“This restaurant has great food and great location. I had pad Thai chicken and beef. The first night I requested spicy chicken, and it wasn’t nearly as spicy as I wanted. The next night I tried the pad Thai spicy beef and asked for “extra spicy”. Now this was made perfectly with a ton of heat! Great flavor, very authentic flavors and friendly people“

“’m always looking for some place different to eat, to stay, to do, when we travel. I’m not sure how I even found this restaurant but I’m sure part of the attraction was a black owned business in Aspen. MAWA’s Kitchen is like striking gold in the mountains of Colorado. Every dish was excellent, from the Brussel Sprout Caesar to the Two Roots Sautéed Greens, pure heaven in your mouth. For our entrees Conrad chose the Red Snapper. It was served on top of some Zaalouk, which is a Moroccan salad of cooked eggplant and tomatoes. Delicious. I chose the West African Gumbo. The flavors meshed together perfectly and had a little spicy Andouille sausage to kick it up a notch. The servers were great and they even gave me a dessert for my birthday. I would definitely recommend this for a great dining experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stopped by for brunch today, another excellent meal. Got to meet Mawa. Such a great place. “Pricey, but worth it! J-Bar was recommended to us by local friends and we loved it. A fun stop during our day trip to Aspen. The place has plenty of history and has been a social spot in Aspen for generations. The Old West vibe is still very much alive, which is rare in a city that has more hipster spots than anything else. My partner and I both enjoyed our cocktails. We sat at the bar, but there were plenty of tables too.

Service was decent, if a little inconsistent. Our first server was fine but seemed somewhat checked out, while the second one randomly brought us bar snacks around our second drink (nuts, and they were delicious). Left me wondering why the first server didn’t do the same.

The cocktails are pricey, $20+ with a 22% gratuity automatically added to the check, but it IS Aspen after all. The local beers were fairly priced, which was a nice surprise.“

“As far an on-mountain “fast-food” goes, this place is up there! The Apple Strudel, which was highly recommended, was good, but could have been warmer. I had the hot-dog, very good and bigger than a normal hot-dog. Staff were friendly and the service was fast. Hard to find seating during prime lunch hours, but we managed to find a good seat. Views are fantastic.“

“It is with great pleasure I am able to successfully report that there is a fantastic lunch burrito in town. After a ten year search across the roaring fork valley for a quick, easy and tasty lunch burrito - Louis Swiss Bakery has really done it. Under the stewardship of incredible leaders, this team was able to synthesize a perfect twenty bite, take away chicken burrito which is finely complimented with a nice green salsa. Do I have any recommendations for how they can take this further? Of Course, and the phone lines remain open, but I don't want the potential for future progress to impede what a herculean accomplishment this burrito really is. Rice, black beans, a little cheese, some peppers and chicken, are composed into a well wrapped tortilla which is quickly seared (thank God), and double wrapped in both paper and tin foil for secure transportation. It's easy to grab, fits well in the hand, and can be picked up for the hot case at a moments notice. In the busy land of July in Aspen, this convenience is not only a privilege but a necessity. Although I do have a professional background in Burrito reviewing, I'll have to throw out the California oriented taqueria playbook here as elevation and a restrictive food shipping environment weight heavily in my judgement. You're right, we won't get the same flavor notes as Puentez Taqueria or El Farolito, but we have to work with what we have, and measure by local standards, and by these local standards along with the above outlined metrics of QUICK, EASY, and TASTY BURRITOS - Louis Swiss has accomplished a tour de force Lunch burrito which I will be a happy consumer of, for years to come.
(As a quick aside, perhaps we can talk about adding some guacamole, and or pico de gallo? )“

“Acquolina has a relaxed and vibrant ambience with a great outside patio area. It's a combination of the other AHG restaurants Duemani, Mediterranean, and Angelo's, an upscale Italian establishment. The staff was very attentive; the food and presentation great. It couldn't have been better!“
