Family Flamez Restaurant in Fairfield, CT, is the best Jamaican Restaurant in ALL of CT.
I bought a medium Oxtail with rice and peas. After the first bite, I don’t know what happened, because the plate was empty in a flash. Luckily I bought a Festival and I used it to wipe up every last bit of the gravy, it was that good!!!
If you’re ever in CT and looking for authentic Jamaican Cuisine, Family Flamez is the place to go. Sorry no photos to display because the food was gone before I knew it. Compliments to the Chefs!!!!“

“Great place for dining and drinks, especially when you compare it to the other establishments in the area. The best quality is the service, which is surprisingly pristine considering how busy this place gets, especially during happy hour. The place can be packed to the brim with people, and you will still get served quickly without diminishing the quality of the food/drinks. You can watch the bartenders make the drinks in front of you, and they serve you within minutes without cutting corners, before moving onto the next person. I’ve seen places half as busy, take twice as long to serve their patrons.“

The restaurant offered a good selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. We were pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes - usually, restaurants offer much smaller portions during Restaurant Week, but that was not the case here. The service was very attentive and fast. The place offers a pleasant ambiance and well-spaced tables. We visited this place before and always had an excellent experience.
