I have contacted the W. LA 2 time about this problem. I ordered on 7/15 and realized i scheduled it for 7/16, i called the restaurant, the woman over the phone said she cancelled it, i reordered it online, the delivery was done. the next day i got a text from door dash saying a driver was on the way to the location to pick up my order. I called the restaurant and they said they had no order, the driver also confirmed the order was canceled via text message. I had been waiting for the refund to post to my account and 10days later there is still no refund, no response from Zankou. I called the restaurant again this morning and spoke with Jaime and he insisted i needed to call doordash, doordash has no number to call, when you click help, it says to contact the store. this is a lot of money and i need to know how i am going to get it refunded when i have been sent in circles? this is the only way of contacting the company, no phone number, no one responds to the contact us form, no confirmation emails on orders. We go to Zankou 2-3 time a month, from the west LA location. I've ordered catering for work multiple times and we have never had any problems before. thats what makes this so hard to write. we have finally heard word there is going to be a zankou in the south bay and are family is very excited.

“The family and I decided to stop by and grab Mediterranean food and my husband brought me by his spot he has been going to for 1 yeah or+ years. Upon entering you get greeted by the sweetest owner and staff. The menu is quite extensive and has variety of things from kabob plates to wraps; then burgers and vegetarian options. I ended up getting the lamb and beef kabob plate with hummus and rice. I also got a side of falafel and some fries to share with the family. The hubby got the beef kabob plate and we shared with the girls. Portions were quite filling and more then enough for our family , hummus was so good. Everything is fresh and house made to the sauces that come with it. The garlic being some of my favorite. This family owned place serves really good food and made sure the family was fed and happy. Definitely recommend and absolutely coming back.“

“I come to this location of Dave’s Hot Chicken more than my doctor wants me to! The food is always top notch, the restaurant is always running like a well run machine, always clean, always welcoming, always a great atmosphere! The management and staff here are amazing. “I finally had the opportunity to go to Chef Mei Lin’s restaurant creation, daybird! Although she’s stepped away from the day-to-day, I still needed to try and I’m glad I did! The Sichuan Hot Chicken Sando was great!! I got mine as a mild-level spice but even with that there’s still some heat. The fries are a must too and you have to go with the milk tea or the mango lemonade. If I lived here, I’d be back!! Big portions of chicken.“

“As a Regular here, I’m surprised I have not reviewed this fine established yet! My family and I literally eat from this location ONCE A WEEK! It’s either via DoorDash or GrubHub who ever offers the most Discount that week ;) unless I’m in the area I’ll pick it up. Personally if it was my wish or hope I would replace them with all of Dave’s. I’m surprised they only have 2 locations. The sandwich burst with flavor and most recently Im addicted to the Burrito. “I discovered this place through a YouTuber’s recommendation and I’m really glad I tried it. It was my first visit, and while it’s easy to miss since there’s no sign outside, I had no trouble finding it.

We were greeted right away, ordering was simple, and the food was ready in about 10–15 minutes. The chicken was the highlight—flavorful, juicy, and very filling. The sides (sweet potato fries and coleslaw) were just okay; the fries were a bit soggy when we got home and the coleslaw was slightly too tangy for our taste.

Overall, the chicken alone makes it worth a visit. I’d definitely recommend it!“

“Mean Chix did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to order.

* Combo #2 (Mean Sandwich, 1 Tender, Kale Slaw & House Sauce) -
The sandwich was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The tender was excellent, and the kale slaw and house sauce complemented everything perfectly.

* Mac & Cheese (Mild) -
Creamy, cheesy, and delicious. The perfect side to pair with the chicken. Next time I may take it up a notch to medium for a different taste experience.
The atmosphere feels similar to a classic burger spot; casual and welcoming. I chose to eat inside, where there was some noise, but it was completely bearable. If you prefer, there is also ample outdoor seating available.

The service was friendly and attentive. Wendy, along with who I assume was the owner, were both helpful, welcoming, and made sure I was taken care of throughout my visit.

Expect about a 10-15 minute wait for your food, but that's because everything is made fresh to order. The quality was well worth the wait.

They have a special on Mondays for a whole chicken two large sides with some tortillas and all the sauces.

The staff is so friendly and welcoming. It felt like I've been going there for years even though it was my first time.

You might want to get yourself an extra side of mac and cheese!

The sign outside says drive-thru they do not have a drive-thru, but they do have on-site parking and the food does not take very long.

If you order a whole chicken they will give it to you all cut up so it's perfect if you want to take it to the park or don't like/know how to carve a chicken.

But they have a very cute little outdoor patio and some seating inside, so don't hesitate to go with your family and friends!

“The food was good I have to go back for more to get a better selection and taste of his food, I think he needs to give more filling to his cornbread though it's too thin has a great sweet taste to it. I had a fire that was dried out that was not good crunchy though.“
