“Best carne asada burrito I have ever had! Very consistent, generous size, and truly mouthwatering. At least once or twice a week we pickup from here. My wife loves the shrimp diabla. Since she's not a big eater, it's 2 meals for her. She gets it every time, so must be good 😁“

“We came with the whole family (7 of us) from San Diego & Murrieta because based on its menu Los Cabos in Vista offered all the types of seafood (raw oysters, whole fish with head and tail, shrimp, octopus). Everything including the tacos we ordered was so finger-licking good!!! Compliments to the chefs! And best of all was the service from Beyonce & Karina - quick, helpful, friendly!!! Our only suggestion would be to please add oxtail to the menu!!! Gracias a todos.“

“This quaint little 'diamond in the rough' find, is by far my favorite place for Mexican food, in the area...they score a well deserved 5 stars in every area. Fantastic food, always fresh and made w love...awesome atmosphere is relaxing if you choose to dine in and the cleanliness is above and beyond and the customer service is always with a smile. Drive thru service available just like all the others, but what makes this little place stand out is the kindness and quality!!“

“Don’t let the location sway you! It’s inside the Chevron gas station. Tried the Birria taco, steak quesadilla and chicken taquitos. All were so good! Their habanero sauce was pretty bomb too. If you love rolled tacos, definitely try this place out!“

Portions were awesome, food and toppings were fresh. Probably the best Rubio’s we’ve had except for the mahi seasoning.

The service is better than most restaurants. The gentlemen here are very attentive, kind, informative, and treat you like family.

This place is a hidden gem and well worth the visit. I live in LA and i still go out of my way to eat here.

Ordered a Machaca breakfast burrito. Must try! Growing up in a Mexican household, the salsas make or break my experience at a local spot like this one. Both the red and green salsas here made Erika’s earn a spot on my list of go-to’s. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu, especially the menudo.“

“You either LIKE nacho cheese/ sauce on your Mexican food, or ya don't. I think that's where some people find fault here-- not *us*, however!

We LOVE the food, ambiance, service, carne, fact that they serve cold beer, and, YES- nacho cheese sauce here. My kid can get a giant helping of nacho cheese fries (off menu-- just ask for it). The husband can get carne asada fries or a carne asada burrito (as big as his forearm). I can get a breakfast burrito, bean & cheese burrito, or bean huarache (I can't find huaraches easily around here, so I appreciate these being on the menu).

Freshly made tortillas (in house!), and freshly-carved carne are just the icing on the cake. This place is legit, and I've held off reviewing it because I DON'T want it to get too packed/ popular (a bit of gatekeeping, if I'm being honest). But this place is good. REALLY good. You won't be disappointed.“

Surf & Turf Fries is an absolute must-try! This dish is a genius fusion of Mexican flavors with a hearty American twist, and it completely blew me away.

Armando's has always been a favorite of mine since like 1995, and my go-to spot for a carne asada burrito with cheese (guac & pico included). I also love their breakfast burritos and used to consider it a solid option on my way to work when I didn't feel like cooking, picking up McDonald's, or eating at the cafe near my work.

They have raised their prices a TON like most other Mexican food spots, most likely due to having to increase how much they pay their employees (CA voters please stop causing price hikes by voting for ballot measures that cause price hikes!). While I get it, it unfortunately has taken me from being a weekly customer to a monthly or bimonthly customer. I just can't justify spending 15 bucks on a burrito more frequently than that when they used to be like half that price but too long ago.

They do seem to recognize the prices are higher and the customer service vibe which has always been okay has been consistently great EVERY time I visit now. It makes the cost of that tasty burrito less painful when you've got so many friendly cashiers and other workers behind the counter.

If we can ever get back to that $10 range for a quality carne asada or breakfast burrito, I'll start visiting more than once a month again. Better yet, maybe they can start a loyalty program so after X number if purchases or dollars spent, you get something free. Heck I'd even visit more often if the free thing was just a horchata (something I also used to get before the price hikes)!“

“Amazing, true al pastor tacos. 8 aguas frescas varieties freshly made each day, amazing roasted onions and pepper side plates if you ask nicely, etc. If you’re looking for good farmland-style Mexican food, look no further. If you don’t love guacamole, make sure to have them go light on it - for some reason they scoop guacamole on everything and that’s my one complaint. It’s not bad, but it’s just too heavy-handed by default

Also, don’t go here if you’re trying to eat some soy nonsense. Go eat a salad or something; this is real food - expecting it to be good at hyper-processed vegan ingredients is setting yourself up for a bad experience.

Frida’s also has a lovely patio and nice clean interior seating area.“

“I was just looking for a wings place, I did not expect such a varied menu. I ordered the carne asada fries, the chipotle fries, buffalo wings, and a carnitas quesadilla. Everybody loved their food!

I had the quesadilla and this may be my second favorite carnitas. Well seasoned, soft, and not oily. I also had some of the chipotle fries. Everybody was right, they were amazing.

It's criminal that there wasn't a line out the door. The prices were reasonable and service was very quick. We definitely will be visiting again.“
