“Just went tonight and grabbed 2 chicken platters to go with my fiancé. The employees were wonderful. Beyond kind and personable. The food I don’t have words for. I didn’t take a photo due to being over excited but the portions are more than fair for what you pay. The hot sauce is VERY hot for me personally but I like it. The salata that comes with the entree is so fresh and tasty. The chicken is perfectly cooked - tender and seasoned deliciously. Even the rice is a masterpiece. We also highly recommend the pakora chips! They’re crispy on the outside, nice and soft on the outside, seasoned, and made fresh to order. We were even told by the staff that we were welcome to sit and make ourselves comfortable while we waited for the chips since they are made to order but our food was done so fast we barely had a chance to! We’re not done eating but we’ve already agreed this will be our Saturday night go to. For 2 people getting 2 platters and a side of pakora chips it was just $30. You’d spend more per person getting dinner from any other restaurant around.”

“Its not as fancy as a lot of other Japanese restaurants but the food is as good or in most cases better than any other Japanese restaurant I've ever been to. Very reasonable prices. Even the quality of their green tea ice cream is superior. The staff is always friendly and ready to please. Plenty of free and convenient parking.”

“I always come to this restaurant, the food is so good, the drinks are always spot on, not too strong and not too sweet just how I like it. The servers/bartender are very friendly. They have some nice decorations put up if you want to take some pictures and the atmosphere is nice. The dinning room is a perfect place to chat and feel at peace with the music. The bar is great to come have some quick drinks a couple of tapas, listen to music and leave happy, the patio is a nice place to enjoy the view and weather. Prices match the quality of the food. The point is this is one of my favorite places to come to with my family, wife, friends. they do such a good job with everything they do! I want them to get more recognition because they definitely have so much potential!”

“We held our wedding rehearsal brunch at Esca Wine Bar, and it was wonderful. The staff were so accommodating when we realized we hadn’t counted ourselves (the bride and groom) in the guest count and needed 2 more seats, quickly making the adjustments to the tables and to the food. They were able to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions, as well as providing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to everyone. Our host even took a group photo for us at the end of the event. We absolutely recommend having an event here at Esca!”

Full review- Just found out about this gem and had to try it. As a connoisseur of Caribbean cuisine it is our mission to try and review every restaurant we can in the area.

Apparently, they’ve been open for a few months but we weren’t aware. Found them on a google maps search at 5.05pm on Saturday. The listing said they closed at 5pm. On a whim called the phone number immediately and pleaded with them to stay open for pick up. The kind lady replied that she was planning to be open for another couple of hours. So I jumped in the car and headed over there quickly.

We ordered variety of dishes :
- Chicken jerk chicken
- Curry goat
- Oxtail

The jerk chicken was running out so we completed the order with a little bit of stew chicken.

All the dishes were very good.
The rice and peas were truly special - Perhaps an extra dose of Love❤️
The Stew chicken was also outstanding.
We will be ordering all these dishes again.

The location is incredibly convenient. it is on College Street literally a block from Main Street.

Middletown is emerging us a culinary destination, and this lovely cozy Jamaican spot really elevates the game.

The food is good. The people are wonderful. the location is fantastic.

That is an awesome option. You can also add egg. (For a slight up-charge) to your rice which is a delicious option too.The crab Rangoons are delicious and you get way more in an order than other Chinese restaurants in town.
