Experience Larkspur's Mexican food at these fantastic spots.
“Although it is a small place, it is packed with fun! The fajitas are great, fresh Guacamole and good Margaritas. The Owners are always there, and everything runs perfectly!Kid-friendliness: Always kids eating there, the decorations are just fun, and give kids plenty of things to look at.“
“I honestly thought that this was a fast food place when I would pass it but it is actually an upscale Mexican restaurant! My husband and I had an amazing date night here and it was the perfect place to enjoy dinner after a stressful day. We both ordered margaritas that were balanced but strong. You can tell they use quality tequila and fresh lime juice for their drinks. After ordering our drinks they brought us out fresh chips and salsa. The chips were warm and you can tell they were fried in house because of their texture. For diner I ordered one of the combo plates that had a little bit of everything. It came with your choice of soup or salad and I choose their delicious pozole. The food was amazing but what truly impressed us was the service. I have never had such attentive service before and the staff were amazing.“
“Tamales, fish tacos and the fish plate were all great! All were hearty portions and cost seemed be reasonable. $8 for 2 fish tacos is a great deal since each covered 2 tortillas and were smothered in the fixings with nice slices of avocado to boot.Fish is heavy on the breading, but a great taste.Tamales were hot and large. Much better size than the ones you get at the farmers market on Saturdays in Monument. We don’t do a lot of food trucks, but they have a nice setup. You order, and they provide a pager so you can wait in your car. Food was all piping hot when we got home which was about 3 miles away where they were parked at the Santa Fe trailhead in Monument.Warning - The green salsa is quite hot. Maybe ask for an alternate needed.Definitely will visit again, if only to try the other salsas. ?“
“I love this place! Everything is always really flavorful, but I love adding the hot sauces. My favorite server Allie always makes sure everything is perfect! Wish they would bring in a vegan taco with tofu or something, but they always make do with what they have on hand.Kid-friendliness: High chairs, quesadillas, beans and rice, flexible and fast.“
“Best place in Monument for home-style Mexican food. The Pozole is perfect for a cold Colorado day, and the margaritas are, hands down, the best on the front range. Also has a wonderful patio and many covered outdoor seating options when the weather is nice and a beautiful view of Mount Herman.“
“We love Arlene's Beans. The taquitos and stacked enchiladas are my favorite. The margaritas are the best and the service is great. We get our food pretty quick no matter what time of day we visit. It's pretty good for a fast casual restaurant.“
“A hole in the wall place!! We absolutely loved everything about this place! The tamarind wings were SO GOOD. I loved the margarita flight. They offer Maggie Margaritas for kids here, which are non alcoholic. I had my first molcajete here and it arrived to the table still boiling!! Very family friendly restaurant. My kids loved all their food too. We had such a nice server. Did not catch his name but he was very friendly. The menu is also very beautiful as well. The food portions are larger. Spent about $100 (without tip) for a family of 5, kids drinks, kids meals, adult beverages, wings, and one molcajete! Not all of the menu is pictured here. There is definitely something for everyone here!“
“These are, no joke, the best tacos I have ever had! These people are so sweet and fast. I have had their stacked enchiladas which reminded me of my grandpa’s enchiladas. The first time I ever tried this food, I literally cried because it brought me right back to childhood. Everything is always fresh and made to order, they also serve breakfast. They have a location in Castle Rock and one in Aurora. Get there as fast as you possibly can to support this small business!“
“It's a great spot for a great plate of nachos. It's well priced, the staff are friendly, and the food is fresh and delicious. It's no wonder Yolanda's has been able to survive the rapidly changing landscape in Castle Rock for so long.“
“Perfect name for the perfect Spur of the Moment or planned place to visit! We chose this place as a place to go for St Patrick’s Day and it was great. The steak is great and I Loved the shrimp and of course have to have truffle fries if on the menu. The serve a great Guinness! We had the pleasure of Amanda serving us and she was on spot, courtiers and so fast! - so if you want the meat service in the house ask for her!She showed up every time My drink was empty and had to try another special.Hate to give away a hidden gem but they deserve the props!Thank you for a great time! Will be back with the family for the pool tables and shuffle board tables!Thank you for a great time!“
