“So glad I finally stopped by to try it out! I went with a lunch special 2 fish, onion rings and zucchini fries. Just wow! Best onion rings of my life!! The price was very reasonable! Its a small establishment so best for couples or small groups. It definitely has the vibe of the 90s I loved it! No crazy music playing. Just a good small diner. Look forward to coming back!“

“The couple that run this place are so kind and good at what they do. The food is amazing here and well priced. They have a great daily special for$9.50 as of 11/2025 that includes 2pc of fish, 3pcs fried zuchinni, cup of very good coleslaw and a healthy portion of fries. The batter on the fish and zuchinni is light and airy, very crispy and exactly what you crave when thinking of fish and chips! They have a great tartar sauce and malt vinegar to go with it. The one thing I really appreciate about this place is they automatically bring you everything you need to dress up your plate when eating in. A great place overall that just hits the nail on the head!!“

“I cannot get enough of this place. This is my favorite fish and chip spot in California. Their quality crispiness and taste is so much better than anything else I’ve had nearby and I’m not even a seafood person, yet I still find myself coming back here all the time. “Came here to watch FIFA USA game, the food was so good ! But the service was so amazing!!!! Staff kept checking in on us make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they put a lot of time and effort into their food. I recommend the enchiladas de mole and the margarita flight (passion fruit was my favorite flavor)! Overall a very welcoming environment, I will definitely be back. If you’re looking for a place to catch your favorite team play i definitely recommend coming here !“

“We were recommended to this place by some friends, so we decided to give it a try. We walked in and were immediately greeted, asked if we knew what we wanted. We said we needed a coyote of minutes, but the gentleman said no problem, but answered some questions we had. We ordered the chicken skins, hush puppies and the #1 with light meat (breast and a wing with potato wedges and a roll). The hush puppies were so flavorful, no need for a dipping sauce. The chicken skins were huge and also very flavorful. I finally got to my chicken because it was so hot, I'm not sure because I had the other stuff, but the chicken wasn't as flavorful as the other stuff I had. The potato wedges were good, very hot as well. We will be back! Good value for what you get!“

“Came here for a business dinner and was seated outside on a beautiful evening. Started off with a mix of oysters and the Cevichos. Both were excellent. Then the 5 of us went different directions for our mains, but my Squid Ink Linguini was top notch! Our server this evening was Chase K. He did excellent and we would love to come back here. “We were hungry and this was close with a good review. Come here if you are looking for something different than the regular Mexican fare. Pretty much everything on the menu is a unique blend of flavors. They feature three different mole sauces which were all good. I had the trabajo with my dish which had delicious flavor. So if you are looking for an adventure it's a good pick.“

“This was really a great experience. The burgers were thicker than any typical theme park burger. The burger was prepared perfectly, with care. This was not another one of many burgers slapped on a grill an cooked en masse. The chicken sandwich was also very taste and prepared just right. This meal was a real treat. The gentleman taking our order was very cheerful and engaged. We spoke briefly with the chef while he was wrapping up our order. He was engaging and fun also. After our delicious meal I walked back up to tell them how pleased we were! A great spot!“

“We created our own crab boil with medium heat. I have to say it was the best thing I’ve ever eaten!! Fried fish was fried crispy, crispy enough to add to the delicious garlic butter. Our son had the calamari and enjoyed it very much.

“I've been here several times and the food is always cooked perfectly and tastes great. I've ordered several different dishes, and my favorites have been their protein bowls and their battered fish tacos which are perfectly crispy. My only real complaint is that I wish it was spicier or that they offered a hot sauce (they might, but I've never seen it). I will say it does get a bit expensive, but I'm willing to pay for this quality and quantity of food. Also, the service has always been excellent and very helpful.“

“Used to enjoy coming here but recently there food has been declining. Chicken used to taste like it was actually grilled and would be very favorable. Now its taste frozen and has this wierd after taste. Their rice is a bit to chewy.Update* Huge improvement since last time I came. Which ever cook you have now, keep him. Food was amazing once again. Update: 3 years later and this place is still one of my favorite places 🥰
We ordered dinner from here today and last week. Food is always clean, light, and yummy! I love their bowls and tacos. My 5-year-old is addicted to their shrimp skewers!
Manager was awesome today. He service was outstanding!
By the way, portions are big compared to price! You feel full because of the amount of protein, and sometimes you have some food left in your bowl.

One thing I'd change about California Fish Grill is the plastic food containers... I believe healthy food should be served in healthier containers.
