it doesn't get too hot - so it actually works pretty well as a restaurant. The food selection is as I mentioned, quite varied. I've had the Loco Moco, Bulgogi, Hot Dog, and Philly Cheesesteak. All of them came out very quickly, cheaply (very rare in the Bay Area!!) and were as tasty as you would expect all of these foods to be. On the other hand, you're pretty much getting what you order - no surprises (and you wouldn't really expect a surprise). Macaroni from the Hawaiian plates always goes great with the rice - and the portion sizes for any of the plates are quite large!Seems very popular among people working at or around Home Depot for their breakfast and lunch - and I can understand why! Cheap, fast, convenient, and tasty! I honestly haven't eaten like this very often since moving up from Southern California - and it's delightful that I can eat like this again. Heavily recommended if you want a cheap, fast lunch in a place that generally doesn't have many cheap, fast lunch options.“
“Only 2 items were vegetarian. We order bothThe most I liked was vegetarian ramen (replacement of vegetables are not an option). 2nd item was vegetable tempura and for me was a bit oily. But I’ll definitely go there one more time for their Ramen.Vegetarian options: 1. vegetarian ramen (replacement of vegetables are not an option).2. vegetable tempura (little oily)“
“Here's what I ordered. See picture. I ordered to go through the app. (It is quite detailed for example, if you forget a required item, it will not allow you to complete your order, so be thorough.)My Order consisted of a: Medium Build Your Own (3 Scoop Bowl) /// Ill finish this later. ///“
“A decent value for a lot of food. Asking for everything on top of the fish actually works; all the ingredients work together.Parking: Use the parking garage in Bryant, then cut through the alleyway straight to Ava's market. The poke bar is inside Ava's.“
“Came here on a rowdy night during a bar crawl. I've passed by this spot a lot on nights out downtown but it always looked crowded, loud, and a bit musty. Luckily it was emptier on the Friday that my friends and I came in. They had deals on their mango daiquiris (?) which weren't too thin but also not too strong. The staff was friendly when we ordered. There was decent space for a dance floor and the music was fine for Bay Area hip hop vibes. All in all I think it was a worthwhile bar crawl stop with space to dance and drinkable drinks but I wouldn't fight tooth and nail to wait in a line for it. Not sure if there's themed nights but it does seem to be a downtown favorite for some!“
“This place hit all the attributes for an amazing quick lunch spot. The saff was friendly. Being my 1st time visiting the menu was in front of me which made it easy to make my decisions quickly. Over all very satisfying. Would definitely visit again and soon!“
“Their server looks pretty mean Everytime I go. Well, besides their facial expression, their service are ok (Great). Their poke bowl is great but you gotta try their icecream. My fav is the egg yolk ice cream, it give u a little salty taste along with the milkish ice cream.“
“Really nice little poke place. Worker was extremely nice and helpful in explaining whatever questions I had. $15 for 3 scoops is a really good steal compared to other places I've frequented which cost more and/or had limited topping selections for their price. Will come again if I'm ever craving poke !“
“This junk food junkie loved my first ever bowl. And it was vegan and gluten free so I can't even believe how awesome it was. I ordered the pineapple teriyaki cauliflower bowl with no bell peppers and added mushrooms instead and absolutely everything was delicious! I ordered it served with the sesame scallion rice and I can't even believe how much I loved that rice!It was a really big portion and totally filled me up. I couldn't even finish the sweet potato salad, which was also really good. I thought I would be hungry because there was no meat in my meal but nope. Totally happy and ready for a nap. Wish my boss would let me take one LOL!I found them through GrubHub and the meal arrived nice and warm. I will definitely be ordering Lulu bowls again!“
“The food was amazing! We ordered the chicken katsu and the BBQ mix. Everything was so flavorful and very generous portions. The macaroni salad was hands down one of the best I've had. If they have it, try out the pinapple cream soda.“
“Food here is delicious and you get large portions for the price. Usually takeout but recently came with 6 other people for lunch. Courteous staff and prepared food in timely manner. My go to place for chicken katsu plate, bowl, or musubi. Katsu sauce is not my thing so when I ask them to leave it out they always get it right. Wish the containers were compostable though.“
“L and L is a consistently delicious Hawaiian bbq chain! Their prices are very good, especially for the huge amount of food you get. My favorite are the chicken Katsu plate and bbq short rib plate. The food comes out so quickly and consistently! Will definitely be returning for yummy takeout Hawaiian bbq.“
“Our go-to poke place. We like the quality of the fish and the general variety in sauces and complements. My recommendation is to go and order in person instead of ordering through a delivery app. You want to make sure you are getting the correct amount of ingredients in your bowl.Only bummer is they keep increasing prices where today a bowl is over 20 dollars. A bit steep.“
“I had a craving for a lunch plate so we decided to go to Ohana Hawaiian BBQ.We ordered #4-Hawaiian BBQ chicken and fried shrimp. The chicken was grilled perfectly and the shrimp was crispy and onolicious. Also, the mac salad was great too. It didn't have too much mayo...wish i had more scoops. ?“
“I had Hawaiian BBQ before but first time at Ono. Generally, I had a good experience and I'm open to come back.I got- A plate of Hawaiian BBQ mix (which is a mix of beef, pork and chicken). It comes with rice & macaroni salad. It's pretty good. I like the flavors of all the meat. I like pork most, then chicken then beef. I like cabbage too but I wish it has less oil.- A side of salad: I like the dressing that comes with the salad, helps balance the meal.- Young coconut: decent. You can't use the plastic spoon to scoop out the meat but if you go home and use a silver spoon, you can. It looks thick but it's surprisingly not hard. It's probably still better if it's a little bit thinner though. My friend got the plate with seafood mix which came with fried shrimps, fried white fish and chicken. I tried it and the plate I got was better.Service was good. The receptionist was friendly and willing to answer all of my questions.“
“Love this place. They have 2 sizes here. Large and Regular. You get like 5 scoops of fish options with a large and 3 for the regular. The food ALWAYS tastes fresh here. My favorite is their signature poke. ?It is cafeteria typ of service. You point and select your options or they have a menu you can choose from. No fountain drink self serve machine but they do have three types of juices they have daily and a mini drink bar selection.Bathroom inside and some seating inside as well as out. They have a nice pitcher of water for anyone, free of charge. Parking is in the parking garage and is located next to McDonalds. This place is a bit pricey but worth it. My kid loves coming here.“
“My first time eating at Poki Bowl. It is very good. The rice is different from other poke places. I door dashed from here and it is very much worth it and you can go in-store to get your poke too. It is very quick and easy. I was surprised when I door dashed the avocado had no extra charge. Hopefully, going there avocado won't be charged. I will come here again. I can't stop thinking about how good the rice is. It just hits the spot. You have to stop by for an amazing poke!!!!“
