They switched to new gloves without asking and when they accidentally touched regular bread they made a whole new panini without even asking. They also wrap the panini in tin foil before pressing. “I recently visited Subway in Plainville, and overall it was a good experience. The food was fresh and tasted great, and my order was made just the way I wanted.

Before I ordered, there was a situation where another customer was arguing with one of the employees, which made things a bit uncomfortable. However, the staff handled it professionally and continued serving customers as best as they could.

Despite that moment, my visit was positive. The service was efficient, and the sandwich quality was good. I would still come back again.“

“11/09/24- I stopped by after work heading to the hotel and George was on duty. He was busy, but immediately acknowledged me and went to wash up and came back happy.

We discussed the subs and he recommended #34 Spcy Nachos Steak. He added the way it says, but without green 🫑, extra jalapeños.

This is day two experience and I don’t know if previous reviews were out of anger because I have had great customer service.

11/08/24- I haven’t been to a Subway in years and today I stopped by for the $6.99 special. I walked in and was loudly greeted by Ilvin who was friendly and made me feel like I’m an old customer. He made all the customers feel comfortable and happy to be there.

Subway has so many new meals I asked Ilvin about the different subs. Ilvin did not seem put out and he went over the breads, the meats and all the toppings. He made it easy to order but hard to choose 😋

I ordered #23 Hotshot Italiano Sub based on his recommendation and it did not disappoint because I enjoyed every bite.

He wasn’t stingy with the jalapeños and he added just enough sauce that it didn’t make the bread soggy.

Ilvin explained how to earn points. If he isn’t the manager he is manager material with his positive attitude. I asked about the other guy in the back and Ivin said they are a team. I was impressed he spoke well of his staff.

I leave in a week, but I may start eating a new subway every day thanks to Ilvin and my great experience! Ya Sabes! 😎

Kid-friendliness: I am sure they have a sub for every kid. If the kid is picky or not, chubby or thin there’s a sub on the menu for them.“

“The subway in Portland, Connecticut is pretty much the only good subway in my whole area. Subway used to be the best fast food place, but they have all gone downhill. And this one in Portland is great because all the vegetables are fresh. The people that work there are not only friendly, but are very helpful and genuine. And no other subways are this good. “Good place the workers are fast and efficient. They also change their gloves frequently. The prep station is clean and the meats and veggies are fresh. The only thing complain about is the amount of bums outside it’s not just one it’s multiple asking for money or to buy them something it’s actually pretty annoying and some of them are disrespectful. Why are they allowed to be on the premises? pan handling is illegal. But other than that the food and service is good.“

“I've never had an issue with this specific store. It's a small Subway, but the guy that works there is extremely kind and friendly and the food comes out as it should. I only go to subway if I'm working a fast paced day and this one is absolutely fine.

The new owners at this Subway in Plantsville are absolutely incredible. Even with a brand-new staff, they were fully present—supporting and guiding without ever taking over. They made sure their team had everything they needed, stepping in only to answer questions or offer help, especially when something went off-menu. I asked for a salad, which wasn’t listed, and they still made me a fresh, chopped salad without hesitation. It’s clear they’re focused on building a strong, well-trained team and delivering excellent customer service. You can feel the care in everything they do. I’ll definitely be back!“

“I love subway. To be honest I eat here a lot more than I should, but the new revamped subway is killing if! I love how everything is more fresh and healthy. The tuna subs are my go to. I literal die for a tuna sandwich every other week or so. If your looking to get loaded up with as much veggies, and other toppings for your sandwich (if your a sandwich lover or extraordinaire like myself I wouldn’t say subway makes the best sandwich’s but for something that’s located literally every there I’d say it’s worth it) I love the atmosphere when I walk in the music is just right and the wood from the floors is clean and smells like pine sol. (Keep in mind it doesn’t always smell this way) but hey nothing last forever. Except for the taste of that delicious sandwich as I wish for more do that sweet onion teriyaki sauce. Ohh man. 5 stars!“
