“I had the pleasure of eating here a week ago. The restaurant is the cleanest restaurant I've been in, even in the restroom. The plants and decor sets a vibe. Susan and her son made me feel so welcome. They allowed me to try different things, and Susan even gave me sushi to take with me. The food was fresh. Everything super tasty. I have no complaints and recommend this place to everyone. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort there. The love and energy are felt as soon as you walk through the door!“

“This is always our stop on the way out of town for breakfast/lunch before hitting the road. Staff is super friendly, especially the waitress who handles the outside tables. We love seeing her every time! They bring bowls of water for the dogs. While we usually sit outside because of the dogs, the inside is like a typical diner with tables, booths and counter service. The food is delicious, the prices are very reasonable and even sitting outside, they still come by regularly to check on us for refills or anything else we need. You can pay by card, but it does not give the option for tips, so bring cash for that as they deserve good tips. There is parking along the side of the restaurant, but you can also park on the street or on the dirt area across the alley.“

The two employees running the store while we were there were so friendly, patient, and were so helpful with recommending flavors.We’re from Texas and I preferred Fiesta Time’s ice cream over Blue Bell, if that means anything to anybody! If you visit you need to get the Hot Cheeto Nachos — I’ve been craving it ever since!

Parking: The business is located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking.

“Between breakfast, lunch, and dinner, we frequent here a few times a week. Not many good fast-food places in town, and McD’s seems to be more consistent. I like that they have these 5,6, or 7-dollar meals for when we want to be on a budget. Also, we’re old school, so we like that we get a live person to deal with, unlike some others who have gone to AI or a kiosk – hope that doesn’t change.“

“Visited The Dez on a trip from NJ and had my favorite meal here! The lentil and hummus on pita was delicious. I hate cooking and have already recreated it twice back home. I also had the Nancy's Fancy chocolate hazelnut gelato for dessert. Just the best meal. Thank you“

“This place is awesome and perfect for picking up food before or after hiking at Joshua tree! Yesterday I got the vegan breakfast burrito and it was so yum. Today I got vegan pesto pasta salad and a container of vegan choc chip cookies. They also have some good snacks and drinks. Def recommend checking it out! Updated from previous review on 2026-03-30“
