“It was like staying in Bedrock, I expected Fred Flintstone to pop his head over the rocks at any moment. It's a truly unique campground. It can get very windy and the mice are fast if your not paying attention and leave something out... even for a few minutes.

Even our 17yo dog did some exploring, something the old guy hasn't done in awhile.”

“I can absolutely say with confidence this is the BEST boba shop we have ever been to. Not only is the tea phenomenal, they also have the BEST coffee we have ever had. Imported too!! Their house and Thai coffee is insane. The Thai teas are insane. Both of them. The jasmine tea is insane. We've been to many many shops in different cities, and they truly cannot compare to the 10/10 ratings we give across the board to this place. Drinks 10/10. The owner 10/10. Dude truly has a passion for tea, coffee, and just making people happy by making great drinks. This place is just too good for one location in a small town. We are genuinely upset we are going back home cause we are 3 hours away, but we would be willing to drive out here just to come back. Please open a shop in San Diego ♡ Much love from Oceanside/Vista!!!”

“Our first time in couldn't have been better! Our service was phenomenal and everyone was so friendly. I have the Bacon Ranch Chicken sandwich and french fries, both were so tast. It was a great place to relax and unwind. There even appeared to be a BBQ truck on site too, I would love to know the times of that to try it. The icing on the cake was that we were able to eat on the patio with our pup, our amazing waitress offered him water and even a puppy patty. Even if you don't drink, you won't regret stopping by this place for a bite to eat! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5”

The lady on the counter was very sweet and even gave us tastes of the horchata. Its was delicious.

A small mismatch in orders happened but the lady made sure we got the correct order free of charge.
I've never met anyone more deserving for a Tip even though the tipping system doesn't make sense in the US.

“Awesome lunch at Twentynine palms. Beer was good and the food excellent. I had the brisket hot dog chili cheese sandwich, wow! My wife had the portobello 5 guys sandwich and it was outstanding too. Friendly staff. Highly recommend. Nice shaded patio.”

“Absolutely the best barbecue. We drive 1.5 hours to this great place. My husband has been coming here for 50 years and never been disappointed. I start with Jalapeños and go on from there. Steaks are cut on site and chicken dishes are great as is the salmon.”

We came here after getting an attitude from the staff at the restaurant at the 29 Palms inn. What a refreshing change.
Friendly staff, quick service and excellent basic food.
Dining area was clean, neat and quiet. Thank you for the nice dinner.”

“Always friendly here. I’ve never had a roll I disliked. Ramen is also pretty good. I usually come back for both when I want something in 29 out of the norm. Service can sometimes take a while due to staff shortage and the restroom has always had a funky smell. I wouldn’t recommend the table closest to restroom. Will come back !”

“The food is decent but overpriced and every once in a while I have been served bad food. E.g, I had the buffalo chicken salad and one of the chicken strips was too tough to eat and discolored. The other strip was fine and my friend’s buffalo chicken wrap was also fine. The daily specials are also pretty good and it doesn’t usually take too long to get your food. If you’re around, it’s a good place to check out.”

“Visiting from out of town and thought I’d try this place. It was the best soul food I’ve ever had. I placed an online order and the owner called me directly to help find a substitute for an item they ran out of. I order a lot of takeout and that’s the best customer service experience I’ve heard of. Im a big fan of hush puppies and these are now my favorite. I’d also recommend the tilapia, it was delicious.”

I had such a great experience at this Subway tonight that I wanted to be sure it got noticed.

Before I even arrived, I was really frustrated with the website. It kept saying my card was expired, even after I updated it. I deleted the card and re-added it multiple times, and it still said it was expired. After fighting with the website for a while, I finally decided to give up and just go into the store. I am so glad I did.

When I walked in, the store was not very busy. Caitlyn was already in the middle of making another sandwich, but she immediately greeted me. I explained what had happened with the website, and instead of brushing it off, she responded with genuine kindness and empathy. That alone made a big difference in my mood.

I placed my order, and Caitlyn was incredibly efficient and focused. She smoothly kept working on the sandwich she had already started while quickly getting my order going too. She really seemed to know exactly what she was doing. I also have a pretty complicated and, honestly, annoying order, and both Caitlyn and Nick handled it beautifully. They were kind, patient, and even joked with me about it, reassuring me that they had definitely seen “worse” orders. Their sense of humor and positive attitude turned what could have been an awkward interaction into something really fun and relaxed.

Both employees were professional, well-groomed, and clearly took pride in their work. I come to this store fairly regularly, and this was by far the best experience I have had here. Both sandwiches were made exactly as I ordered, and they were delicious. The bread even tasted fresh, which is rare for a late-evening visit.

They also did a great job on the business side of things. Both Caitlyn and Nick attempted an upsell in a friendly, non-pushy way, and Nick made sure I knew I had points available to use. That kind of attention to detail really stands out.

The only small piece of feedback I would offer is that some of the produce was looking a little tired, which is understandable later in the evening. It might be helpful for the prep team or owner to consider a later refresh so the veggies stay looking as fresh as the rest of the experience feels.

Overall, this visit felt like the kind of quick, personal, warm service I would expect from a small local sandwich shop, not a large chain. Caitlyn and Nick turned a frustrating start to my night into a really positive experience, and they absolutely deserve recognition for it. Thank you both for making my day.”

“So it took way too long to get our pizzas. I was told 30-40 minutes delivery time and it was an hour and 15 minutes until we finally got ours. I'm giving it a 5 star due to the fact when I called the second time the manager having good customer service and the driver was also polite and apologetic.”

“We stayed one night in a king suite while visiting Joshua Tree. The room was well kept, with a large king bed and fold out sofa bed, both very comfortable. There was also a small kitchenette with sink, fridge, and microwave. No breakfast but we knew that beforehand. Convenient location right next to Dollar Tree which is stocked with all first-aid stuff.

Shout to the guy on front-desk working on Dec 26th night shift for great service! We had a small injury and he promptly provided us with first aid gaze and pads, and recommended medical options available in the area. He is a true star employee!”

“This restaurant has a drive thru, perfect for if you just left Joshua Tree National Park and are hungry! The food hit the spot perfectly and was fresh and hot within a couple of minutes of ordering at the window. GREAT pricing, especially when compared to other options, even more so with how good the food is! The refried beans in particular were a great side with perfect flavor! The enchiladas had great flavor with great portion sizes - the enchilada sauce and chicken both were so tasty. The burrito was HUGE and packed with meat in a great ratio to rice and beans so that it was balanced. My family was so happy to have found this place. Highly recommended if you're coming through 29 Palms!!”
