We didn't get there until a few minutes before close so we grabbed a couple items and ate them in the car so we didn't disturb the close routine. All the staff was very cheerful, friendly, and helpful. We ordered the Ube Custard Danish, Black Sesame Cake, and I believe a salted caramel chip cookie. All of the items were absolutely delicious. “AMAZING. I saw a cake BBC made for a friend’s party, and it was so incredible and so delicious that I ordered the cake for my husband’s toga-themed birthday party from here. When the owner asked what I wanted, I told her to use her own creation, and I’m so glad I did. The cake was a true masterpiece with fig leaves, columns, frosting made to look like stone, and she even put his name on a plaque. It was a feast for the eyes, and all of our guests oohed and ahhed when they saw it. And it was DELICIOUS. I never saw a cake get devoured so quickly. There wasn’t a crumb left. “Harpo’s Bakery, is an unassuming little bakery in South Glastonbury. The woman behind the counter, assuming the owner (she’s always there), is so very sweet. This morning I ordered a sausage/egg/cheese on a croissant and a Boston Cream donut for my wife. Not only was I a hero when I came home because the donut was so good, the breakfast sandwich was one of the best that I have ever had! “Just started coming here not too long ago and have not been disappointed! The bagels are delicious and always fresh. We call ahead and have our order ready within 10 minutes. The donuts are delicious, my favorite right now being the Oreo one. The staff is very friendly, we were attended to by a lady who was very friendly and courteous. With 2 coffees, 2 bacon egg and cheese sandwich bagels, and 3 donuts… the total cost was about $32. She even threw in an extra donut 🩷. All staff members have been very friendly and kind.
