“Best food and drinks all weekend long. Marco was just an amazing individual. He made our anniversary even more special. My husband is a huge mezcal fan and asked if there was a drink the bartender could make and sure enough they made the most spectacular drink! We loved the food and drinks so much we stopped in after our long hike from Angel Island. I ordered the same mezcal drink as my husband did the night before. G was just an amazing bartender and helped us out with all the different types of mezcal and what characteristics they bring to the table. Marco even recognized us and said you guys are back. I have been telling everyone about your amazing restaurant and not just the quality of food but just the atmosphere and experience we had with the staff. They are all welcoming and make you feel like family.“

“Liholiho is a fantastic restaurant! The space is modern and beautifully designed, with an open kitchen where you can watch everything being prepared, which adds a lot of energy and transparency to the dining experience.

The service was very friendly, attentive, and quick. The cocktails were excellent, and even the non-alcoholic one I ordered was made with care and tasted great.

The food was outstanding. The bun with beef tongue was extraordinary, the tuna tartare and ceviche were perfectly balanced and fresh, and the shrimps with crispy rice were especially memorable. All dishes showed creativity, originality, and were prepared with high quality ingredients.

For three people, including first and main courses, drinks, and one dessert, the bill came to $260, which I found fair for this level of quality. The only minus point is that the restaurant does not offer coffee, which would have been a nice way to finish the meal.

Overall, I really enjoyed everything at Liholiho. Highly recommended, and I hope I will get to return again!“

Pulled pork was also good although it could’ve used more sauce it was still yummy. Even though the side salad had only one ingredient (lettuce) it was absolutely delicious with a tasty dressing. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice atmosphere with a bit of view of the bay. We found a gem in SF and will definitely come back. 👍👍“

The small bites were perfect to get you in mood the for wonderful bigger plates. The vegetarian substitutions could have been a little more inspired, but still tasty.

I agree with decor. It is very minimalist, which is unexpected for find dining.

“Where do I begin… this allowed me to explore what “Californian cuisine” means. The amuse bouches were all fantastic from the tuna bite to the duck liver stoop waffle, each was unique and flavourful. The uni toast is a must try. Holy the uni melted in your mouth and the brown butter of the toast enhances the sweetness of the uni while the sour dough adds texture and crunch to the melty uni. I wish I could eat more than one of those. First time trying rabbit: kinda tastes like chicken. The antelope was very tender but just doesn’t have any flavour in the sense that it doesn’t taste like chicken or beef. The truffle croissant though omg. So crispy on the outside and so soft and aromatic with the truffle filling. First time trying baked Alaska, don’t love the marshmallow thing but that’s personal. The last walnut cake was memorable as well: buttery, crunchy, and cakey paired with buckwheat tea which diffuses some of the richness from the butter. We also got a canele to take home (I already ate it it was delicious) *for detailed dining experience stay tuned on @mishdiary_“

“Key Klub is a bit tucked away, but absolutely worth the short walk or taxi—especially if you’re after a lively, good-vibes-only kind of night. It’s part of the same crew behind Bodega in North Beach (also great), but this spot leans a little rowdier—in the best way.

Expect a cool, chatty, very San Francisco crowd where everyone somehow looks like they’ve walked out of a magazine shoot.

Mostly wine and beer on offer, plus some top-notch nibbles. Staff are fun, prices are decent, and the whole place just hums with great energy. Strongly recommended for a buzzy evening out.“

“I recently celebrated my birthday at Kiln SF, and it was truly unforgettable. We indulged in their 20-course tasting menu, which was a culinary journey from start to finish. Each course was beautifully presented, thoughtfully explained, and absolutely delicious; an experience that went far beyond just a meal.

What really stood out was the level of detail and personalization. At the end of the evening, the staff surprised me with a Polaroid photo of my husband and I, and a customized menu with our name’s and celebration printed on it. It felt so special and added such a personal touch to the celebration.

The atmosphere was intimate yet lively, with Kendrick Lamar, Mac Miller, Kid Cudi, and similar artists playing softly in the background, creating such a cool and personal vibe that elevated the entire evening. The service was impeccable, and every bite showcased the creativity and passion of the kitchen. Kiln SF exceeded all expectations and made my birthday feel incredibly memorable.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for an extraordinary dining experience in San Francisco!

“I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I am a business owner a few doors down and I wandered in with a friend after work one night about a month ago. We were met with such incredible warmth from the staff and the environment itself, even without a reservation. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Josh, only to find out later that he is the owner. He made excellent recommendations on everything from our drinks to dessert. The bar didn’t feel isolated from the rest of the restaurant and guests, but rather was lively hub frequented by kitchen and serving staff and warmed by a smoldering wood fire. The coziest. We swooned for the poke appetizer, complete with house-made toasted, but not crisp, blue corn tortillas. The pork shoulder tacos—also to die for. I have to say though, that the star on the sidelines was the beans. I honestly didn’t know I could feel this way about beans…but I digress. Josh bounced around from table to table all night, never letting a single ball drop, making every guest feel like *his* guest. A pot de crème sealed the evening in perfect bliss. I’m back a month later with the same friend, eating different and somehow even more incredible entrees: ribeye, halibut and a rhubarb crisp for dessert. I scarcely ever take the time to write a review as I prefer to vote with my $ and my feet, but I simply couldn’t eat here again without taking the time to sing it’s praises. Eat here.“

“The staff was friendly and attentive and we were greeted by our server immediately and had our cocktails in minutes. My friend had a burger that he said was excellent and I had the kale salad with chicken that was surprisingly great. The cocktails were very good and overall had an enjoyable and relaxed evening. The decor is upscale but the overall vibe is casual which was perfect after a day of sightseeing. I would visit again.“
