“I had the Neapolitan chicken sandwich, which was the best sandwich I have ever had in my life! The sandwich had chicken, basil, tomato, fresh mozzerella, dressing and roasted pepper.

The sandwich stayed in tact entire time because it had the proper proportions of everything and no one ingredient was overpowering. The ingredients were all very fresh and the chicken was bread nicely, not soggy or crispy. There was a light dressing, enough to give the sandwich more flavor, but just the right amount that it didn't make a mess. I highly recommend this deli if you have not eaten here already, and the Neapolitan chicken sandwich.“

“After driving by this place for so many months, I finally decided to stop it. It was worth the trip. The food is delicious made fresh. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Even the other patrons were very friendly smiles on their faces overall great atmosphere great food great prices worth stopping and take a visit.

Vegetarian options: I’m pretty certain that you can have any of the items substituted on their menu to accommodate a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle their tuna fish is absolutely divine

Parking: There is tons of parking there’s handicap parking right at the door parking is a breeze

Kid-friendliness: The spot is very kid friendly. They have lots of different options that kids would enjoy grilled cheese, bagels, egg and cheese tuna sandwiches absolutely delicious. They also have lots of pastries on the shelf, pastries chips, macaroons, various various brownies things that would entice a child to eat there.“

It’s hard to find good delis these days in Connecticut but this is the place ! The new owner comes from a long years of experience in the kitchen industry and they are very knowledgeable in what you want to eat. No such thing as language barrier, it’s all about communication and how detailed you are with how you want your order to be made.

“I was just finishing up an early morning meeting and was craving a bagel (yeah yeah, insert Jersey joke) so I randomly headed to the center of the next town I drove through and found this shopping plaza. The Monroe deli didn't say bagels but it did say breakfast so I went for it. Am I glad I did. Look at my picture of the breakfast sandwiches menu. Look at #2. That combination was just perfection. The pastrami was lean, the pepper jack added some heat and the pretzel bun was the gravy to put this over the top. This was one of thr tastiest breakfast sandwiches. Period. Bravo! And yum!“

“When I discovered Roxbury Market in the eighties, it soon became one of my favorite destinations. I lived in Bethel, but I’d drive up to Roxbury several times a week for sandwiches. It was remodeled sometime in the nineties, and the small back room had tables to enjoy meals with friends. We’d meet there by Jeep, motorcycle, or whatever and sit for an hour sharing a great sandwich, coffee and soft drinks. I moved to Florida in 2004 and miss the Marketplace. But we manage to visit at least once a year when we come back to Roxbury in autumn.“
