“Have eaten at three of their locations. Two additionally in Vista. Prices are higher by a dollar on lunch and dinner menu here over Vista. Portions are the same Always have enough for a snack later. Absolutely the best Chinese food I’ve eaten in San Diego area, and we have tried dozens of restaurants.Dining room is loud and could be arranged better but it’s the food that you are looking for!!50 dollar bill for dinner for two. No dishes to wash and your belly will be full and happy.“

“Really liked this place! It is pretty affordable as far as things go these days, but you get really large portion sizes. I ordered the combo B and it came with lots of chow mein, veggies, and meats. It all tasted pretty good too ? would recommend ?“

“Delicious food in Escondido. I love the broth that they use for the Pho. On this visit I had a pork Banh Mi. It was a nice ratio between pork and vegetables. On a nice crusty baguette. I got a small side of broth that I dipped my sandwichin. My friends enjoyed their meal. One had Pad Thai the other one had the “

“Thank god Bamboo House survived Covid because I could not survive without Bamboo House. Delicious Chinese food - flavorful, not greasy, vegetables are well cooked… Favorite dishes include aromatic shrimp, egg fu yung, kung pao beef, and mu shu chicken. Friendly staff, too. Don’t miss this spot!“

“Love the food here! All the employees are very friendly. There was one named Pierre and he was very nice and helpful when I was ordering my food. After I got the food he asked if I needed anything. Great customer service! The food was very fresh and tasted amazing! Definitely recommend to anyone“

“I never know quite how to rate something like this. You know you’re not in Vegas. So a buffet isn’t going to be good food. But it’s pretty decent. What you’d expect. Service is good. Comfortable, reasonably priced for younger folk with big appetites. Been there a few times.“

“To start this place was amazing I am personally very picky when it comes to Chinese takeout and the food here was absolutely fantastic. This will probably be the only place I come to in the future I had the Orange chicken and the sesame chicken both I highly recommend. I also feel the price was perfect for the portion size. You get your moneys worth.“

“Adding this as one of our favorites. The hot-n-sour soup was actually HOT and the atmosphere was soothing. We LOVE soup dumplings and these are some of the best. Also a favorite are the braised string beans - tossed with ground pork with a tender yet snap consistency. I dont usually rave about eggrolls but these were the bomb, served with the perfect sweet n sour hot mustard sauce. Will defiantly repeat!Kid-friendliness: boostersWheelchair accessibility: no stairs wide doorway“

“Delicious peking duck; crispy skin not to much fat make sure you are ready to pay over phone an hour before going in to eat. You need to pre order it because it is time consuming and hard to prepare but worth the wait and supet sweet owners“

“Anytime I crave Panada, this location is right around the corner, and they always do it right. I'm always greeted and welcomed by the staff. Tonight was no different. Unfortunately for the staff this time, they had to deal with a 300lb Karen and her family of hungry hippos. The staff remained professional the entire time while taking care of their custome orders for these picky eaters. I almost thought about leaving because these people were taking forever to order. But I knew it would hit the spot if I just waited patiently. It was also the last hour of the night, so of course, the rush came in, and the popular entrees were going fast. Being the great people they are, they let me know it was gonna be a small wait. I didn't mind at all. Got my food, sat down and ate. But here came Karen on the hangry rampage. She was rude, demanding the names of the manager and staff so she could report them too corprate, and get them in trouble. Of course, the manager (CJ) remained calm and professional and reassured King Kong that they would be taken care of. The young lady working the register also remained professional while getting harassed not only by her word but the stench coming from her fat flaps. And they did all this while simultaneously taking care of the other customers at the same time. I just wanna say what a great staff they have. I hope corprate recognizes that and continues to show gratitude for all their hard work! You guys Rock! I'll be back for sure!“

“My wife and I love eating at K.J.'s restaurant! IT'S NOT CHINESE FAST FOOD, they serve large authentic Chinese dishes. Every time we dine at K.J.'s, IT IS A CULTURAL EXPERIENCE! Having said that, cultural dishes/experiences take time. So relax and enjoy. I see that people complain about prices? We factor in that the portions are ridiculously huge. They are family portions, they are meant to be shared by the family = CULTURE. You might order two dishes to be shared by three people and you're still going to be taking some extra food home. We frequent Harrah's quite a bit because we live nearby. We've eaten at most of the restaurants near Harrah's. I've noticed that there is a big employee turnover rate out here, but not at K.J.'s. That's because it's tough to get people to come out this far to work. Having said that, these people (all service workers) rely on their tips to make it worth the trip out here. My advice, tip well because it brings me great luck, they depend and deserve it. Did I mention that tipping brings me great luck? I was very surprised to see complaints, I think it comes down to cultural misunderstandings. While we might perceive the service to be robotic or unfriendly, I learned that they are just super professional and super serious about doing a good job = CULTURE. Be understanding of their culturalistic ways or differences in serving you. We go back because we love the experience of authentic Chinese fine dining. We see the same employees, the kitchen staff is Chinese, that's why it's so good and authentic. Our last visit was particularly fun because the manager (Ginny, I think) came out to see how we doing. We had a great conversation, she's super personable and very funny it was a truly delightful conversation. We will keep coming back for a real cultural experience, great-tasting authentic Chinese food, and now fun conversations. Great food and experiences take time, so just relax and enjoy“
