“Annmarie has been running this place literally since I was born. I have been coming here as long as my conscious memory can recall. Way back in the day, they were in the building where the bank is now, on the corner, and eating a turkey sandwich on rye there is one of my earliest memories.

I no longer live in town, but whenever I’m back, I’m going to Pete’s. I usually do two breakfast sandwiches - a ham egg & cheese, and a sausage egg & cheese. For lunch, either the Gold Rush (roast beef) or the Ravishing Rick’s (turkey) will heal you.

Parking: There is tons of parking there’s handicap parking right at the door parking is a breeze

Kid-friendliness: The spot is very kid friendly. They have lots of different options that kids would enjoy grilled cheese, bagels, egg and cheese tuna sandwiches absolutely delicious. They also have lots of pastries on the shelf, pastries chips, macaroons, various various brownies things that would entice a child to eat there.“

“Great place to stop in to when you’re craving a a simple deli-style sandwich. Nothing too fancy but hit the spot I needed it to. Got the Italian combo on white bread, added pickles and dressing on the side, and ate the whole sandwich. They have a nice sized menu, a couple sides in the to-go cooler, a good variety in the beverage cooler and the staff were attentive and kind. Outdoor seating is always a plus. Will definitely be a return customer if I’m in the area.“

The food and the service were both excellent.
Justin gave me a call to go over the order and included some helpful suggestions since he knew the group whom we were catering to very well. I’ve never had a caterer go to such great lengths to ensure we were all happy with the order.

“AMAZING! A.S is amazing. Their staff is so patient and helpful. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the location is near perfect. We usually travel to Norwalk, but thankful they opened a location near Shelton/Monroe. We went before Christmas Eve and it made our holiday feel “normal”.“

“My friend and I stopped in for lunch on a whim since our first two places didn’t work out. We enjoyed what we got I got a well done bacon egg and cheese and my friend had the Gorgonzola salad. “When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.“
