“We visited Guard & Grace because it is a Michelin inspector recommended restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice. The food is awesome! Just a bit salty for me. Not many restaurants season a fish 24-hour ahead of time, the black cod is really tasty! Filet Mignon was also really good, loved the desert as well!“
“This place is amazing and I would recommend to all who love poke and want to support a small local business. The brothers who own the shop are running the FOH (front of house), engaging with their guest, explaining how and where they source their ingredients, and sharing their passion behind what they do. They were super friendly, had great recommendations, and it made me appreciate each bite all the more because I knew the ingredients were mostly locally sourced and quality foods. The mix of the flavors was so good and it was the perfect amount of food, not leaving me hungry or grossly full. Go here if you want a unique, quality, local experience with delicious poke.“

“Great patio space for nice days. We went on Sunday later in the afternoon and there were plenty of open tables. We enjoyed fresh fish and a flavorful roll. I drank an iced and my husband got the margarita. My only complaint was that the margarita seemed small due to the glass being filled up just halfway. The restaurant is in a fantastic area! Definitely recommend visiting to eat/drink.“

“Had the queso Birria tacos. They where so good! The tacos alone are great, with the consome there some of the best I've ever had! Also had a plate with chicken, steak, bacon wrapped shrimp and it was extremely good too. Pictured is birria tacos and a smothered tamale. I think you can get any food here and it will be good; However the service though good has a downside of basically everyone speaks Spanish only so we had difficulty trying to get corn tortillas for the plate and they kept bring out flour ones. Maybe they where out of corn and where trying to play it off I don't know but very small issue for how good the food is, I will definitely go back!“
“What a fun adventure! I had never done something like this before. We shared a comb boil, which did not disappoint! We got the Cajun seasoning with no spice, which was wonderful. A good amount of sea food and a side variety. The flavors melded well together. Definitely will be back to try other seasonings and increase the spice level.“

“It took me four years to find this little place, and oh how I wish I would have found it sooner!I'm always on the hunt for great dumplings, and New China Cafe delivers. The Crispy Fried Dumplings are amazing. The best I've found so far. And the sauce that come with them? I could drink a whole cup of it, it's that good.I also get their Chicken Lo Mein. It always comes out hot and fresh. The vegetables are crisp, the chicken moist, and the noodles have just the right chewiness and the flavor is spot on.I've also tried their Pork Fried Rice and the Cream Cheese Wontons. Both are very good as well, but Lo Mein and Dumplings are my go-to.It's carry out or delivery only, but every time I'm in, they're busy with orders. Despite this, I always get my order quickly and piping hot. The staff are friendly and it's always nice to have a quick conversation with them.I highly recommend New China Cafe.“

“Jax offered a decent meal experience albeit pricey. Staff was all very welcoming and friendly. While the bar area had ample staffing there seemed to be only two servers and one assistant for the entire restaurant which made interaction with the server almost non existent. That stated the overwhelmed server we had was friendly the few times we saw her and was doing the best she could. The food was decent but they love their spices and the MauiMaui was served with a paste that had a nip to it that was a bit much for my taste. The bread, served in a butter oil type sauce, was very good but again the sauce was strongly spiced. The chocolate oil cake and Ceaser salad were average. On the flip side the crab cake was excellent with chunks of crab. My wife enjoyed her salmon dish. The atmosphere was a bit loud and the air was set colder than it needed to be. Overall while I was glad to have tried Jax I'm not sure I'd go back as it did not seem up to the very high prices they have. For the prices I had hoped for a higher level experience. A better experience can be found elsewhere at more reasonable prices.“
“Food was really good. Mango margarita was excellent. Had two. Friend loved the house margarita and couldn't get enough of the refried beans. Thought they had a smokey taste and raved about it. My friend and I don't speak Spanish. Staff (at the time of service) knew limited English so they didn't understand that I was trying to cover my friend's drink. If someone is trying to get details about an item or tell the staff about their food restrictions, they might want to ask for someone who understands English, use a translation app or learns Spanish before going. I would visit again.“

At first I was a little confused by the menu but fortunately it was explained to me and I understood that it was possible to customize for one person if part of your party did not like fish and you did? Our server was helpful and talked about anything we (I) didn’t understand in the menu. Prices were in keeping with what I have to pay for a decent night out these days, but if you customize your meal it doesn’t have to cost $50+ necessarily. She was patient and very positive about the food but it was the way you could tell she really cared about the shop and the patrons.I overheard another couple talking to her at the bar and they were telling her that they had a bad experience before and wanted to give it another try. “Best five start seafood I've had in Colorado! It was fresh crab and tasty. We are three types of crab. It was served quickly. I'm not a fan of corn and potatoes so we didn't eat that. We ate all the crab though. Server was very good and has seen the movie Waiting! It's hard with competition like Blue Sushi Sake Grill just a few blocks away -- but here's how I think they stack up. I wish there were more fish/sashimi items on happy hour here (not just the tower and the basic rolls) -- but I also really like the quality of the fish here and availability of things like toro (tuna belly) and yellowtail belly -- neither of which Blue Sushi has. The chef's choice sashimi is a little pricy at $50, but the mega lobster roll is totally worth the $36 if you consider the entire lobster tail inside. Some deets and prices below... LUNCH - Mon-Fri 11am-2pm DINNER - Sun-Thu 4-10pm / Fri & Sat 4-11pm HAPPY HOUR is daily 4-6pm and includes $3 off signature cocktails, $5 hot or cold house sake, $5 Japanese draft beers, $5 house wine, 12 sushi towers (salmon and/or tuna), $5-12 hot bites, and 2 basic rolls for $18.
