“I had heard about this place from friends, so I decided to head down and check it out. I got caught in traffic so when I got there, the sign in the door said closed. However, one of the owners saw me staring forlornly at his window and opened the door to wave me in. I walked out with a huge bag of goodies. Everything I took home was fantastic! I'm now a regular customer. I definitely recommend Gio's for their food and for the friendly way they treat their customers!“

“Another great name, for this place would be "Murder, She Wrote" Café. Think of it is the kind of cozy place you can tuck into delicious coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, and quiche, while enjoying the murmur of nearby tables, surrounded indoors by books and outdoors by flowering trees. The noise level is low, inversely correlating with the average age demographic. Servers are friendly, generous and kind, if not exactly the fastest. Small interior means reservations can be helpful, particularly in poor weather. Easy parking in a small parking lot behind and on the street in front. Highly recommend if you're looking for a lovely, relaxed lunch. Great for after Descanso.“

“Great little independent restaurant. The world needs more unique places like this. If only people could tear themselves away from McDonald's and other gross corporate dumps and try something new once in a while.The service was very good. Yeah, they were in the back working when I came in, but they came out right away, so I can't see why anyone would feel the need to complain about that.They were out of a couple menu items this last visit, like their açaí, but it's all good because they have a varied menu and good prices. The interior is decorated with custom art pieces. Just go, ok?Vegetarian options: Açaí and all that implies... several rolls are meatless (avocado, daikon, and so on).Dietary restrictions: Easy for a gluten free person to eat here.Parking: Tons of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking very nearby. “Its a beautiful cosy place, takes you back in time. The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though).We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.“

“AMAZING Expect waiting outside, party of 2 was 20-25 min Saturday afternoon and cannot call in to be added to it. Everything on the menu is great but the French toast, pork belly fried rice, and strawberry tea were the best. Limited seating and one restroom but highly recommend.“

“Ooooooooweeeee... man, this place is awesome and delicious. Came here before all the Instagram and TikTok hype so there wasn't too much of a long line, but now the lines are too long!! However, I still recommend. Their chocolate croissants are sooooo good. For those who want savory, I recommend the Pesto? pastry. A little tip for the pastries at CAR, eat it right away. As time passes, the crunchiness of the pastry does decrease.“

“Delicious!!!!! All in house, quality ingredients, and no short cuts. The process and pride in the baking shows up in the food. The pasties are high quality, and very tasty. They use whole food ingredients; no extracts or artificial flavors. The staff is amazing, and makes you feel like part of the family. We grabbed a couple pasties, and sat in their lovely (kid and dog friendly) porch. Amazing views!! The owner came out a few minutes after we finished to ask how everything was, which pastry we enjoyed most, and catch up generally. We had a lovely conversation, and really loved our experience. We will be back each week!! We love it. “Service was fantastic and the wait wasn't too long at all!! I got the chopped cheese sandwich, fries, & the black sesame oat milk espresso beverage. Chopped cheese - this was delicious!! The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! I think I'd only get the chopped cheese again if I was in a real want for a fast food cheeseburger feeling.“
