“Favorite local place for craft cocktails. The bartenders here know their craft and they stock hard to find liquor that most local places don’t have. On my most recent visit I ordered a La Louisiana which in addition to whiskey and vermouth also requires Benedictine and Absinthe, which most local bars here don’t carry.“
“All of the staff were friendly and helpful! The bar tender, Jordan, was especially awesome! It wasn't too busy when we were in, Jordan entertained us with stories(dude is super funny!) and made us great drinks!Really appreciate the cushions and pillows along the back walls as my back needs a bit of extra support when I'm out!The new fire tornadoes are great too!“
“First time here and I can't wait to return. Everything we ordered was good. I was afraid the hot sauce on the poke bowl would be too spicy because I'm picky about hot sauce, but it was just right. Staff was friendly. Salsa on the shrimp tacos had zero spice but tasted fresh and complimented the shrimp perfectly. The house salad was refreshing and big enough for two people if you have it as a side.“
“Just a cool spot. Pool tables, dart boards, outside patio, great drinks, great people.... a neighborhood bar that welcomes everyone. Also, dart tournaments. You may have to be pretty good to win, but everyone is invited to join. Good drinks, good people, good times.Parking: The lot isn't real big, but there's lots of street parking right out front. I've never had any issue parking.“
“Love this place! I had heard it was really good food. But I had no expectation that it was going to be as excellent as it turned out to be. So fresh! And really tasty. Not your run-of-the-mill, Mexican food. I will definitely drive an hour she go there again, and again…Vegetarian options: I ordered the burrito bowl with beans and rice. It comes with the freshest greens, avocado, and lightly pickled vegetables. So so good and tasty.“
“I'm not picky or particular but I do have things that I like and are important to me in an establishment. This place came through with flying colors. The food was amazing, came out hot and quite quickly for how busy they were. They also went out of their way to make sure I got the cocktail that I wanted even though it took an extra bit of work. Really true professionals behind the bar and serving. I was also lucky enough to go to the bar while karaoke was going on and I was just blown away. Their karaoke guy Joe was fun and engaging, my entire group had a great time. The place was smaller than I expected but everyone there is an absolute Rockstar.“
“Rocks and Drams in downtown Ventura exceeded all expectations! Located on California Street, just south of Main Street, this hidden gem stands out with its bright exterior and inviting signage. Once inside, you're greeted with a sophisticated and elegant lounge atmosphere, complete with small tables, cozy couch seating, and a stylish bar.The upscale speakeasy vibe is enhanced by the dark, muted colors, luxurious fabrics, and eccentric artwork adorning the walls. While the music was a bit too loud for the ambiance, it didn't detract from the overall experience. The cocktails at Rocks and Drams are truly a work of art. Each drink is meticulously crafted with spot-on ingredients, offering a variety of options to suit every taste. The staff, including the friendly and knowledgeable bartender who assisted us, were exceptionally helpful and polite. What's more, the prices for the drinks are incredibly reasonable considering the upscale atmosphere of the lounge. I can't wait to return to Rocks and Drams for another unforgettable evening of delicious drinks and elegant ambiance. Five stars all the way!“
“We came for a birthday dinner so we were a large group. Once we were seated, our server took our drink orders. But it took a bit longer for the server to take our meal order. Once our chef arrived then the night became exciting and entertaining. The freshly made food tasted delicious. At the end of the dinner, a server offered to take our picture and had it printed within minutes.“
“Ana, Angie, Luis and Luke are all amazing! I came to eat here 2 days in a row. Luis was sweet and super personable as my server yesterday and remembering me today. Luke dropped off our food both days and was extremely kind and had great customer service. Ana was my server today and was extremely sweet with great awareness of all the tables she was tending to. Angie is a newly promoted manager which is a great role for her. Angie came to get my order started and was super helpful! The food is always amazing here and the customer service and atmosphere are too! Thank you all for always making it a great experience!!“
“Gloria's is great. Our friends have lived in Ventura for 40 years and they brought us here as they said breakfast burritos are the best in town. They are huge and super good. I shared one, 1/2 was more than enough. We came back a few days later for dinner. It's not fancy dining but waiters were great, food served quickly, excellent quality fresh salads, warm crunchy chips and tasty salsa with some zing. We tried Pina Colada's, very good. And flan for desert, yum. Great Value too. I'd def come back on next visit to Ventura.“
“I love going to this place. I was new to the area and I felt right at home. They have live bands some days and DJ’s the other ones. The staff members are great. The bouncers keep an eye to make sure it’s not too rowdy or any escalations of fights.“
“Not to let the cat out of the bag, but this place is kind of a big thing! Where else can you enjoy good company, affordable cocktails and an outdoor patio in Ventura? I think I'm gonna shed a tear when it's last call because I know I'll have to wait another 12 hours before I can come back.“
“Each time we’ve come to Brophy Bro’s we have felt ignored and unseen. As African Americans this felt very uncomfortable. Every single time waiters have walked by us until we have to stop someone to ask for service. NOT COOL! (At all)We came today in Easter Sunday with reservations. We still waited 15 minutes to even addressed at our table.Food: We absolutely LOVE the clam chowder and Oyster Rockefeller.. however today we also tried the Shrimp Scampi ! NOT good at all. No flavor and it came with a thickens bland floury gravy. How can you mess up Shrimp Scampy? Can you consider bringing back your crab cakes? We may give it one more try.. ?It doesn’t hurt to smile…“
“Came in for happy hour and all I can say is wow! The service was absolutely incredible- we had Jeff and he was such a delight! He was attentive to our needs, knowledgable of the menu and just such a joy to speak with! He knows how to add a personal touch to the experience! 10/10 would recommend!“
“So good to be back!!! My favorite spot in Ventura for a cocktail or a football game. Sports on all day, amazing staff and I have met some of my favorite people there. Now life long friends... come say hi to Travi and Chantelle my buddies will take care of you. Stay happy and blessed!“
“This please is such a great location to hang with friends and listen to live music. My personal favorite is when Astral Weather plays during open mic night. I also love Steve Sharp's karaoke! He runs a fun and efficient party! Beth is one of the kindest bartenders ever. It's truly an excellent place.“
“The wife and I went here for our ten year anniversary, it was great they serve alcohol if you want. We had the tiger shrimp cocktail which was great the cocktail sauce had some horseradish on the side and I had to try it great with a kick. For our main course we had halibut with organic brown rice and organic black beans, to be honest it was one of the best meals I've had in years. I will definitely be coming back.“
