“I chose the sushi deluxe, and I guess it’s similar to an omakase style. They told me it would be 9 pieces with one roll, and honestly, all the selections were great. The fish was very fresh and high quality. I was also really impressed by their service.

My friend and I were deep in conversation and lost track of time, but they never rushed us to leave. I will definitely be coming back and will make a reservation next time (we were lucky to get seats with no wait just by walking in)!“

“Kotobuki is an authentic Japanese restaurant with excellent food and service. The head chef is the owner -- Masanori Sato, who goes informally by the moniker "Masa." Masa is always busy, behind the such bar, creating his excellent delicacies. My favorite is the sushi and sushi rolls -- always fresh and delicious. In addition to the traditional rolls, there are some wonderful in-house creations such as the Spicy Betty Roll, Lobster Roll (my wife's favorite), and my favorite, the Kevin Roll. The latter, in deference to the national color of Ireland, is spicy tuna wrapped in slices of tuna, fried, and covered with avocado (green, of course). The setting is not overdone, to say the least, but is very basic -- a variety of wooden tables surrounded by walls enhanced with various pieces of art appropriate to the cuisine and culture. The tables are separated by cloth partitions highlighting Japanese scenery. The table service is excellent, the staff is very accommodating, and shout-outs are certainly appropriate for Mr. Sato's wife (head waitress) and Jenny (one of the welcoming waitresses). Moreover, the dining room is very quiet, conducive to conversing with cohorts without the need to raise one's voice. It should be mentioned that Kotobuki remained open during the pandemic, serving both take-out meals AND in-house specialties.“

“I just ‘rediscovered’ this wonderful sushi restaurant in Stamford. The new owner, Fiona is wonderful. Friendly and knowledgeable about her menu options as well. Lulu was my waitress. She was terrific. The service is very good. The (3) sushi chefs are very talented. Great, fresh and delicious offerings. Even the kitchen has delicious pan fried pork dumplings and drunken noodles. “My family and I have been going to Open Rice for 10 years! Their food os always fresh and delicious. My kids love their Sesame Chicken, Steak Hibachi and General Tso Chicken and they never disappoint. I enjoy the Poke Bowl as they offer a full bowl of delicious, healthy options! “I'd like to happily say that I've been to this place several times and ordered delivery a few times as well and they've been consistently great. All staff are very friendly, and the delivery is fast and correct. They have great lunch specials with rolls, but I've had dinner there before, too which is just as good. Hibachi-seafood(though I had it served to the regular table)-was delicious and a quality portion, but the sushi is just as good. Their avocado salad is great.“

“Came here to eat in New Year’s Day. Miso soup was so good. We ordered many hand yolks between two people. There was one tool I didn’t like too much I can’t remember the name now but all the rest were fresh and delicious.

“If you like sushi and really delicious and we'll prepared food. This is the pla e for you. I usually order some sushi rolls, the fish soup and my favorite is the vegetables in garlic sauce. Absolutely delicious. They also make the best cheese cake around.“

“One of the only places around that is Asian food with a nice atmosphere. The dumplings were especially delicious, and the salad and miso soup were especially good. Then the bento box is always fun. The only negative was that the teriyaki chicken could have a little more char on it.“

“I finally got to try this restaurant after the shut down of Ichiban and I was not disappointed, the chicken teriyaki has a more soy taste to it than sweet which I didn’t mind from Ichiban. The chicken teriyaki was delicious but the only critic I have is, for the extra portions of meat or shrimp plating it better in the tray because the sauce was dripped all over the place. Other than the plating critic, that’s all I have to say, good job and Welcome!

Water Moon is such a cozy little gem. The vibe is super relaxing, and the dumplings? Unreal. So flavorful and perfectly made, we couldn’t stop talking about them. Our server, Anna, was the sweetest and made everything feel extra special. Sad they’re closed for remodeling, but I’m already excited for their return. Definitely a favorite!
