“I was looking for a bakery that makes great birthday cakes and a friend recommended I try delicious bakery . I called and ordered the staff was very helpful and accommodating. When I picked up the cake I was amazed at the variety of fresh pastries and breads . Needless to state but I left with a lot more than a birthday cake . Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this bakery.“

“This little bakery is warm and cozy with a small table area with places to eat. Woman at the counter was nice and answered all my questions. Today was my first time there and definitely won't be my last time. I got a sourdough parm bagel that was amazing. I considered turning around and getting another. The sourdough English muffins were great too. I also got a cinnamon roll which I haven't eaten yet, but I'm sure its delightful too.“

“Matt hosted My Place Preschool for a field trip. He gave 3 and 4 year olds a tour of the shop and treated us to delicious cookies! 🍪 It was a blast. This bakery offers amazing treats but the owners are local and so wonderful. I was so glad they were able to host us!“

“Steve did our wedding cake on 10/11/25 and it was delicious ! From our first meeting with him he was very attentive, and drew up exactly the type of cake we were looking for. He literally made my Pinterest cake photo into reality. The cake not only looked stunning but it tasted so good too. The cake was so fresh and flavorful. The frosting was delicious. “Ok if you’re looking for some bougie patisserie this isn’t it HOWEVER, this place has the character, charm and personal touch that has been all but destroyed in our culture. Andrew is the best. His baked goods are a lost art and so is the feel of his shop. It is as unique and retro as he is and that is a GOOD thing. He’s one of the few left that knows his customers by name as they walk in and strive to make sure everyone is treated well sure he takes weirdly long vacations and leaves hilarious messages on his phone. But that’s the appeal of this bakery. They make Swedish pastries and bread that you can’t find anywhere. But above all it’s Andrew and his family run bakery. If you want Impersonal Dunkin baked goods baked in a factory in who knows where this ain’t it. Bread and Basket is like visiting Main Street USA that my grandparents reminisced about.Give them a try!!!“

“I have been in foodservice all my life. From catering to Nutrition, to elderly and child nutrition in the education system. And this place is clean and well organized.
I needed a cake in a hurry. I called and they not only answered my call but they came above and beyond. Cake was sweet but not too sweet. It was moist and fluffy. The crème was smooth and soft. It served more than I was told it would. Just a pleasure.
I will be there again. I loved the attention I received.“

“I got a cake from here 2 years and it was exactly what I wanted (the heart cake). My husband loved the taste and kept mentioning it when it got closer to his birthday this year so I, of course, had to get another one. It was AMAZING! Everyone loved it and a few said it was the best cake they’d ever had. Yellow cake with cheesecake filling and buttercream- highly recommend. Steve was also great with communicating and working through my indecisiveness about the design.“

“Costco: how do I love thee? Let me count the ways (just for the bakery). At Thanksgiving they have great pumpkin pies for a truly miniscule price you get a humongous pit! They have bluberry muffins (and other kinds too but we get bluberry only) that are double the size of anyone else anywhere and they are loaded with blueberries and they are like half the price of anywhere else. They have great baguette bread. They now make what they call frenchcountry loaf which to us more closely resembles Italian style crusty bread which we love. For birthdays and special occasions they custom make cakes. They have all types of pastries and cheese cakes and you will love it!“

“I bought Ruffles Potato Chips at BJ’s Wholesale Club in Waterbury, CT Tonight 1/1/2023 @ around 5:30pm and both bags were Cross Contained probably from the factory with something VERY SPICY‼️ Felt like first time I tried Chinese Mustard and at first a little zest so I opened the 2nd bag noticed first few chips then the chip I ate ran to kitchen to spit it out it was SO HOT ?? ? and I still can’t even rinse it off with Hot Water so from me to you AVOID THESE CHIPS until Frito-Lay tells us what happened. “They make the best taralli! And they make many different varieties of taralli. My favorite are the ones with fennel. But they also have red pepper, pepper. There are so many varieties I can't remember them all. Some have a sugar frosting. I eat them like that but they go great with a beer or a glass of wine.“

“We visited Middlebury's greatest ice cream while we made a stop in Middlebury, Connecticut. Despite being a small store, they are able to produce a wide variety of flavors. We were served by a really nice young girl.
The ice cream tastes great. Worth the stop, it is situated in a little strip center.“
