“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Mon Amour Cafe on our interview date. Do you have an affinity for crepes? Do you like getting a bang for your buck? Well, Westwood’s Mon Amour Cafe offers both and boy will you not be disappointed. Nestled in the heavily populated neighborhood close to UCLA, this build your own crepe shop offers a variety of recipes to fit your mood. Whether you’re looking for something savory, or want to give into your sweet tooth like I was (in which I opted for the Nutella, strawberry, banana and ice cream infused Broxton), vistors of all ages and backgrounds will be able to find something to enjoy. But that’s not the best part! Mon Amour is open late Friday-Sunday, so you have plenty of opportunity to nab yourself a treat after a show at the Regency Village Theater or Geffen Playhouse Theater, a sporting event at the college, or let’s be honest, after a long night of partying.“

“I was a little nervous at first because the barista—while very kind—didn't seem particularly knowledgeable about the various beans on offer. However, I was pleasantly surprised once I tasted the coffee. My single-origin pour-over was excellent!
The shop has a great vibe with ample space for hanging out or getting some work done. For those planning to stay a while, just a heads-up that because this is attached to a hotel, the restrooms aren't inside the shop; they are located through the pool area about a minute away. Definitely worth a visit for the quality of the brew.“
“I was lucky to be able to drink Surj coffee when Shahe did a pop up as part of the Palm Springs Film Festival’s lounge. The smell of the coffee was as good as the taste. I add cardamom to my coffee at home, but I never attain as rich a flavor as his brew. Luckily, you can even order his specially roasted beans. I can’t wait until he has his own place full-time. Thank you Shahe!!“

“I went to Koffi twice while I was at Palm Springs. My first visit I got something I usually don't get, matcha. I'm not a fan but maybe I never had good matcha before. Turns out, I'm just not a fan. Koffi used their ceremonial matcha, I had it with oatmilk and easy on the sweet. Perhaps my palate isn't refined enough but still tasted like grass to me.
On my second visit, I got my usual iced cold brew, no milk, no sugar. It was excellent! Hints of fruit if you ask me. I like it! 10/10 for the cold brew!
If you go out back they have a nice shady courtyard. It's a quiet and peaceful place to enjoy your drink.
Both times I went the baristas were friendly and helpful. Service was was quick. Will visit again when I'm in town.“

“Fast and friendly service but over priced coffee that is more milk than coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are good but about 10$ for about the same size as a Starbucks sandwich. All in all for 2 20 Oz. Coffees and 2 breakfast sandwiches I paid a little over 40 bucks ill stick with starbucks“
“Oh la la, perfection. Cute tiny shop that aroma entices you. We experienced the chocolate filled almond croissant and we were speechless as we wanted the taste to last forever. We also tried the apricot filled croissant as well as the raspberry filled and both were lovely. Go, enjoy, and you too will be dreaming of these taste of heaven.“

“We stopped in for a quick coffee on our way out of town. This is a small establishment, but dedicated parking available in the rear. They have a significant amount of outdoor seating, which is shared, yet a beautiful spot to relax. Coffee was delicious!“

“I herd about the coffee on KFI, I called to get some and talked to Cliff and he told me where I could find it in the desert. We had such a nice conversation on the phone that I want to meet him in person. His coffee is so good, as a life long drinker of store bought coffee, Cliff explained to me abut the importance of fresh roasted beans and the flavor they provide and now having some of his sunrise roast I can taste it and the difference that I was missing. Thanks for waking up my tastebuds. I’m now also a believer in Coachella Valley Coffee all because Cliff answered his phone himself on a Saturday morning. I highly recommend you try his coffee, you won’t be disappointed, you may be a new covert like me.“

“Frisky Business’s byline—“Where Cats, Community, and Kindness Come Together”—truly encapsulates not only its business philosophy; but also what it is like to visit here. Whether it’s for a refreshing coffee drink and tasty pastry; spending some time playing with in-house cats (for a reasonable fee); or attending one of the special events, it’s always a fun and enjoyable experience. On top of that (and reflecting the values of “Mr and Mrs Frisky”), there is a “pay it forward” board where one can purchase a drink or cat visit for someone who might need some support; and a pantry box where cat food donations can be dropped off for those who can use it or who feed community cats. I recommend Frisky Business to my local friends; and it’s a must “to do” when visitors come to town. It’s a great place owned by great people.“
