“This was such an excellent meal and all around experience!! 😍 we had the pan seared chicken dumplings that had excellent flavor, the lentil soup was super light and tasty. I got the korma with lamb and the flavor was rich and had depth, highly recommend it. My friend had the Sherpa combo that had tikka masala chicken, curry, and the rice pudding and it was all fantastic! My favorite was the saag, super flavorful without being overly spicy and it mixed well with everything. The mango lashi is an absolute must try as well. 10 stars highly recommend this restaurant!“

“Best bakery in Colorado Springs, hands down! Their bread is amazing. It's chewy on the middle and fabulously crunchy on the outside. Our favorites are the jalapeno cheddar buns, the fruit and fennel buns (only available on Saturday), the delicious and olive-filled fugasse, and the multi-seeded loaf. But wait, there's more! They also have a selection of pre-prepared sandwiches and pastries. Our favorites are the potato and chili pies in the pastry crust (kind of like empañadas) and the salmon cream cheese baguette sandwich. Yum! There are plenty of others to choose from as well, but get there early! On Saturdays, lots of the good stuff is sold out by noon. They are open Wednesday thru Saturday and we've only been there on Saturdays. Some of our favorites have been sold out before and some may not be available on weekdays, which is definitely an indication of the quality and deliciousness!“

And some great drinks I just tried the “don’t drink the yellow snow“ on their specialty cocktail menu, it’s made with a local distillery’s Rocky Mountain Sunshine vodka - which is lemon and wildflower honey. So good! The breakfast burrito is served all day, and it’s delicious. Very much recommend this place.“

“This Korean restaurant is seriously a hidden gem. The food is so good we’re already planning what to reorder next time. We got the LA galbi ribs, bulgogi chapchae, and tteokbokki noodles, and every single dish came out perfect.
The LA galbi ribs were the star. Super tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. That sweet and savory marinade was cooked into the meat just right, with a slight char that made them even better. You can tell they know exactly what they’re doing with those ribs.
The bulgogi chapchae was just as impressive. The glass noodles were cooked perfectly, not mushy, not dry, just right. The beef was flavorful and balanced so well with the vegetables. Every bite had that rich, slightly sweet Korean flavor that makes you want to keep going back for more.
And the tteokbokki noodles were incredible. The sauce had the perfect kick, spicy but not overwhelming, with so much depth in flavor. The rice cakes were soft and chewy in the best way.
Everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. You can taste the quality in every dish. If you’re craving authentic Korean food that actually delivers on taste, this place does not disappoint. Definitely one of those spots you leave already thinking about your next visit.“

“We went for the Thanksgiving buffet, overall the food was very good, the choice of vegetables not so good.
The rolls were hard rolls, dinner rolls would have been better. The pumpkin pie tasted and wiggled like it was made with gelatin. The churos were to die for, would love to know where they get them.
We were seated in the very back, up the steps in a room that reminded me of an army mess hall, decor nonexistent. I did not like have to maneuver through people waiting in the buffet line to dish up their food to find the hostess station to check in, very confusing. Overall we had a good time with family, but the ambiance left something to be desired. We really appreciated the wait staff, they were very attentive, and thank them for working on the holiday so I did not have to cook.“

Schnitzel Fritz – Widefield/Security, Colorado

My pregnant daughter was craving vinegary German food, so we decided to try Schnitzel Fritz — and I’m so glad we did! We’ve officially tried all the German restaurants around here (Edelweiss, Uwe’s, etc.), and this one takes the win for freshness and authenticity.

Edelweiss lost me when I found metal in my food, and Uwe’s was serving steamed frozen vegetables, which is just… no thanks. 😅 But Schnitzel Fritz? Total opposite. Everything here is fresh, flavorful, and clearly made from scratch — no out-of-the-bag veggies in sight!

Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s a small mom-and-pop “hole in the wall” restaurant, and honestly, it’s worth every penny for the quality and care they put in.

Now, for those complaining that “German food is too vinegary” — y’all just don’t understand traditional German cuisine. That tangy flavor is part of its history and charm!

The only small thing I’d tweak is the cucumber salad — the dressing is so good (a homemade dill and cream cheese mix, NOT ranch 😋), but the cucumbers could be drained a bit more so it’s not watery. Still, the flavor is amazing and it comes with fresh homemade bread that’s absolutely delicious. 🍞

Their desserts are awesome, too — and the people running the place are super sweet and welcoming.

All in all, this spot met every one of my daughter’s pregnancy cravings and then some! We’ve already been back a couple of times, and I’m sure it won’t be our last stop. ❤️“
