“Our table of four was outside and it started to drizzle, our waiter was attentive and asked if we wanted to move to a covered table. We did. We ordered 3 apps, sides of garlic mashed potatoes, broccoli, and a 50 oz tomahawk ribeye with sauted mushrooms and onions for the table. Ribeye perfectly med rare! Family Flamez Restaurant in Fairfield, CT, is the best Jamaican Restaurant in ALL of CT.
I bought a medium Oxtail with rice and peas. After the first bite, I don’t know what happened, because the plate was empty in a flash. Luckily I bought a Festival and I used it to wipe up every last bit of the gravy, it was that good!!!

It's simply as small spot with a few tables where you can either stop in for a quick lunch or you can sit with a friend to have a meal while no one bothers you. It's never been busy when I've gone but don't let that fool you into thinking that it's not a good spot. The food is good. You can order from the ready made stuff on display or from the menu where all is cooked to order, which is what I usually do but not because the already made food isn't good, because I've had almost everything and have no complaints. I just usually want something like skirt steak which is so good. They're fast and good. I highly recommend if you haven't already realized that, lol. Btw, it's no longer called Ramirez.
