“As a brand new Palm Springs resident; it took me passing by a few times before I noticed this groovy little store/cafe tucked into a strip center near Ralphs Suoermarket. I am so glad i didn’t pass them by today, but instead stopped for healthy and filling lunch. The Veggie burger and side of potatoes were well seasoned, with a great flavor and quite filling. The staff was friendly and the store seemed to have a great mix of natural and healthy products. A great find. I’ll be back!“

We recently had a goodbye dinner at Al Dente Trattoria for a couple from our snowbird park. There were nine of us, and overall the food was good. Everyone ordered full meals, and the service was acceptable, especially considering the restaurant was relatively empty.

Before dining, we had all requested separate checks. What we did not realize was that the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity for parties over six people. Three people in our group noticed this and did not add an additional tip. Unfortunately, three of us did not catch it and ended up tipping more than 20% on top of the already-added 20%.

The next morning, after realizing what had happened, I called the restaurant right away. I explained the situation politely and asked if they could remove the extra tip from my bill, as I had also left cash. I was only speaking for myself, not the rest of the group. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and told me she would look into it and get back to me.

Unfortunately, I never heard back, and the charge went through unchanged. As a result, our waitress received approximately a 40% tip on three fairly large bills.

I fully understand that I should have noticed the automatic gratuity myself, and I take responsibility for that. However, once the restaurant was made aware that several guests had clearly made the same mistake, I had hoped they would show some goodwill and help resolve it. Since nothing was done and no follow-up was provided, I am rating this restaurant one star based on the way the situation was handled from an ethical and customer service standpoint.“

I thought the price was fine for what you get. I would come back again to try other items on the menu....“

“With the order to eat at home or show up in person, the food is always delicious! Never had a disappointing meal from here and will keep coming back. Something as simple as a salad is amazing when it’s some Gooy’s café! I think they probably have the best breakfast is around. The portion sizes are large and the price is fair. It might be more than I can eat, but then I usually end up splitting with my mom. If we’ve got room for a little something extra order or something else and eat what we can and take the rest home. I love this place more than I can say. Truly a culinary delight! If you haven’t tried, put it on your to-do list whether it’s breakfast brunch or lunch, you’ll never be disappointed. You might love some foods better than others, but you’ll never be disappointed.“

“Today, was our first visit to the Panera Bread. We were amazingly surprised that Italian sandwich is soooo delicious! Yes, it's kinda expensive, but DELICIOUS!!! Iced coffee as good as Starbucks, which we like the most. And cool strawberry lemonade is so good! Before we go, I read too many negative comments and tbh, I didn't expect anything good.
