“The food is AMAZING. I do feel a bit cheated out of the overall experience. The joint is inside the supermarket and they don’t have a seating area. Something the previous reviews neglected to mention. For a $100+ order and two have to take it to go, it’s definitely not what I expected. We did a picnic nearby to adjust. The food is a culinary trip. I highly recommend them. It is by far one of the best sushi joints in the San Fernando Valley.“

“I don’t live in the van nuys area. Today I was working down the street from balboa poke. So gave it a try,& it was delicious I got the poke bowl . Everything was very fresh and a lot of sides to choose from. Also ther are a lot of options for sauces, seems like it’s family owned and they are friendly and accommodating ,“

“Worst food I've ever had. We walked in. There was tables in front of the dining area. Asked if we could dine in she said oh yeah for you no problems. Ordered. The scallop roll and spicy yellow tail was the slimiest and most disgusting fish I've ever eaten. Where's food!! Would recommend only using the bathroom there which was unkempt and poorly maintained!!“
