“Hands-down the best Italian food I have ever had—and I do not say that lightly. I would absolutely drive 8 hours just to eat here again. That’s how good it was. I started with the burrata appetizer, served with baby arugula, fire-roasted red peppers, and prosciutto. Fresh, creamy, perfectly balanced. For entrées, I had the linguini with veal meatballs and I also tried the pan-seared scallops over cheese ravioli, with baby spinach, sun-dried tomatoes and wild mushrooms. This dish alone deserves its own standing ovation. This is the kind of place that reminds you what really good Italian food is supposed to taste like. So if you’re anywhere near Southbury or honestly anywhere in Connecticut, go. And if you’re 8 hours away like me? Still go. It’s worth it“

“This is always my choice for my birthday celebration. I have a hard time choosing between the scampi and veal Diorio. Went with the veal and as always not disappointed. My husband had the scampi so I got a taste 😊. We shared the chopped salad which is more than enough for 2!! I recommend the Pear Pressure martini 😂“

I ordered the Zuppa di pesce ( one of my favorite hard to find meals ) absolutely everything I was hoping it would be and more . Very extensive menu if you can't find something here to tickle your taste buds maybe your not human . The service was awesome. The restaurant itself ain't very fancy but a steady flow of traffic of people picking up and calling in for orders . They are definitely doing something right . Me and the wife was in from out of town for a funeral. And we was very satisfied with our meals and service . So if your in the area this place is definitely worth the stop .“

Before the “stay at home” order went into effect, I stocked up on their frozen dinners and lots of pasta sauce. Always love having these in our house and especially so now. We recently tried the frozen linguine w/white clam sauce I had picked up. It was our first time for this dinner and WOW! It was fabulous. My husband says it’s the best he’s ever had. “We went last night, SOOOOO GOOOD!!!!! I got a short rib special over pappardelle as an entree - with escarole and beans for an appetizer. My daughter had angel hair pasta and garlic bread with cheese - her fave. We ended with Affogato and rice pudding, and took a cannoli home. I must say, not only was the service phenomenal, our waitress’ was beyond wonderful, so service oriented, and her daughter shares the same name as mine does. From start to finish it was such a fantastic experience and the food was amazing, so much left over - we will be eating the leftovers for a week!! We will definitely be back!“

“Tried Pizzaro’s Pizzeria for the first time. My wife and I shared a large antipasta salad and a large cheese pizza with garlic, half pepperoni and half broccoli. Everything was great. While this is more a takeout place they have large booths and the service was excellent. The salad was awesome and so large we took 1/4 of it home. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust with a delicious sauce. I’m not a fan of the outer crust but this was so good I ate everything. I highly recommend their pizza. We have to go back and try their subs and meals as I witnessed many people getting these and pizza for takeout. I give it five stars. We will be back.“

From there, this beautiful Sunday (9/14) we ate at Pizza Castle Resturaunt. No complaints! The staff was nice. Our server was excellent, in spite of the customers shw servied! 17 of us alone at our table. Food: Excellent!“

“I had lost power for 28 hours last week. I called Carlito’s on Friday evening 6/28 after I got my electricity back ?. I had salad, warm
rolls, fried zucchini with marinara sauce, my entree was 2 sautéed soft shell crabs & pasta.
The service was amazing! Food delicious!
I decided I had room for dessert. I sat in the lounge and had a scrumptious chocolate lava cake!!!
I don’t want all of my food delivered at once. At Carlito’s I didn’t feel rushed. Warm rolls and ice water. Appetizer. Salad. Entree. All served after you have finished the previous course. I enjoyed a very relaxed evening!

“Writing this review as much for the restaurant/cafe as for sibling business next store, the commercial espresso repair business also operating under the name Cafe Italia.

I found these guys looking for a specialist to rehab a commercial Nuova Simonelli single-head machine we use in our retail showroom. And I came to the right place!

Incredible workshop and know-how. These guys have full lathe and CNC capabilities to make their own parts as needed.They've also got a direct lines to Italy to order parts direct and I wouldn't bring my machine to any other place for service.

Good honest old world excellence -- highly recommend the repair and service aspect!

But I also got to experience the restaurant/cafe when picking up my machine after it was serviced. Feels like walking through a portal directly to Southern Italy. This place had incredible coffee and more authentic atmosphere than most other cafes this side of the Atlantic.

Stand at the counter and order an espresso -- worth it!

Stand-up family business. They're super busy so we were lucky they were able to take our repair. They even came back for a housecall after we experienced a later issue with the machine that was totally unrelated to their work -- small bit of sediment from the city waterline clogged a valve. These guys came in like a NASCAR pit crew and tore the machine down, diagnosed and fixed the issue, and left w/out accepting a dime.

Recommend their repair service 10/10.

“We live in Oakville and we have been getting our take out from Paradise for over 15 years. We just love everything there. We are never disappointed. They have saved us on many occasions with their party pizza, which is so reasonably priced. My kids would always have a lot of friends over, we can feed everyone and not break the bank. Dave and his staff are so friendly. We are actually on a first name basis because I am in there so often. The delivery drivers are awesome. If you haven't tried their food, please do.“

“I been trying to find a good grinder/deli place where I live and I went to the other one on town that everyone says was good and it wasn't but then I seen this nice place and their meats are so good they got all the good stuff my grandfather would have at his house when I was kid.
