Kyle, my server, was exceptional and provided top notch service throughout my visit. I started with spicy chicken wings with the trufallo sauce. think these wings were smoked. I like my wings grilled. They were good just not excellent. The house burger was very good but it wasn't big enough to justify price. The brioche bun was sweet and soft. The caramelized onions were delicious. The shoestring fries were great. How do you go wrong with shoestring fries? I had a drink from the bar but I forgot what it was. A lot of crushed ice and not a lot of alcohol. I was disappointed in this. Overall it was a fine early afternoon dining experience before my show“

“Been going here for over a decade, and Harvest remains the best breakfast/brunch/bakery in the area. They have fresh baked items in the bakery case daily that are priced reasonably, and their scones are THE BEST with great flavor and spot-on texture. Dining in, I always enjoy the Farmer's Benedict with a side of fresh baked sourdough toast. I prefer my eggs poached hard, and they gladly accommodate this request. On top of the most amazing food, the friendly staff, great service, and a cozy atmosphere makes every experience dining in a pleasure!“

In a very lively area.
We got the :
-Cowboy burger itg side of fries - good burger,the bacon was super crispy
-Ahi tuna burger with a side of calslaw- surprisingly juicy and the seasoning was delicious.And the slaw was very tasty
-Buffalo shrimp - just YUM
-Egg plant fries - not my favorite,was a bit too oily,the bayter is too heavy for the eggplant
Washed it ll down with a vanilla milkshake

“I haven't been there for probably twenty years. My ex wife's grandmother would take us there. I decided to bring my almost adult children there. A very old school restaurant. You get the choice of soup af the day or salad. I was a little apprehensive ordering the chicken marsala. Many times I have let down eating it without the marsala flavor. I know how to cook. The wine has to be reduced by 3/4 to get the taste. I asked the waiter if they did indeed reduce it. He told me yes. I wasn't disappointed with my selection. My son ordered a New York strip. Me was satisfied. I was happy to see his hony mustard was only used for his fries. My daughter ordered something Italian. Not sure what it was, but it was like 3 servings. A restaurant that has been in business for many years. This tells me that they are doing something right, as with our dinner.“

“We booked The Tavern for our October 2021 wedding right before the pandemic hit. Throughout the entire planning process and hundreds of questions, Jasmine was always readily available via email or text up until wedding day (even when we became date twins). Everything came out beautiful, the set up for dinner and our ceremony was perfect! The grounds were perfect for our pictures. Everyone loved the appetizers during cocktail hour and our cake was delicious. We had a few mishaps during our dinner, but we didn’t let that fog the happiest day of our lives. Jasmine also quickly took action and made things right. They will likely be my go-to for other events because ours was greatly executed with the help of my in-laws, Lynne (sorry if I spelled it wrong), and Jasmine. My favorite thing about having them as our venue was that we didn’t have to clean up anything or set up anything. Lynne made sure things were arranged accordingly and brought my vision to life. Even when we had to create a back up plan because of weather Jasmine and Lynne helped to calm my nerves about the last minute changes.“

“Sister’s is a small and cozy neighborhood cafe located in the north end of Hartford that feels very homey. Great food, good vibes, and friendly service. The menu is a blend of Jamaican and Black American comfort food. I started to get the ackee and salt fish but stuck with an old southern favorite my grandma used to make. The fish and grits with a side of eggs didn’t disappoint! The fish was seasoned and fried perfectly and the grits were buttery and soft. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town.“

“We stopped here for a late breakfast on the way home from a vacation in the Berkshires. We had a great breakfast and our server was very good. We both had egg breakfasts, but I also had pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were very good and had a little bit of crisp to them which I enjoyed. The maple syrup was provided in a little bottle which we thought was a nice touch. Then we took advantage of their $6 take home meals if you have bought an entree, so we got their Meatloaf Dinner and their Grilled Chicken Dinner to bring home for our dinner. This was a pretty good deal making their regular eat-in menu even better.“
