“We have this experience two summers as we had a new waiter the first time but same waiter this time. Our order took over an hr to get and the waiter came back after 45 min wait to tell us our 15 month child menu was not available. How could they not know when we ordered from children's menu. Unexceptionable! Then after over hr food came but one did not receive her smash burger. That is inexcusable! Waiter then came back to apologize. The manager was very polite and comp our meal. We actually liked the food we finally got which is sad. We will not try it again from two experiences the same.“

“Dining at Joy Sushi was, without a doubt, one of the most incredible culinary experiences we’ve had, and not just in Vail, but anywhere. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that made us feel right at home.

The sushi and sashimi were unbelievably fresh—each bite practically melted in our mouths. You could truly taste the quality and care that went into every piece. The rolls were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly creative. The combinations of flavors were thoughtfully crafted and balanced perfectly, and absolutely delicious.

We were especially impressed by how reasonably priced everything was, especially considering the high quality of the ingredients and the location in Vail. It felt like such a hidden gem, just a short drive from our hotel. We were so impressed after our first dinner that we came back again two nights later, and honestly, we would have gone all three nights if we hadn’t made other plans.

Joy Sushi has officially become a must-stop for us whenever we’re in town. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers such a consistent and exceptional experience across the board—from food to service to value. The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the side salad as I was hoping for a more traditional Austrian or a German salad with pickled veggies and vinegarette. And it was hotter (spicer) than expected. The biscuit with the ham and hot pepper jelly was just ok, but smaller than the $6 cost would justify. The clam chowder was the only part of the meal that was above average.“

Great spot to stop in, warm up, and get some great BBQ. Get there before the lunch rush to make sure you get a seat. Tables by the windows have a beautiful view of the mountain. When the weather is warmer you can sit outside. They have picnic tables and lawn chairs.

“Wow, one of the best restaurants on Vail mountain! For starters, this restaurant blew my mind away, especially it being 2 miles high! The pulled pork was so tender, the ribs were some of the best that I have ever had, the sauce is the bomb, and the prices were reasonable for Vail! Pro tip, use your epic pass if you have it, it will save you a drastic amount of money!

Vegetarian options: This is a bbq, so there is not many veggie dishes

Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for dietary restrictions!

Parking: In terms of ski parking, there are many racks outside to “park” your skis. However, you can’t drive up to here!

Service was prompt and super friendly, food was delicious and prices were... well it's Vail! So $150 for dinner wasn't a big surprise! Ambiance is great!! Rustic cowboy with big picture windows looking out on a beautiful patio that is under repair. It was a great evening and we'll be back! Hey, they have pizza!!“

“I've been skiing in Vail for awhile. If you don't ski, take the Gondola up and have a meal here. The views are amazing. While I understand everything is more expensive due to the logistics of getting it up the mountain, the prices here are even high for the mountain. The 2-star experience was mostly awful service... We only got our first drinks around 2 mins before we were given the cheque. Food was delivered wrong. Only saw the server once until we complained after food was delivered.

5-star experience was amazing the server was the best I've had in years. Charismatic, helpful, attentive. Pizza with honey wasn't a good decision. But was great food for everyone else.“

Parking: The restaurant is in one of the hotels and parking is not available unless you are staying at the hotel. However, there is parking and a garage, but it is a bit of a walk.“

“La Tour is our favorite restaurant in Vail for a special family dinner. We go there on anniversaries, birthdays, and holidays. We went last night to celebrate Father's Day. As always, the staff was welcoming, kind, and caring -- including the busperson, our waiter, and the owners, who personally greeted us. The atmosphere is lovely. The food was excellent and obviously prepared with lots of care. We highly recommend La Tour.“
