“Why have I not discovered this place sooner? My husband and I went today at the recommendation of a friend. It was fantastic. We split a rack of ribs. They were meaty, smoky, lean -- excellent in every way. We loved the original/traditional bbq sauce. For sides, I had the hand cut fries which may be the best fries in Denver. I love fresh, not frozen, fries, and they were seasoned perfectly. My husband raved about the green chili and the potato salad he had. This place is going into at least a tie for our favorite bbq restaurant in the area!“

They had obvious pride in their food. They offered us a sample of AMAZING Mac and cheese and perfect lil Carmel puffs with peanuts. Fresh fish and greens, and a little bit of pineapple that gave it a nice flavor. The rice had a little too much butter I thought, especially for this dish. It's a big portion size, I could hardly finish it all! Good dish to share with an app if you're not overwhelmingly hungry. Hubby had the wagyu burger, came perfectly cooked and the bacon was so tender, and the fries were crispy and delicious.“

We ordered 3 of the big sampler plates and that was plenty of food for our group. They were out of Ribs and Brisket which was super sad and the reason why I'm giving only 4 stars on the food. The pulled pork was very good, the burnt ends were fantastic, and the sausage was incredible. The turkey was fine but not remarkable. I'll have to come back to try the Ribs and Brisket another time. I had dinner on a Tuesday evening, went for the brisket and ribs combo with the vinegar-based sauce. Really liked that before they took your order the server brought out a small tray of dips for you to taste each sauce and find the one that suited what you wanted. The brisket was moist and went really well with the sauce, and the ribs were actually hard to eat because the meat weighed enough that it pulled itself off the bone.First time I’ve ever had a sconut as well.
