“I think 5.2 Patio is a great boba shop and actually has better prices than other local boba shops. The drinks are always consistent and always taste amazing. The boba is nice and fresh, and the shop is clean all the time. Thank you Sophia for being very kind and patient. She was very generous and helped me choose a drink even when I was having a hard time doing so. She is very good at making drinks, and I enjoy the customer service here!“

“What an absolute gem of a find! I visited for the first time today—and to my absolute delight, just five minutes from my home, I found a real maritozzo con panna that transported me straight back to Rome! You have no idea how happy this made me.
If I could, I’d give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! If I may humbly offer one tiny, respectful suggestion from a passionate Roman heart: try making the cream (la panna) completely unsweetened. In Rome, we keep the whipped cream unsweetened because the light dusting of powdered sugar on top and the soft, sweet brioche bun already provide the perfect amount of sweetness.
At first glance, unsweetened cream might feel like it's missing something, but I promise you, it creates such a delicious balance that people will end up ordering two! Back home, I can easily polish off two in one sitting, whereas here I was full after one just from the extra sugar rush. (And you will save money on the sugar saved !)

The food portions are a little lackluster but the options are expensive. Get water and your drink for there are too few servers to attend to timely refills. This is the type of place you would expect to have carafes of juice and personal pots of coffee but nah, cant be bothered. Cocktails are whats on one of the two menus, so that accounts for part of the noise, too.“

“This is a fun coffee place, particularly for music photographers like me. The owner is the guitar player of System of a Down, and the place is packed with photography. Expect excellent coffee, a limited range of delicious food and don't forget to check out the patio in the back. As I would prefer this place over any Starbucks, I give this place "only" four to of five - and not for quality/ service/ ambiance reasons: it is mandatory in my ranking scheme that I must be willing to do a 30+ min detour just to go here - and even though I really liked the place: this would be too much to ask for as I simply, at my age, prefer places where they serve me.“

“Grade B+ (87): Chicken Caesar wrap what's pretty good, swedish pancakes was okay but not super, the egg sandwich was just average, the creme brulee French toast what's good, croque Monsieur was not very good damn was too thick and something like Black Forest ham which is not what you're supposed to have in a Croque Monsieur. It was a pretty average brunch, the place is nice the people are nice. I would get the chicken Caesar wrap again.“

We ordered the Belgian waffle and unfortunately it came out hard and cold. If they fixed this and made the waffle a little softer and served it warm I would change the review to 5 stars. The coffee was really good. I got the Iced Caramel Latte with whole milk and I enjoyed it. The location is really nice. Very attentive staff. Love the decor. They got inside and outside seating. “We have been coming here for years. Their boba drinks are delicious. They recently had a change in ownership and I’m happy to say they are keeping to their great standards. Customer service is also AMAZING and Natalia is the best. When we place a phone order, she asks for our eta to time making the drink so we don’t end up with a melted, watered down drink. I hope the owner of the shop reads this review and recognizes her great work. It’s those small steps that make a spot special. Please go and support a local business.“

“I'm not sure why this now opens at 10am. That is going to basically ensure that everyone en route to work won't be able to stop in. I just came at 9am and there were three of us who had to turn around and leave. I hope this is a temporary thing.“

“This eatery is a quaint jewel among others. The staff greets you with a warm and welcoming smile, and they are kind, caring and attentive. The food is delicious and tastefully presented and we keep returning to enjoy another meal.“

“Been coming here for years and their menu has been great. Known for their Brisket Burritos, Fairfax egg sandwich and that Salmon Eggs Benedict on weekends that I have yet to find another establishment or restaurant with such a mouth watering hollandaise sauce. Regarding their coffee, its wonderful. Agreed their to go cups are a bit in the small size versus other coffee shops, but at least the coffee you get will leave you with a satisfying morning smile. One last good thing I appreciate are the familiar employees that have been there for years. Consistency in every aspect is found here.

But its not all perfect. I understand dogs are welcome, and I love dogs, its the owners that come in and start blocking the path to get to the order counter, who start conversations with other dog owners who create a barrier. Especially for those with an entitled mentality who will hardly to not budge to let you pass. This effects the experience to others, so maybe Commissary can continue to allow our friendly dogs to be apart of the atmosphere, but add and enforce some common sense rules for the experience of others and safety.
