“We had an absolutely lovely experience here! Came for my boyfriend’s birthday, everyone was friendly and attentive. Fantastic high end ambience. The food was almost too beautiful to eat and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. One of our guests said it was the best spaghetti he had ever had! The mushroom risotto was perfection. I had the Chilean sea bass and WOW! The salmon was also amazing. The other two guests had roasted chicken and hangar steak… I didn’t get to try them but they looked amazing and everyone cleaned their plate even though we were full lol! We will absolutely be back. “The food was absolutely delicious. My wife and I took our three month old baby there for breakfast one morning and everything was delicious! Especially the coffee! The place is very well designed with high-end tables and chairs and decorations. The overall feel of the building on the inside and out is well thought of plan and placed well

Our only complaint was our waitress. She seemed like she could give a rip about anything. When asking some simple questions about the items on the menu she practically rolled her eyes to go ask the chef some questions. When we were finished with our meal, she came back with the check and we asked her if we could have another coffee, and I swear that I was either pulling her teeth or torturing her by asking for another coffee. She kind of grunted and slowly walked back to get what we had asked for. Our whole overall experience would have been awesome if it was not for the service. I highly recommend finding new help.

Also, there were only six customers total in the entire place (including my wife, and I ) when we were there. She was not being overworked or overwhelmed…. she literally hated every moment of being there from what we could tell.“

“This has been my go-to lunch spot at work for for the last 8 mos (ever since I found out about it). One of the tastiest sandwich places and reasonably priced. Great, fresh ingredients, thoughtful menu items, and extremely friendly staff. Probably one of the most 'slept on' restaurants in the area. Would give 10 stars if I could.“

“Food was delish. Only issue was bones in my halibut. Beverage Service & table busing slow at times. Had to ask a couple of times for refills. One refill was poured into the wrong glass so soda and ice tea got mixed up but it was corrected. Avocado tempura appetizer was amazing. Desserts were delicious also crème brûlée and chocolate decadent cake. Hubby filet perfect, pizza large. Will definitely go back.“

“Reservation at 7pm. Arrived 6:56 and seated 7:22, not sure what's the point of reserving. Server took our order, then returned when our plate was finished. Never checked in on us, never refilled water. Kitchen forgot our appetizer but it was placed as confirm by our waiter. Clam chowder did have a big piece of undissolved flour. Food was great though, will be back.“

Everything on the menu is delicious, but my top picks are definitely the fish tacos and the goat cheese with pistachio so unique and full of flavor. And their steaks are always cooked perfectly and taste amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly, and the staff are always welcoming and kind. Every visit has been a great experience. “My Sister, Sister-in-law, and I are here from the East Coast. in looking for nice brunch places we found Bay Watch. We can’t wait express how great the food was: choices, freshness, and overall taste. We absolutely loved the dining experience. However, more importantly was the service. Our waiter was Tony, he must be the star of the establishment. He was engaging, funny, and clearly knows how to keep the customers happy.

Having Tony and enjoying the food only reinforces Baywatch being the best in San Mateo.“

“Very quant little restaurant that's a bit plain inside. There is sidewalk seating outside the front door.
I had the 2 egg + Italian sausage breakfast this day which came with country potatoes and toast or pancakes. It's about the high end of what I have been seeing at other restaurants $18, but the serving was a little smaller than most. They offered a small discount for cash payments.
It was hard to see the name and address on the building because of all the heaters and umbrellas over the outside seating.
The closest parking is on Jefferson because Broadway is closed to traffic. It is metered at $1/hr. You can purchase 15 min increments starting at a half an hour.“

“The burrito was okay. The good is the size — it’s pretty big. The bad part is the taste for me. The chicken had too much BBQ sauce and wasn’t fresh I think. I didn’t finish it because it was very mid. Nachos were good. I think if you are in between choices at that place, get something but burrito because my colleagues got other food and liked it more.“

“My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn was nothing short of fantastic. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and attentive, ensuring I felt right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.

The highlight of my stay, however, was the exceptional service at the hotel bar. José, the bartender, was amazing! Not only did he craft delicious drinks, but his friendly and genuine approach made every visit to the bar feel personal. His knowledge of cocktails and attention to detail were impressive, and he went out of his way to ensure guests were taken care of.

“Oak + Violet is one of the best restaurants I've dined at in years. The food is prepared with imagination and great care. They specialize in locally sourced food which adds so much flavor and freshness to their dishes. They offer a wide variety of wines, even if you order by the glass. The service was great too.“

“First time visiting Super Duper Burgers —
Smooth and intuitive experience. The kiosk made ordering easy. For a fast causal restaurant I was surprised my burger was cooked medium. Which is how I order them — when I can. Using the kiosk system — you can choose your burger’s cook temp—medium is the default, but you can opt for well-done if you ask. That’s rare in fast casual.

So, with that being said. The burger was legit. For a fast casual spot, the quality held up. Juicy, flavorful, and cooked medium as promised.

They are known for their Shakes & Ice Cream:
Didn’t try them this round, but the flavor lineup was tempting. Definitely will when I return for a visit.

The only drawback was the garlic fries—Overloaded with garlic, which made them soggy fast. Didn’t finish. Next time I order regular fries.

“My sister and I had lunch on July 28, 2025. The French fries are absolutely the best. Crisp with rosemary scattered on top. Two Ceasar salads, one with chicken and one with wild Pacific prawns. My sister said the chicken was cooked perfectly and had good flavor. The problem was with the salads. The dressing on the salad had no flavor at all. Who ever made must have forgotten the flavor ingredients. My prawns were cooked perfectly but no seasoning, just no flavor. Not sure what happened yesterday but just no taste and no seasoning of the dressing and prawns.“
