“Absolutely some of the best tacos I've had in Ventura. Stopped by really quick after Target after putting it off way too many times and it was just as good, and better than I hoped it'd be. Really affordable compared to every other taco place I've been to in the area and better tasting. The bits of fresh charred pineapple on the pastor tacos was so good. The guys working tonight were super friendly and wrapped our food up to go really quickly. The tortillas were also homemade I'm pretty sure. Every bit was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try all of the other meat and their tortas. HIGHLY recommended, I'm so glad these guys are allowed to have their pop-up and I hope they're around for a long long time.“

“Hands down, best fish tacos my wife and I ever had. Huge tacos LOADED with fish. I get the battered and my wife gets the grilled and both are amazing. Locally owned, the delightful owners truly care about putting a quality product in front of you. Gorgeous presentation and oh-so- flavorful! And the beans and rice, not your typical refrieds, but a delicious white bean and jasmine rice, incredible! They even make their own blue corn tortillas. Nothing else in Ventura can match these fish tacos. You must give them a try!“
“this is always a go too for me. I live close and its a great truck! lingua on point, pastor on point, cabeza on point, at least that's just my regular taco order lol also great horchata and churros if your in the mood for something sweet! anyway the menu is simple and straight forward which in my opinion usually means they know what they excel in and don't vier to far from it.“

“Legitimately well done Texas style BBQ Brisket. We also had the Maple Pork Belly Burnt Ends, Texas Twinkie(Bacon wrapped, meat stuffed jalapeno), and Loaded Corn Cup, The Brisket was just a little dry (I judge Brisket really hard, so...) everything else we had was really well done. I did not care for their BBQ sauce it was too vinegary for me.Parking: Parking is in the back of the Ventura Music Hall“

“The chili cheeseburger is amazing - in fact, I've now ordered it on two different occasions because I enjoyed it so much. My husband got one of the hot dogs but after trying my burger, he ended up ordering a chili cheeseburger, too, the second time we visited. The beer was good, the servers are friendly and attentive, and we'll likely be back soon. I don't know where else I'd get a phenomenal brisket like this.“

“So, I swung by B & J Drive-In for a quick lunch, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience! Picture this: a charming little diner with a classic drive-up setup. You order at the window, grab your number, and voila, food's on its way.First impressions? Clean as a whistle. Not a speck of trash in sight, and the staff? Super friendly and helpful. They even helped me navigate their menu with ease. Now, onto the grub. Oh boy, where do I start? They've got everything from juicy cheeseburgers to mouthwatering hot wings. I opted for the Asada burrito, and let me warn you, it's massive! Flavor-packed and oh-so-satisfying. My brother went for the corn burritos, and he couldn't stop raving about them. Fresh and homemade vibes all the way.But wait, there's more! My nephew tackled their colossal cheeseburger like a champ. Two patties, onion rings, cheese, bacon...you name it, it's on there. And trust me, it's as ginormous as it sounds. All in all, B & J Drive-In gets a big thumbs up from me. Quick service, delicious food, and that cozy diner vibe make it a winner in my book.“

“Happy to have found a nice little hole in the wall taco spot in Ventura. Located in a strip mall it was easy to spot this place. There was tons of parking and I came for a late lunch so the center itself wasn't super busy. Taco Mendoza has a good amount of tables and you order up at the counter. The menu is placed on the counter so there really isn't a menu hanging that you can view if there is a line. Staff were friendly and quick. I ordered my food to go so there wasn't much of an interaction but when ordering everyone seemed nice enough. They had some young guys taking orders and packaging food with a more seasoned looking cook in the back. The kitchen is open concept so you can see what's being done. Takeout was a breeze as it seems like the meat is pre cooked because they had my tacos ready in under 2 minutes. Some may prefer meat cooked to order (I know I normally do) but today I was in a rush so it worked out. I kept it simple and went with some street tacos: Carnitas: 3/5. A little dry and bland for my taste. Wasn't bad but I wouldn't get again. Asada: 5/5. Very flavorful and tasty. The meat pieces aren't very big but they packed good flavor that I didn't even need salsa on those tacos. I would definitely get this protein again as it was good. This place is a casual solid 3.5 but bumping them up to a 4 as we can't do half stars here. I appreciate that you can get food here in under a few minutes to be out the door. Not the best tacos in the 805 but when in the area it definitely hits the spot and I would come back for some easy grab and go street tacos.“

“This is an authentic taco shop right on the beach. 1/2 block to sand, free public parking, and restrooms. We ordered pastor and beef tacos. They came small, double tortilla wrapped (enough filling for 4), and in a nice plastic container. The green sauce was not spicy. Which is perfect for me; it was tangy and absolutely delicious.“

“I have since relocated from the 805 and really miss the food. I would drive back for it if time permitted. Al pastor is awesome, but ironically their chicken recipe is what I can't forget---chicken burrito, chicken tacos, chicken quesadilla, chicken anything. Very tasty spicy salsa, they don't call themselves Diablo for nothing! And get those fryer fresh chips, quesabirria, chicken burrito, a carnitas torta, and some fish tacos!“
“Just when I thought my prayers weren’t being heard, and I started to lose hope because things kept getting worse. I asked my family to help me find the best place for my loved one who wanted to change but we didn’t know how to help him. This place really puts their heart in what they do and it works because it’s built on Gods foundation and I’m so grateful I seen a tremendous change in one month we left one man that couldn’t find happiness even if it looked like he had everything. He was missing Jesus in his life when we seen him he was glowing he had a smile that I had never seen before, that day he was baptized in JESUS name praise the lord! It’s still a long process but I know God is going to finish the work in him and our family, I am forever grateful with our Lord Jesus Christ and LIFELINE for being Warriors of GOD ❤️“

“Rocks and Drams in downtown Ventura exceeded all expectations! Located on California Street, just south of Main Street, this hidden gem stands out with its bright exterior and inviting signage. Once inside, you're greeted with a sophisticated and elegant lounge atmosphere, complete with small tables, cozy couch seating, and a stylish bar.The upscale speakeasy vibe is enhanced by the dark, muted colors, luxurious fabrics, and eccentric artwork adorning the walls. While the music was a bit too loud for the ambiance, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The cocktails at Rocks and Drams are truly a work of art. Each drink is meticulously crafted with spot-on ingredients, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. The staff, including the friendly and knowledgeable bartender who assisted us, were exceptionally helpful and polite. What's more, the prices for the drinks are incredibly reasonable considering the upscale atmosphere of the lounge. I can't wait to return to Rocks and Drams for another unforgettable evening of delicious drinks and elegant ambiance. Five stars all the way!“

“Love this place! I had heard it was really good food. But I had no expectation that it was going to be as excellent as it turned out to be. So fresh! And really tasty. Not your run-of-the-mill, Mexican food. I will definitely drive an hour she go there again, and again…Vegetarian options: I ordered the burrito bowl with beans and rice. It comes with the freshest greens, avocado, and lightly pickled vegetables. So so good and tasty.“

“Modern restaurant with lots of meat options that you can pick from for your burrito. The desserts look fresh and amazing, can't wait to try. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Not too much indoor space so could be a challenge for large parties, plus they prepare everything as takeout. Highly recommended!“

“As always, they were spot-on. The toughest seafood to my thinking is Calamari and they always do it perfectly. It was a Friday night, and they were absolutely slammed. We hadn't ordered ahead, so we waited nearly an hour, but out supper was worth it. I keep seeing a dozen things on the menu that I should have tried and always go back to the same things.“
“Wow!! Javier’s team catered my husband’s 60th birthday party at Plan B Wine Cellars and the food was fantastic! Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. Tacos and all the accoutrements. Service was friendly, fast, and they were all so nice!“
“Quick stop as I wanted pastor tacos. I ended up getting a pastor burrito and was told by the lady that the pastor was really good. I'll say that I wasn't mad at what I got, but it definitely was not the traditional pastor flavor that I'm used to. The burrito was huge and I was able to make 2 meals from it. Overall it was good. Service was quick! Don't be afraid of the sauces. I was told the orange reddish color sauce was super spicy but it really wasn't, good flavor though.“
