“The place is sort of a cross between a deli, a restaurant, and a market. They serve breakfast and lots of prepared foods are available for lunch. They also sell specialty items like maple syrup and chocolate. A nice place to stay for a meal. My breakfast sandwich was perfect. Surprisingly decent prices too.“

The ability to order online is also super convenient, as it's probably about a 15 minute drive from my office and by the time I get there, my food is always ready for me to pick up and go. “When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.“
