“This campground was really great. The location was nice too, since it is in the middle of the park. You are close to everything. I recommend this campground, it is nice for tents as well if you bring a mallet or rock to place the stakes.”

Taco shop not only is the food amazing but they even have a bowling alley and a bar to top it off hands-down best restaurant I’ve ever been to Lil alone in 29 palms. “Absolutely phenomenal! Taqueria Las Palmas blew me away. I tried their quesabirria tacos, carne asada, and al pastor, and every bite was bursting with flavor. You can tell everything is made with care and authentic technique. Their handmade tortillas were the perfect finishing touch—soft, fresh, and packed with that homemade goodness that takes everything to the next level. This spot is a true gem. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-quality, authentic Mexican food! 🌮🔥”

“Our first time in couldn't have been better! Our service was phenomenal and everyone was so friendly. I have the Bacon Ranch Chicken sandwich and french fries, both were so tast. It was a great place to relax and unwind. There even appeared to be a BBQ truck on site too, I would love to know the times of that to try it. The icing on the cake was that we were able to eat on the patio with our pup, our amazing waitress offered him water and even a puppy patty. Even if you don't drink, you won't regret stopping by this place for a bite to eat! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5”

“Absolutely the best barbecue. We drive 1.5 hours to this great place. My husband has been coming here for 50 years and never been disappointed. I start with Jalapeños and go on from there. Steaks are cut on site and chicken dishes are great as is the salmon.”

“Hole in a wall and a gem to have in 29palms. I have heard from friends how cute the inside was and the customer service. I believe all of it now. I ordered their strawberry poppy seed scone and it was yummy. I’ll definitely come back & I highly recommend for groups or to-go orders. Really nice vibe here.”

“Lol, some dude really compared this place to Castaneda. SMH. Not the greatest in the world, but you're not going to find real asada as in actually grilled for $3 a taco anywhere else in California. Anywhere else you're paying $5.”

“Always friendly here. I’ve never had a roll I disliked. Ramen is also pretty good. I usually come back for both when I want something in 29 out of the norm. Service can sometimes take a while due to staff shortage and the restroom has always had a funky smell. I wouldn’t recommend the table closest to restroom. Will come back !”

“Having never been to a Carl’s Jr before, I have to say I’m impressed. My family and I hit up the drive thru during non busy hours so it took longer than expected, but that’s a good thing! The food was fresh and hot. We don’t hit up fast food often, but this place is good to go!”

“Excellent food, the fried shrimp are perfect! The red beans and rice I didn't like too sweet..shouldn't be. The catfish need to be cut into smaller stripes, the grey area of the catfish filet needs to be trimmed out of the raw filet during prep otherwise it tastes muddy. Just FYI from a southerner who owns catfish farms.”

“The food is decent but overpriced and every once in a while I have been served bad food. E.g, I had the buffalo chicken salad and one of the chicken strips was too tough to eat and discolored. The other strip was fine and my friend’s buffalo chicken wrap was also fine. The daily specials are also pretty good and it doesn’t usually take too long to get your food. If you’re around, it’s a good place to check out.”

“We had a good 2 night stay at the hotel. The decor is slightly dated but the room was fine, beds comfortable and bathroom clean. The pool was great for the kids. There are good dining options on site or very nearby. I would recommend the Japanese restaurant round the corner. I would suggest that they need to replace the floor in the lift as it was very dirty and did give an initial bad impression, however the rest of the hotel was fine!”

“Went in a couple of days ago and was not greeted, and was met with crew members slamming utensils and not accommodating at all.

Coming from someone that is a customer service manager, I understand the frustration and the repetitiveness of working fast food especially. I know this location is literally not even a month from being open, so I am saying this with grace and no ill intent....

The store hasn't been open nearly long enough to not have lively energy when people walk in. They have to consider that this is a new store again, and people are going to be coming in, in droves to get some food that is brand new to the Military Base.

Hopefully they get it together soon. I love Qdoba and don't want my experiences from this location to make me want to go to Chipotle... ewww.”

“This location is amazing under the new franchisee! The bread is always the freshest ever! Employees are welcoming and it’s not so dark inside anymore. I have the choice of two different locations, this is my number one. The quality is just perfect. Thank you for having such a great subway, especially so close to work and home.”

“So it took way too long to get our pizzas. I was told 30-40 minutes delivery time and it was an hour and 15 minutes until we finally got ours. I'm giving it a 5 star due to the fact when I called the second time the manager having good customer service and the driver was also polite and apologetic.”

“This restaurant has a drive thru, perfect for if you just left Joshua Tree National Park and are hungry! The food hit the spot perfectly and was fresh and hot within a couple of minutes of ordering at the window. GREAT pricing, especially when compared to other options, even more so with how good the food is! The refried beans in particular were a great side with perfect flavor! The enchiladas had great flavor with great portion sizes - the enchilada sauce and chicken both were so tasty. The burrito was HUGE and packed with meat in a great ratio to rice and beans so that it was balanced. My family was so happy to have found this place. Highly recommended if you're coming through 29 Palms!!”
