I have contacted the W. LA 2 time about this problem. I ordered on 7/15 and realized i scheduled it for 7/16, i called the restaurant, the woman over the phone said she cancelled it, i reordered it online, the delivery was done. the next day i got a text from door dash saying a driver was on the way to the location to pick up my order. I called the restaurant and they said they had no order, the driver also confirmed the order was canceled via text message. I had been waiting for the refund to post to my account and 10days later there is still no refund, no response from Zankou. I called the restaurant again this morning and spoke with Jaime and he insisted i needed to call doordash, doordash has no number to call, when you click help, it says to contact the store. this is a lot of money and i need to know how i am going to get it refunded when i have been sent in circles? this is the only way of contacting the company, no phone number, no one responds to the contact us form, no confirmation emails on orders. We go to Zankou 2-3 time a month, from the west LA location. I've ordered catering for work multiple times and we have never had any problems before. thats what makes this so hard to write. we have finally heard word there is going to be a zankou in the south bay and are family is very excited.

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. “I've always come to Hummus Lab for their lunch special, and it has always been good. This time, I went with my friend and we tried the Ultimate Combo.

We sat inside the restaurant, which is relatively small and has only a few tables. We both enjoyed the filet mignon kabob and the salad. The red beet dill hummus was mostly enjoyed by me with the pita bread. The chicken mini shawarma nachos weren't really our thing and were pretty much untouched.

Although we enjoyed the combo, I would say the lunch special with the chicken kabob is a much better value. I probably wouldn't order this combo again.“

“The overall experience was great. The food was tasty and plentiful. The setting of the room and patio as well as table serving is very pleasant. One negative to note were the drinks: my latte was not satisfying - too small (~12oz.), not enough milk (too much foam for a latte) and per my request for extra steamed milk they offered two Coffeemate creamer pods - all while it set me back $10.40+tax; a 0.5 litter (16.9oz.) bottle of Pellegrino was $4.16+tax.“

“I spotted this place while driving to See’s Candies and decided to give it a try, so glad I did. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was on point. We were greeted right away, and the whole place had a warm, welcoming, homey vibe.

The menu selection is solid. We ordered the beef gyro and the chicken souvlaki plate. The beef gyro was very tasty, the meat was tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. The chicken souvlaki was also delicious, but the real standout for me was the hummus. It’s made in-house, and you can absolutely tell, creamy, warm, and honestly one of the best hummus dishes I’ve had.

It even brought back memories of Papa Cristo back in Mid-City LA, that’s how good it was. If you’re craving quality Mediterranean food, don’t pass this gem up.“

“I've been coming to the spot for probably over 10 years and the experience overall has been solid. The owners are always really polite, the food is put together ridiculously fast, and the flavors are pretty familiar and flavorful as you would expect from Mediterranean food. I will say, that perhaps there's a little bit of shrinkflation because most restaurants, the portions just seem a little smaller. I think for this cafe, everything is pretty much the same with high quality hummus, tasty rice, fresh salad, but I think the meat portions are a little smaller than I remember a year ago. Also, this round, my lamb skewers were a bit overcooked and on the dry side. But, perhaps this is just an anomaly for this visit. I'm going to try again probably this month!“

“I ordered the cinnamon oat latte, and I'm usually not a fan of oatmilk but it was balanced so well against the espresso and the cinnamon that it didn't dominate the flavor. It was a very smooth drink, not too sweet, not too bitter, and not too strong.

My wife got the strawberry matcha latte, and while the matcha was of a decent grade and quality, the strawberry isn't a puree, nor is it like a strawberry creme or milk added in, it's an additive in powder form and she doesn't tend to like that.

Their chocolate croissant, which we shared, was heated up as requested, it came with a line of melted chocolate drizzle on top, which I think was similar to Nutella but less thick in terms of consistency. It was also topped with powder sugar, and it had an inserted line of darker chocolate, maybe 65%, so pretty balanced against the sweetness of everything else involved.

The area the cafe is located in is nice, it's a large promenade with several nicer restaurants (it's also sort of attached to it's restaurant counterpart) and there's plenty to walk around and get some shopping done or walk off the drinks and baked sweets. Plenty of parking as well, and the mall itself is only a block or two north from the cafe.“

They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. “This review is for my experience with catering. Due to a mix-up at another restaurant, I had to make last-minute changes to catering plans for a small gathering I was hosting. A couple days before my event, I inquired whether Dune Atwater would be able to fulfill my order.

Leslie the catering director responded the next day and gave recommendations for the size of my event as well as dietary needs. I submitted the order as recommended and picked up the next day.

Food came out on time and they helped load my order into the car. Wow, I was very impressed with the packaging and presentation. Came with quality serving utensils, placards describing the food and ingredients/allergens. Vegetable platter was beautifully arranged with an incredible variety of pickled veggies, salads, and hummus.

Our guests were very impressed by the food presentation, and most importantly, everything was delicious. People who had never eaten at Dune were asking where we catered from. So glad things worked out and we would definitely cater with Dune again.“
