“Randomly stumbled upon Gaetanos in Westport yesterday when looking for a place to get sandwiches before my son’s baseball game. Having grown up in Belmont Little Italy for the first 22 years of my life I was skeptical about the “Arthur Ave style..” claim on the sign. Well I can tell you they delivered and then some! Was warmly greeted, handled samples of delicious cheeses and more. They were too skeptical when I said I grew up on Arthur Ave but once we started chatting they knew I wasn’t BSing. Saw familiar faces and reminisced about life on Arthur Ave. The owners are warm and kind - the real deal keeping it true to the Arthur Ave spirit. Dare I say they might even do it better!! I can’t say enough about the excellent food and service. If I ever find myself in Westport again I will certainly make a visit! Aside from my son’s team’s win, this nostalgic experience truly made my day and made me feel like I was back home in the Bronx when life was more simple. And yes, everything we ordered and sampled was delicious! No skin on the eggplant and bread from Addeo - doesn’t get any better!“

“This review is long overdue, I’ve been going to Mattei’s for a long time now. Their food is outstanding. If you like eggplant this place has the best eggplant I’ve ever had. Not to mention unlike a lot of other places, Mattei’s loads up their sandwiches and gives you PLENTY! The employees are also very polite and happy to help. “I seriously loved this place. The atmosphere and the customer service were amazing, but the food is what really won me over. I just finished eating and felt like I had to write a review. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and so comforting.

Even though the menu is international, there are a lot of Ecuadorian dishes and snacks that really stood out to me. It made me so happy to see my country’s food represented in such a beautiful way. I haven’t experienced that in a long time.

“My wife KiTKat buys our sandwiches from here. We been coming here for years. I never leave a review. I wanted to thank them for treating her with respect. We look at them as grandparents, but they also look very young. They are very respectful torward any culture, doesn’t matter. If you don’t have respect for these beautiful people, then you should be ashamed of yourself. They are very up beat, and lovable. Nowadays it’s hard to let a woman go into and establishment without men disrespecting them, or addressing them with there eyes in a vulture manner. She said when she walks into there establishment, she feels safe. And hearing my wife speak those words, are music to my ears. So thank you to moms and pops. “So I typically have a great sandwich here, but the other day I placed an order over the phone for my grandfather’s birthday, and when I showed up too early to pick up the order I thought I heard they didn’t have one type of meats for the ‘Sweet Italian Combo’ (of course my grandfather’s sandwich, out of all of them ordered). I thought nothing of it as nobody said a word to me from behind the counter. Grabbed the orders and paid, get home and it was a grilled chicken sandwich with ham (random combination) BUT was labeled as the Sweet Italian. It all made sense now, and I was not mistaken from what I heard. The Provy Brother’s would of never of pulled that ‘stunt’ and would have been transparent that they did not have the available meat(s) for the sandwich instead of making whatever they decided AND labelling it as the requested sandwich when it was not. Yes, the sandwich was still good, but imagine my grandfather’s surprise on his 86th birthday that his favorite sandwich he ordered from his favorite sandwich shop was not what he ordered or wanted on his special day. Please don’t EVER do that again to anyone. That was messed up and you all know what you did. And yes, we will give you all another chance as your sandwiches are always great. Just please be honest to your loyal customers.“

“A really good deli spot in Bridgeport. They have awesome sandwiches and soup options. They also have a breakfast menu as well. The lunch spot is no frills, a bunch of trackers to eat your lunch but the staff is really friendly and it’s the type of place when you come in, they remember your name.“

Once you start drinking them, you are not going to drink fake Gatorade drinks that are not only filled with harmful colorants but also contain sugar.“

“Amazing, tiny Polish grocery packed with all manner and variety of Polish goodies. The 2 workers there were most helpful and pleasant. Fun to browse and try new things or find favorites for friends and family. The parking is on Rte 34 and a bit tricky but can be done.“

All of the meals we have had from there are so tasty, fresh and large portions. The staff have always been so friendly and quick for orders.
