“This is our second time to have dinner at this hidden gem in Bodega Bay. The service and food are exceptional. I had Halibut and my husband had the pasta dish. I think this is the best halibut I have ever eaten. My husband also raved about his pasta dish. Don't forget to order the bread, also delicious. Finished off our dinner with a wonderful chocolate cake.“

“We had a great experience at Drakes Sonoma Coast. We were staying at the hotel there so it was very convenient. The views from the restaurant are excellent of the bay and the wetlands. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. The food was very good too.“

“The cook and the drummer is an amazing, extremely professional, well organized and resourceful catering company. They catered a 100+ event, connected me with local vendors such as florist and musicians; they know how to adjust to budget constraints at the same time they have a vision to make your event as impactful and amazing as you want it to be. Also their staff is very well trained. I highly recommend working with them. Our family celebration ended up exceeding our expectations. And the food was delicious!“

“My friend and I shared a wine tasting which consisted of three small glasses of tasting size. You get to pick the three wines that you want. Not a huge selection., but works. We decided to eat there and I got the crabcakes which were pretty tasty a spicy sauce on top, and there were bell peppers and with the crabcakes. My friend got salmon with the skin was very crispy which he likes but the inside was too rare and he had to ask them to cook it more. It came back, still a bit too rare, and we fed that to the seagulls….The couscous salad that came with it was the best thing of all. I would not run back there but if you’re hungry and in that exact area, it’s a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. They have a couple of different patios outside, and the staff was very friendly. The one remark my friend said was that if they’re going to leave the salmon that raw like they said they usually do, they should ask people how they like it cooked. He loves sushi, but it was too rare for him being that it was salmon. It was a great day to get away from the high heat of Sonoma. We went from the 90s to the 60s wearing a jacket. He had never gone by the school house from Alford Hitchcock The Birds, so we did that on the way out.“

“Wow! What a gem! If you are looking for outstanding chowder, you have to try Ginochio’s Kitchen. Best chowder we have had in California. The owner is a sweetheart who knows everything about the town of Bodega Bay.
Huge parking lot with lots of spots. Clean restrooms. Food comes out quick and piping hot.
We finally got to try their breakfast burritos and they did not disappoint. Huge and filled with delicious pulled pork.
We will definitely be back soon!“

“I just had the best taco of my entire life. It was rabbit sausage with a salsa macha and persimmon. The tortillas were delicious, the sausage was plentiful and juicy, and the salsa macha was the right amount of hot and flavorful. Sooooo good.“

“Wow, wonderful spot, with some of the best fried chicken ever. Super crispy, super moist, tender and flavorful.the waffles were hella good,the syrup was the thinnest I have ever had,but it was Excellent. And the gravy was so good I finished it with a spoon. Also, homemade hot sauce, comparable to Tabasco was really good. Will definitely be back.“

“I called ahead to see if it was alright for Drakes to hold a cake for me for a day which I was told was fine. Upon arrival, the hostess made me feel like I was a massive burden informing me that they in fact don't do that but they could be so kind as to do it just this once. They even went as far as to ask who I spoke to like I was making this up. If you're in the business of hospitality and you're going to accommodate me anyways why do you need to make me feel like a burden. I'll probably never ever want to eat there again. Despite the food being great, the hostesses hospitality entirely turned me off of ever staying at Drakes or dining there.“

“We hosted our son's Rehearsal Dinner at Hop Monk Sebastopol and it was perfect. The food and atmosphere were great, and the staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate the wedding couple. Lindsay was very cooperative about having me drop off decorations and centerpieces which they set up while we were at the rehearsal. I especially appreciated all of the staff recognizing what an important night it was and doing everything in their power to make it special. I would happily host another event there.“
