“Our experience at The Counter was fantastic. We ended up being the only people during our seating and had an intimate meal shared with their team. All of the bites were creative and thoughtfully crafted. We did the beverage pairing and highly recommend it! We are still new to sake and enjoyed the wide variety of styles. Highly recommend for any special occasion type dinner.“

“I have always been a huge fan of their green chili bagels, however today was extra special. I went in to purchase doggie bagels for my pup's birthday and they asked me if my dogs were with me. After I responded yes they brought me two pop cups and added two extra doggie bagels on top to celebrate. It was a lovely surprise and my two pups loved them!“

Had purchased two bottles of Ba-tempt half sour pickles but sadly both had gone off😩but the young man at the counter quickly credited my card and was super helpful. This was at the Stanley Marketplace location- So as I really wanted some pickles I drove to the Five Points location and asked about the really, really green pickles that I remembered from Boston and Mary went into the back snd came out with one for me to try! “This place is straight out of my jersey girl dreams. I mentioned it was my first time here, and they gave me my coffee for free! That means a lot coming from the east coast where nothing is free. Such a fun atmosphere, I wish we had this place in New Jersey!! It was also heart warming to see latkes on the menu. I haven’t even eaten my food yet but needed to write this review.“

“Food in consistent with this chains standards.
Bagels are fine, slightly soft not like some of the hard and chewy ones in other places. (this is a plus to me and not to some)
Service is surprisingly decent for a national chain.
Space is clean, bright, and fresh (they are after all new as of early 2026)
Parking can be a changeling sometimes but usually just fine.
I miss the old local Bagel store this replaced as far as the quality of bagel but this is a fresh upgrade in the retail space.“

“I have been fortunate to have this store in our neighborhood, and the service along with good food is also great. Only available from early morning to early afternoon, so get here before the fresh baked crunchy bagels are gone. Also, if you need to cater a meeting or just make some family and friends happy. Get their boxed up bagels and coffee in a box. Alwsays a hit.“

For some reason, Google is refusing to update the address, as we have changed locations just recently this year.

We are actually located on 1700 Washington Avenue, inside the Beck Venture Center, on the main level.
For a catering order, we highly recommend that you call 24 to 48 hours of pick-up, as we have a limited amount of bagels. Especially during the summer.

Summer hours are from 7:30a to 1:30p
The rest of the school year is from 7:30a to 4:00p.
Monday thru Friday. Weekends we are closed.“

This bagel was FANTASTIC and the veggie cream cheese had legit crunchy chunks of veggies in it… I didn’t even know I wanted that in my cream cheese until today. “Editing my post since the owners reached out. And since I didnt have a negative experience, my personal buisness relies on reviews so the fact that they reached out and wanted to fix my issues, ill automatically give them a 5 star review.

I will say in response to their response. There is nothing you can do to please me with Bagels. Im an East Coast Bagel and Pizza snob. Ive had some of the best there is in the country. There is no chain alive that can compete with that.

With that said. I still go to einsteins now and then. The price is good, the bagels are decent. Clearly the owners are great, and the atmosphere was great as was the service of the staff. So if you never had real NY Bagels, try Einsteins and you wont be disappointed.“

“I went to Einstein to get a free breakfast sandwich for my birthday, and I ordered a sandwich that was not included in the reward. It caused some problems in the computer, and they ended up giving me the sandwich I originally wanted and my iced tea for free 😭❤️ I have only been here twice, but I am their newest regular. Everyone there is so sweet.“
