“All I’m gonna say is don’t sleep on the marketplace Café.

This place is great for simple eats like soups, salads, and sandwiches but the spicy shrimp Pomodoro and the pepperoni and mushroom pizza were surprisingly tasty. They also have seasonal specials like birria pizza, yum!

The pizza reminded me of the pizzas that you get at an artisanal pizza joint. It was handmade and executed really well.

The blackened salmon Caesar is so delish and I order it frequently for lunch.

My server Oscar was pleasant, kind and attentive.“

“What a fun night. This was our first time @ Citrus Fresh Grill and we very much enjoyed it. Started with some delicious appetizers that all at the table partook from and all were happy. For entrees between us we tried Fresh Grilled Cod, Skirt Steak, Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Caesar salad - let me just say this - we were a clean plate table because everyone loved their food. The only sad part was we were to full to even look at the dessert menu. Can't wait to go back.“

“Had our Saturday Thanksgiving with the family here and not only did they accommodate for about 30 people, but the service was excellent! Everyone who helped us was obviously a team player because everything came out seamlessly!

“Seven of us (5 adults, 2 kids) went here for a birthday brunch. Our server was so friendly and good at pacing the ordering and serving of the drinks and food. He was also very kind and friendly to our 2 grandkids. The food was all delicious - best eggs Benedict I have had. He wished our son a happy birthday and brought him a delicious chocolate pudding with whipped cream for dessert along with enough spoons that we could all have a taste. Batch & Brine is one of our favorite restaurants in the Lamorinda area.“

“Fast food that doesn’t give you indigestion! (5/5 Green Stars) On the downside – the items (e.g., fries) are not dripping in fat. On the plus side, the items are not dripping in fat! It may take a while to get used to the healthier version of fast food, but think of it this way – it’s actually nourishing your body instead of poisoning it. The signature burger, made from organic quinoa and mushrooms is so much better for you than a burger made from meat. Same deal for the planet, with organic and 100% plant-based ingredients. I’m giving Next Level Burger 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact for the following reasons: • 100% plant-based. Obvious major benefits to animals, society and the planet. • Organic ingredients. Again, benefits to the planet and society. • All packaging, down to the straws, is compostable. That’s the best way to manage the waste stream for this kind of restaurant. • Next Level has supported groups like BLM and Covid healthcare workers. • Founders advocate for plant-based food to deal with climate.“

“Totally worth the drive to fish and see Barbara when they open for lunch.. Barbara is totally awesome. Cash only don't worry. There is ATM in the back. Large food and alcohol selection. We had no problems finding a seat on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of amazing outside seating looking at the lake. Side note my friend comes here occasionally and fishes on the straight. He took me here today and we almost caught a Sturgeon together.“

“Had not tried this place due to a bad taste left in our mouths from prior owner. But we've been reading wonderful reviews and decided to give it a try. Bar service with Tanner and Delion was fantastic. Cocktails came quickly and with a smile. We didn't realize that our reservation wasn't for the Speak Easy (hidden only by a heavy curtain) so we absolutely were happy to wait for a table when it became available. Michelle served us expertly and always with a smile. Food was really good. We shared a Caesar salad and strangely, we both ordered the scallops which we never do! We loved them! Bread pudding for dessert with ice cream didn't disappoint! Can't wait to go back!“

“The food was absolutely delicious. We had the quesadilla and artichoke as appetizers 2 of us had the short ribs, one had the salmon, and one had the lamb shank. For dessert we had the pear tarte and the creme brulee. We were all extremely pleased with everything. The service was a little slow as far as taking our order and our waiter could have been a bit more attentive, but we will definitely be back!“

Sunday Funday is my favorite, with live music until 5pm. Great place to hangout, have some awesome fried cheese curds and wings, kid friendly as well. Checks all the boxes!“

From the moment we walked in, we felt like guests in a welcoming place, after a long day of appointments, we were in search of refuge in the form of chips and salsa, a stiff drink and maybe a plate of nachos before an hour long trek back home to SF. We had the street tacos, rice and beans with chips and salsa. Delicious is an understatement! If you want awesome food, a nice place to eat, indoors or out, OR you prefer street side at a table to people watch, indoors for air conditioning, or there's ALSO - the back courtyard with shade and privacy, plenty of seating, fans for hot days or heat lamps for cold nights...
