“Just moved to the area and didn’t have much in the fridge, so we ordered dinner from here. The girl who answered the phone was super friendly, and the delivery guy was genuinely happy, great energy all around and I love that lol. And they had our food at the door in under ten minutes. Granted I’m like a half mile away, but still! Super fast delivery.

We got pork fried rice, egg rolls, boneless spare ribs, and chicken and broccoli. Solid 8/10 on the food, but the customer service, 10/10. This is that classic takeout, comfort Chinese food, hits the spot. Some options might not be good for you but it’s good for your soul lol Will be ordering from here again.“

“EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I placed an order through doordash. After the delivery was about 10 minutes outside the later end of the window, I called the restaurant just to make sure they received the order. The woman who answered the phone didn’t hesitate to say “it’s on the way!” A few minutes later, the food was at my doorstep from one of their own delivery drivers. (I’m so sorry I didn’t have cash to tip him directly because of doordash’s error!)

The General Tso Tofu was DELICIOUS, (vegan), and piping hot when it got here! I will absolutely come pick up at Moon Star in the future! :)“

“Food is excellent! Used to be an Oriental Gourmet in Southbury customer but switched because the quality and taste of their food degraded so much within the last year or so and never got better. “This restaurant has a very nostalgic vibe to it. Minimal decoration and it’s basically come in, eat, and leave. The menu is rather extensive and authentic. The egg roll and general Tsao chicken were amazing, very fresh, tenders and flavorful. The grill was great. The boneless ribs were disappointing and cold. They didn’t serve tea but I think you could buy it. The prices were reasonable. We order a lunch plate and it was $12.00 for a soup, egg roll, entree and choice of rice.the vegetable fried rice was just okay. The wonton broth was very good but the wonton dough was too thick. I do strongly recommend this place.“

“Best dim sum restaurant that I have EVER been to, and I constantly travel the US! I ordered 6 items, enough to feed a family of 4 and the bill was under $50. ALL of their home made sauces and dumplings were the best I've ever had. Don't miss their dan dan noodles, garlic cucumber, or hot and sour soup.“

Some places don't put enough vegetable or egg in, this restaurant hits the sweet spot in my opinion. I often take an extra order of it home. “Im gonna be dead honest with yall, this is the best Chinese food on the planet. I don’t even care who’s cooking Chinese food in actual China. It’s not better than this place. This is one of those hidden gem places you bring a friend to. The crab rangoons are made with some kind of thin flaky crispy coating. It’s genuinely S tier. I feel like the cooks here actually take pride in their work and aren’t just doing it for money. It’s so damned good omg. The lady is hella rude sometimes but she could literally slap me in the face and I would still come here.“

“We have gone to several Chinese restaurants in the area and Golden Dragon tops all of the restaurants. The food was delicious and the staff were wonderful with beautiful spirits. The young lady at the counter greeted us with a beautiful smile, she noticed that I was amazed and loved all of the plants that she gave me a piece of one of the plants so I can plant it. This is going to be our FAVORITE CHINESE spot.“

“First time ordering here but we were all tired & no one wanted to cook & this was nearby. I was scared to order after reading some of these reviews. But we were all pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s standard Chinese fare but it was good. There was a lot of meat in every dish we ordered (Lo Mein, chicken chow Mein, pork fried rice, sweet & sour chicken) and it was perfectly cooked. I didn’t care for the fried wontons but everyone else liked them. Wonton soup had plenty of wontons and was yummy. Loved the sweet & sour chicken - very lightly fried so it wasn’t heavy & dull. We all voted we would go here again.“

“Guys I’m telling you they hit the nail on the head with this one. I don’t know about you but i often get the same thing from chinese restaurants: boneless spare ribs. Now I have gone to many a chinese restaurants, I am no amateur. I was worried how these would come out because I ordered them 40 min or so before closing. I even grabbed extra soy sauce anticipating them to be dry and juiceless… I could not have been more wrong. The succulent smell of the sweet sauce paired with fried rice made my nose (and tummy) very happy. Not to mention the staff was very polite and friendly. I did not stay, but the interior was quite elegant. It’s not like it was gourmet either. I mean i payed typical tackout price, for a typical takeout combo platter, and they just got it so good. “I lived a mile away from this place for 20 years. This was our go-to Chinese take-out restaurant. I was down south for eight years and now, I’m in Branford. We have not gotten any decent Chinese food in Branford, so I decided to pick up a quart of pork-fried rice last night as a little test. I was delighted to see that the same family owned the restaurant. They were still so pleasant and the quality had not diminished in the slightest. The food is great and unlike most other Chinese restaurants the portions haven’t decreased, price although higher than before but not significantly. If you order online you can use a credit card if you wait until you get your order in person you will need cash. I travel 45 minutes to get my Chinese food from them because they are that good!“

“I used to go here growing up. It was my favorite Chinese take out. Decided to stop by and grab lunch yesterday (3/23/23) and it was just as good as I remember it! I ordered the bbq spareribs and pork fried rice along with a wonton soup and they were all DELICIOUS! Can’t wait to order from there again!

The person in charge Jay is friendly and knowledgeable! Their ambience is cozy and the hotpot is not dangerous for little ones because is concealed inside not with an external pot that can spill! I've been so many hotpots in Asia this is my first time seeing such automatic hotpot lift up and drain out the soup! The pork bone soup is good not too salty! The shui mai is huge although is pricey for 4 pieces are $8! The buffet for hotpot for one is $29.99 that's worth it! The fish balls and xiao long bao are good! The steamed pork ribs are good! Those who gave negative reviews are inaccurate! I've little ones with me and I'll definitely will bring my kids there to eat again when we want to eat Chinese food! We love hotpot and dim sum! Jay told me this is first dim sum restaurant in Connecticut! We are glad we went there today! It was a wonderful experience and the staffs are so friendly and the food were made on time although we have to wait 18 mins for the xiao long bao to make the 2nd time! If you have many with you advise to order 2 right at away to avoid waiting! There are 2 giant vip rooms they are see through glass if you have big families or Friends this an awesome place to come and enjoy your meal. It'll really nice when kids are bigger that I don't need to watch them running around but is highly recommended place after I had been there myself!“

“We have been coming here for years since their daughter was a little girl. She used to sit at a table and do her homework while her hard working parents worked. The food is great, they are very efficient and we highly recommend this take-out place.“

“Ming Feng offers great food. Some dishes are better than others and specific to the person.

My Asian wife and I love the Moo Goo Gia Pan. The Ribs with bone, chicken on a stick, hot and sour soup, fried wontons, spring rolls, chicken wings, French fries for the kids and much more are very consistent and IMO 4.5⭐️

In our opinion Meng Feng is the best we've had in the area. I personally have been going to Meng Feng since 1986 and now the 4th owner. A few times a week is a must.“

“My fiancé and I loyally order from here when we are craving Chinese food or sushi. Not only does the food always hit the spot, but their service is amazing. When I informed the woman working at the front of my gluten sensitivity, she took time to run through every ingredient and its contents and triple checked there would be no contamination (who knew imitation crab had gluten?). They took my sensitivity very seriously and I’m extremely grateful for that, as this service is rare.

“I arrived in Milford. Connecticut around 7:45 pm from New Jersey. I checked in to my hotel then arrived at Dumpling House around 8:30 and ordered Scallion Pancakes, Stir-fried Bok Choy and Mushrooms, and Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes. They all worked well with each other; The scrambled egg dish was surprisingly wonderful: perfectly-cooked scrambled eggs sauteed with fresh tomatoes till the maters release their juices. there was enough bok choy and eggs with tomatoes left over that I just mixed them with a free bowl of steamed brown rice that came with the bok choy dish, and it'll be my breakfast tomorrow“
