“Awesome beer and pizza on the cheap“
“The service provided by Danette was awesome. The lunch menu was full of very interesting choices all made from scratch nothing is frozen. We selected the Colorado Cobb Salad, Blackened Shrimp Tacos and Soy Glazed Salmon Salad. Eating our selections in an establishment from the 1800 's was over the top. The plating of each selection combined with the taste is truly an amazing treasure. If you're up in Central City do make your way here for some GREAT FOOD AND BEVERAGE.“

“We are visiting Black Hawk from Minnesota. We stopped in to JKQ BBQ to have dinner. We were seated in the bar area. Our waitress was probably the best waitress we have had. We were also celebrating our son’s birthday he found out they had tres leches cake which is his favorite. This waitress makes it herself for this restaurant. This was seriously the best we have had, it wasn’t too sweet, the flavor was on point , whipped cream from scratch, just purely amazing. She found out it was his birthday and brought him a huge cinnamon roll with a happy birthday on it. She was not just doing her job. She went above and beyond to make our experience fabulous. The gentleman singing and playing guitar sang happy birthday to my son as well. It takes a lot to make a 17 year old boy gitty! And he sure was all smiles and giggly. Last but not least, the food was absolutely phenomenal! We all tried something different and every single thing was absolutely delicious!“

“The coolest and cleanest dive bar in town. Super friendly service with a great selection of drinks. Cozy atmosphere with a cool view of the waterfall and waterwheel in town. Would highly recommend!! Loved supporting this small, local bar. When we visited they had just celebrated their 9 year anniversary in business and we respect that!!! Thank yall!!“

“second time giving a review on this place. the first time we had burgers and I wrote a review for that last time. this time we went there again for Their pizza. before we even made it through the door they had our drinks ready for us. which was awesome! we waited about 13-15 min for our pizza. not long at all. by far the best pizza I've ever ate! it's cook by fire and not regular ovens which I love. I normally am not a big fan of crust on pizza but their pizza crust had a small crunch but soft and it was delicious. so good that we literally ate our pizza and ordered a second one to go. another 15min. again not long at all. we ended up getting to taste a meatball one of them made. that was delicious too. the Marinara was the creaminess pasta sauce I've tried. most have a tomato pasty texture BUT NOT THIS. I dont like meatballs or meatball subs but these made me want more and try it on a sub. we will be coming here every time we come back to Colorado. I dont care if it's a 15 minute drive or a 2hr one. definitely worth trying and worth going. a major hidden gem in Colorado. I wish they would open a restaurant in Michigan.“

“I can't believe they offer a $7.50 lunch special, I haven't seen that price for over 20 years. I ordered Singapore noodles (not from their lunch menu), the amount of meat in the dish is abundant, for a very affordable price, and I will be back whenever I drive through the town.“

“As one ventures into the world of Blackhawk, known for its dazzling casinos and the allure of luck, Timberline Steakhouse stands as a delightful contrast to the whirring slot machines and card tables. It's a culinary haven where the gamble isn't on the menu, but rather in choosing what to savor from their exquisite selection.During my visit, I placed my bet on the A5 Japanese Wagyu steak, a decision that paid off handsomely. For the uninitiated, A5 is the highest grade given to Japanese Wagyu, a breed of cattle renowned for its rich marbling and tender texture. This marbling not only enhances flavor but also ensures a melt-in-the-mouth experience, much like hitting the jackpot on a lucky spin. The Wagyu steak at Timberline was a masterclass in flavor and texture. Seared to perfection, it balanced the richness of the fat with a delicate, beefy taste that was both luxurious and grounding. It was a symphony of taste, each bite reminding me why Wagyu, especially of the A5 grade, is held in such high esteem.Timberline's ambiance and service were on par with its food, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere away from the clatter of chips and the shuffle of decks. The staff were knowledgeable and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of the meal was tailored to perfection. In summary, while Blackhawk might be a place to roll the dice, dining at Timberline Steakhouse is a guaranteed win. Their A5 Wagyu is not just a meal; it's an experience that stays with you long after the last bite. Whether you're riding high from the tables or looking to indulge in a sure thing, Timberline is a bet you'll be glad you made.

“When you been on the trail, with some dust on your brim. Dismount that trusty steed or Subaru and saddle up to the Bar for a cocktail before supper or a hard night of gambling. This place looks like a Movie Set except it's real as the spurs on your feet. Let's ride!“
