I have come to this place at least once a month for the past year and I truly love the service and the ambience and the quality of the food. For the life of me I can not understand how anyone is claiming the service was bad, and I would definitely caution anyone in believing any of these reviews. My husband is a huge mezcal fan and asked if there was a drink the bartender could make and sure enough they made the most spectacular drink! We loved the food and drinks so much we stopped in after our long hike from Angel Island. I ordered the same mezcal drink as my husband did the night before. G was just an amazing bartender and helped us out with all the different types of mezcal and what characteristics they bring to the table. Marco even recognized us and said you guys are back. I have been telling everyone about your amazing restaurant and not just the quality of food but just the atmosphere and experience we had with the staff. They are all welcoming and make you feel like family.”

“We came in for lunch on a Thursday afternoon and we’re treated to the most delicious Chimay Premier Red Ale, a magnificent warm, lamb and bacon sandwich with home made French Fries presented in a lovely cone, and of course delicious moules frites. The highlight of our meal, however, was our delightful waitress, Tracy, who sprinkled lovely suggestions and made our leisurely luncheon a pleasure. Well prepared food, a welcoming ambiance and gracious welcome by the staff. 5/5”

“An absolute SF classic that lives up to the hype! The English cut prime rib was perfectly aged, tender, and juicy, spun tableside from the silver dome cart—pure theater. Loved the Yorkshire pudding, creamed spinach, and that massive baked potato. Cocktails are strong and old-school. The retro vibe with white tablecloths feels like stepping back in time. Reservations essential, but it's worth it for a special occasion meat-lover's feast.”

The toasted carne asada burrito was outstanding, and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t usually go for burritos. I really liked that it didn’t include rice. The meat was flavourful and everything tasted incredibly fresh.”
