Loved our dinner here. They accommodated my GF needs and the sushi was delicious. Best part is sitting at the bar and getting to know all the folks behind the counter. Definitely recommend!
Sushi is good, about the same as other sushi restaurants in Boulder, but better presentation of food. What separates them is a unique selection of sushi, beyond the standard offerings that you cannot find in most places. Service is one person running the small dining area, so it depends on who you get, normally it is good. Atmosphere is casual, but if busy, it can get loud and cramped. Blofish Sushi offers great food, including sushi rolls, and a good beer selection. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere, with a sushi bar and a clean, tidy space that offers a nice view of the mountains. The owner, Curtis, is extremely knowledgeable and the other employees are also extremely friendly, making the experience enjoyable. The fish is delicious and thoughtfully sourced, of the highest quality. The ambience is really cute and the atmosphere is so enjoyable. The chefs are happy to recommend amazing fish you've never seen anywhere else, including the popular Fois gras sushi and black miso cod plate. While service can sometimes be uneven, it remains a welcoming place for everything from a happy hour drink to omakase. The restaurant has unique touches like a heated toilet seat, adding to the overall comfort. The space can get crowded if more than a few people are dining, but overall, Blofish Sushi provides a friendly, relaxed environment with good food and a nice mountain view.
