“we were in the area for a mini vacation (my sister and i). initially we were walking to the brunch nearby but as we were passing by, we changed our minds and went in. after seeing the cowboys game on, we sat down near the TV it was on. I asked if it was possible to change the TV behind my sister as well since we will be sitting across from one another. it was playing the Olympics races and nobody was watching (1 booth other than us and 4 people bar top). after it was changed, we ordered our food and drinks. a kitchen staff joked about the cowboys with friendly bantar before returning to the kitchen. shortly after, the general manager (I was unaware at the time) came from the kitchen and changed it again. I said excuse me several times to him and got 0 acknowledgement. the bartender shrugged his shoulders and looked away from me. I spoke to Anthony as there wasn't much time left on the game. Anthony attempted to talk to him and he said there were people watching the game. the game which was not put on until AFTER we requested the change. while I'm not one to sweat small stuff, I work in customer service and with 6 mins left on a preseason game, what's the harm? at least acknowledge me when I speak to you. let's come to an agreement. instead, I turned my chair around and waited to eat the appetizers sitting behind me on the table until the game was over (a whopping 4 mins) I don't get time to catch many games, was on vacation and wasn't being rude about it. i love sports and trust, I would've been stoked to catch the baseball game he changed it to AFTER the football game. and I would've been the only customer paying attention then too. so finally I was loud and thanked Anthony for his friendly demeanor and caring about his customers. I said it very loudly since I could not get acknowledgement when speaking politely and directly to him. what do ya know? now we hear me in the kitchen and have plenty to say. with music playing and food being prepared no less! I enjoyed the food. probably the best wings I've had in ages! the beer cheese soup was delicious. I enjoyed our waiter's customer care. without him, we would've walked out. food is top notch. caring about customers, not entirely priority. we don't visit often so it isn't a huge loss that we won't be returning because of one person. Definitely ask for Anthony if you do go!“

“Wonderful restaurant in McGregor Square in Denver. Food is fresh and delicious. My family stayed at the attached hotel for a week and ate there multiple times and tried various dishes. All of them were delicious (fried chicken sandwich, bacon egg and cheese, chorizo and potatoes, and smash burger, and chicken and biscuits, cronuts). The restaurant is bright and airy. Servers were really attentive. Prices were fair based on the generous portions. Can definitely share most dishes.“

A clear multitasker, serving and behind the bar. I’d come back just for her level of service but the food is not to be ignored either. “I’m from Chicago and love gourmet dining in that city. Imagine my surprise when I entered the wine bar at Satchel’s with a group of friends to be seated for a wedding luncheon that began with the first of seven tasting courses of food that was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! Andrew, the chef/owner, is not only innovative with ingredients, but he and his staff really care about their customers’ pleasure and comfort. If I am ever able to return to the Denver area again, Satchel’s will be my first go-to destination. The luncheon was 1st class all the way.“

“Be aware they are now charging a “service charge”. It’s was not noted on the menu nor did the server inform us of the charge. The only reason I found out is I requested a printed receipt. The receipt recommended an additional tip be between 2-7% on top of the charge. Yet when I paid the machine prompted an additional 15 or 18% tip so I tipped 18 even tho our service was bad cuz I use to be a server. The unfortunate part is I didn’t look at the receipt for over a week after I visited. I’m very disappointed that I’m being charged a “service fee” and at no time was it ever brought to my attention that this is a new thing.“

“We ordered the “walk with us” & it was sensational!

The service was wonderful and we were even able to chat with the chef. There were flavors and textures I never knew existed. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted absolutely delicious.

We both left full and happy with the selection of appetizers and sides as well as the serving sizes for two.

note the 22% service charge wasn’t disclosed prior to receiving the check… but if you aren’t able to tip you probably shouldn’t be eating out.“

They have a large variety and their cocktails are very good - specifically their martinis. Staff is great. Game day deals are great. Vibes are great. No notes!“

“This place is amazing. I had the Bison Delmonico ribeye. Talk about melts in your mouth steak. I had the strawberry margarita on the rocks. It had real strawberries inside of it. ( I had seen an ad for Noodles & Co for Beef Stroganoff with cheese) Knowing that This place has it I decided to come here instead. Best Stroganoff I've had in years. We also decided to sit in the bar area. Great Service from Angela as well. She is very attentive. Great selection on food and great discounts for seniors 60 plus. We will be going back more often.“
