“I was born and raised in KCMO, where BBQ is taken seriously. We have made it our mission to find the best BBQ in the Thornton/Denver area. We've gone to a lot of places, but lo and behold, the best BBQ came to us when we discovered this little gem of a food truck parked up the street from us. Everything we have had here has been top notch. The meats are infused with a wonderful smokey flavor, and seasoned/sauced perfectly. The beans are some of the best I have had. Mario is one of the nicest, friendliest people you could ever want to meet. If you're looking for some exceptional BBQ I highly recommend this truck.“

It’s actually been a little while since I’ve been over there, but a new coworker who has recently moved to Denver and lives in Highlands, asked me about restaurants and I recommended you. He loves it! Recently I swung by to take the Post up on the fantastic coupon offer for a free pulled pork sandwich. It is quite a distance from where I live (Aurora), but definitely worth the drive. “So me and my husband have a regular Friday night date night and we usually go to Dickie’s barbecue. It’s been our favorite for years now. But last Friday night Dickies was Gone. A friend of mine had mentioned this new place called Mission barbecue and said that it was really good so we went there . Well., Dickies is no longer our favorite.. Mission BBQ is so much better. The food, the service all of it. Regina helped us out and she was so sweet. The food is a little bit different than dickies so we weren’t quite sure what to order for her recommendations or spot on! We are going to try to find out if Dickie‘s may be had moved, but now we’re not even gonna bother. This is our new Friday night date night spot so see you next Friday Regina.!“

“My daughter, her boyfriend, and I had the pleasure of dining here recently for the first time, and from start to finish, everything was exceptional. There wasn't a single dish we ordered that we didn’t love. The meats were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the sides were absolutely delicious, each one complemented the meal perfectly. The cucumber salad was my favorite and both my daughter and her boyfriend ordered the Mac and cheese and it was the topic of conversation at our table. They loved it!!!!

The service was warm and attentive. The atmosphere was just as enjoyable welcoming, relaxed, and well-suited for a great evening out.

We recently stopped into Elevated Q for lunch without knowing much about it, and I must say, it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. Discovering that it is a locally owned BBQ smokehouse made the experience even better.

From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the new General Manager, Chris, whose friendliness and hospitality immediately stood out. His welcoming demeanor set the tone for the entire visit. The restaurant itself features a well-executed industrial rustic design, creating a comfortable yet stylish atmosphere. The bar seating is especially inviting, with a great view of the TVs, making it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the game.

Chris also proved to be highly knowledgeable behind the bar. He crafted a whiskey drink that was exceptional—so much so that, had it not been lunchtime, we likely would have stayed much longer to try more of his recommendations.

For food, we were introduced to a “secret menu” item: garlic butter buffalo wings. These were outstanding and, in my opinion, deserving of a permanent spot on the menu. The loaded BBQ fries were another highlight—rich, flavorful, and truly satisfying.

I ordered the Pitmaster Platter, featuring pulled pork and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Both meats were well-prepared and enjoyable, though the pulled pork could benefit from a bit more seasoning. The spicy BBQ sauce, however, added a great kick and complemented the dish nicely. My wife chose the loaded baked potato, which was generously portioned and topped with brisket that was incredibly tender—practically melting with each bite.

Overall, Elevated Q clearly knows what it’s doing when it comes to both food and hospitality. As a lighthearted note, Chris did make one “mistake”—he didn’t have the Masters on the big screen—but we’ll let that slide.

We look forward to returning soon. And while we didn’t manage to take photos this time (the food was too good to wait), that just gives us another reason to come back.“

“Uncle Henry’s continues to fire on all cylinders, maintaining its place as the best fresh, authentic Szechuan/fresh roasted duck & pork Restaurant in the north suburban area. Every dish we’ve tried for more than a year has been richly flavored, well executed, and served at an ideal temperature. The husband & wife team who run the place are gifted chefs, as well as friendly, helpful, and very hard working, as is the rest of the small staff. This storefront restaurant has now become solidly and regularly very busy, which it well deserves. Try it, and try multiple dishes on and off the menu. “Great service Took my mom there tonight for dinner and the our waiter John was amazing he was attentive friendly cute helpful fast. Comped our potato skins cause of the wait which wasn’t that bad, he had to go boxes ready without asking refills, even lids for the butter and sauces. “From the moment we sat down, everything about this place exceeded expectations. The staff. The atmosphere. Just the smell of bbq when we opened the door gave it a 5-star. We had BBQ ribs, catfish, shrimp gumbo, hushpuppies, mac and cheese, and fried okra—and every single dish was phenomenal. The BBQ ribs were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, falling right off the bone. The catfish was perfectly fried with a crisp, golden coating and flaky, well-seasoned meat inside. The shrimp gumbo was rich and comforting, with deep, authentic and creole flavor that represented the cuisine from back home to a T. The sides were just as impressive. The hushpuppies were warm and perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and moist on the inside. The mac and cheese was creamy and indulgent, and the fried okra was seasoned just right with a satisfying crunch. You can tell these owners truly understands its cuisine—everything was done right. If you’re looking for authentic bbq, seafood or comfort food, this spot is an absolute must. We’ll definitely be back!
