“Honestly, I’ve driven past this place so many times and never noticed it until we stopped to shop at Super A next door. It’s a super unassuming, small bakery, but it’s clearly a local favorite because it was pretty busy when we walked in!

They specialize in sponge cakes, and the shelves are fully stocked with all different kinds. We tried a few things, but the standout was definitely the Grenade Cake. It’s got this great crispy top that gives it a nice texture which is definitely unique.

We also picked up an ube sponge cake. It was incredibly fluffy and light, and the flavor was spot on. They have a bunch of different flavors to choose from if ube isn't your thing.

The service was friendly and efficient, too. Definitely a solid little hidden gem in Temple City if you're looking for fresh, airy cakes that aren't overly sweet!“

“I’ve been coming here for a little while now and it is absolutely delicious, I discovered this place by accident on my way to work one day and I was hooked on the first bite of that matcha croissant, oh my goodness let me tell you I thought how could something that looks simple and beautiful be this delicious from then on every time I get a chance I come by for some pastries for myself or for my coworkers and they all agree that these pastries are a delicious delight , just tried there turkey sandwich as well the flavor of that sandwich was absolutely amazing, definitely have found a new little place to go by myself or with friends“

“Paul is very nice and made me feel so welcomed! He remembered me even though I've only been there once. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations. If I recall correctly, he said that the strawberry cake ball, coffee cake, and a few others were popular picks. There is only outdoor sidewalk seating (a total of 3 small tables with 2 seats each). The interior is tiny, and it carries the feel of a quick in-and-out pickup store. It's also right across the street from Pasadena's Central Park if you're looking for a stroll while you eat. It's very transit-accessible. It's a 5 minute walk from the A line Del Mar station. death by chocolate cookie ($3.85) - It's just a typical double chocolate cookie! It's a little gritty and dry (maybe it's gluten free?) but still delicious nonetheless. coffee cake ($5.88) - sweet, with a flavor of cinnamon (not in an overpowering way). If you enjoy coffee cake, definitely get this, as vegan coffee cake is a rarity in Pasadena and LA. ice cream sandwich ($9.25) - honestly, i think this was a little too sweet for me. The ice cream itself was plain vanilla soft serve, but when sandwiched by two entire chocolate chip cookies, I think the sweetness can be overpowering. Keep in mind that it also melts very fast (since it has the consistency of soft serve) and this makes it hard to keep the whole sandwich in shape. If you do not plan to eat it right away, I would not recommend getting this as it'll melt in a mere minute.“

We were inside eyeing the pastries through the display in about 20 minutes. My favorite was the blueberry cheesecake crumble danish! The cream cheese was not overpowering and all the flavors were well balanced! The earl grey morning bun also a top contender with a strong enough earl grey flavor that was delectably enveloped in the flaky pastry. Cinnamon roll croissant was not too sweet and the center was the best bite! The french onion soup danish was good and tasted even better when warmed up at home. They should offer that option in store because it makes all the difference! Personally, as an almond croissant lover, I found the filling to be a little too sweet and leaned heavily on an almond extract flavor/aroma. All in all, pastries are of quality and I would return for more!“

“I love supporting small businesses. It is the spot when I crave for cheese cake or need pick it up for potlucks and parties. I love the Japanese Iced cheesecake . It's light, not too sweet Percy texture and so delicious. They have the original , matcha , strawberry and Oreo flavors. You can either one flavor or a set of all 4.

The taro snowflakes is a must try, creamy taro sponge cake made with real taro.

This shop is clean, cutesy and is family owned and I was helped by the owner's mom, she's super nice lady, the owner makes all the cakes.

They take cash, Venmo and Zelle as payment options.“

“I can’t say enough great things! I went out on a limb and called Valentine Sweets. I live in New York, however my brother lives in Pasadena! I was doing a gender reveal for my friends and family in New York and wanted my brother to be included. I called early in the morning and spoke to the decorator Tatiana. I explained I needed one single custom gender reveal cupcake and she had no issues with the request or making it happen! A simple cute vanilla cupcake. Decorated with blue and pink sprinkles. And surprise pink frosting in the middle! She had the cupcake done within a couple hours for my brother to pick up! She had great communication and texted me when it was ready. Besides the fact that it was adorable,

“Honestly, it's Baskin Robbins. You really can't go wrong. I've seen some of the 1 and 2 star reviews, and I just don't agree with them at all. I've been here plenty of times, and they've never disappointed me. The customer service has always been really good. The staff actually takes the time to help you with your order instead of rushing you. They also recently remodeled the place, so everything looks clean and updated. If you haven't been here in a while, or at all, I'd definitely recommend stopping by and checking it out for yourself.“

“It's In n Out. What more is there to say? It's the closest location to my place. I guess they could cook their fries a bit better. But as always. Great food quality. The only downside to this location is that the parking suck, and when it gets busy. Forget getting in. The lot is so small that the car line to get in is ridiculously long and sometimes blocks traffic.“

“I went into this location looking for a cake for my daughter’s birthday. It was very last minute and they didn’t have the cake she wanted. David went above and beyond! He took my number, made some calls, and called me within an hour to confirm my daughter will have her cake for her birthday. Great service! Thank you.“

“Disappointed to say the least the ice cream wasn’t made properly, the employee was least bothered to even ask what I wanted. It felt like so much pressure to just ask for a sample and decide if I wanted that, the loud music made it so hard to hear the person and for the person to actually even listen. Wanted to take it to go but wasn’t even asked if I wanted that and felt forever to ask for a lid. Not to mention the ice cream literally has no toppings except the m&ms paid more than $10 to get nothing but a bad tasting ice cream.
Edit: The manager followed up and was kind enough understanding the situation and offered to make the ice cream and make it right. That was really sweet and I appreciate that since I got the ice cream after a few days from my initial visit and she remembered me, also gave me the sample for churro ice cream!! Made my experience better“

“Ordered a cake from here because wanted a custom cake. Anyone can foot bask in robins and get a more generic if they wanted. But I wanted superb custom cake and cold stones did not disappoint us. I ordered a 6 inch with devil cake, sweat cream icecream with pecans, fudge and chocolate truffles. The frosting was fluffy pink with chocolate truffles. Absolutely one of the best cakes ever had. My sister and friends for her birthday all said it was such an awesome cake. Thank you Cold Stines for the cake and the memories“
